What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. In town at an Airbnb and stopped in to pick up a few items. It’s a large store though I don’t think its considered a Kroger Marketplace. It seems tight in this Kroger as you can barely have 2 people in an aisle at a time. Variety is limited and with COVID19 there are a lot of items out of stock. Staff didn’t seem very customer focused and not very happy. Makes me miss the friendly employees back home. Prices were also slightly higher than back at home. Not overly impressed. EDIT AUGUST 2022. Seems like they have improved since our visit almost 2 years ago. Shelves were pretty well stocked and employees seemed a bit more friendly. Store also seemed cleaner and maybe? updated. Nice job.

  2. I had a bad interaction experience with one of the fuel station attendants name Austin. I visited this Kroger to get some gas on my way back home today. I went to pay for my gas at the cashier register. While waiting at the register, I saw Austin through the window writing on a clipboard. I figured he would see someone standing in line and attend to them but he just continued to write as if no one was standing waiting for him to assist. I was aware the he saw me waiting because he looked over and continued to write. I was the only person in line it wasn’t until there was someone else in line that he came over to assisted with me.

  3. Always a good experience.
Shelves are stocked well, staff is helpful and friendly.
Pharmacy associates are always great and helpful.

  4. Fake service dog in a cart, totally disgusting and was barking at my service dog in training, manager Austin I think was his name, asked them the two questions and didn’t kick them out however stayed by me as the guy was in check out. Glad he wanted to learn about service animals, but disturbed that he didn’t kick them out

  5. Bagels are TINY from bakery and they went cheap and use tape instead of bread ties so once you open you cannot use again, have to find another container.

665/Hoover Rd location – This review is for only for our Deli tray order experience. We ordered an almost $400 order for their trays of sandwiches, baked and fried chicken, veggies, vegetables and desserts. Kathy/Cathy who took our order and also facilitated putting it together was amazing. She was super friendly, informative and knew what she was doing. It was nice to deal with a person who knew the ropes and I had confidence in. As far as the food itself, the majority of it was good, especially the chicken.

Pet in a cart, its against health code and was disgusting. Brought it up to 4 different employees while manager was not in building. You would think the employees would know their own policy

My review is not unique to this store, but issues with Kroger in general. I give it 2 stars because their fresh food is better than the other stores, but the shopping experience is dated and horrendous.

I don’t know where to start. When customers are in the store, there should not be pallets sitting everywhere. The employees will block products when they park them next to shelves, or the already tight aisle way becomes impassable. Sure if they were actively unloading, but they park them everywhere and go away. This is in every aisle.

The self checkout is not new. The system has been around since what? The ’90s at least, maybe longer. This issue is that this system has never been updated. At this point they should expect that people know how to use them, and they are not slowly using them anymore. Well it’s been the primary form of checkout for at least 10 years now. The whole system is outdated and archaic. The system is so slow. It has to weigh every item, barcodes are not in a standard place on all items. (and since they sell it they can tell their suppliers they need to be here on a product or we won’t carry it)

With groceries being ordered online now, and the store employee having to “shop” you see they know what needs to be updated, yet they won’t for their customers. The online order pickers get real carts, not baskets in wheels. I would rather a cart, not a basket that forces me to crush my items, or force me through the store is a pattern to not crush my items. They see it’s a problem, but won’t fix it for you.

Another gripe with online orders is they get a different bag. They see the bags are no good so when they have to “shop” they get a lower, wider, stronger bag. Why don’t I as an in-store shopper? You saw it’s a problem, but only you deserve the fix? This kind of practice deserves to be looked at. As consumers we need to speak up, and if they won’t update, we start speaking with our wallet by going elsewhere.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s the same at every store. I don’t understand how the business only makes changes when they have to use their own business. It’s a true sign that the people who run the business don’t even use their own business.
