What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. A truly lovely setting for an unexpected Hotel that is incredibly well equipped, both as a whole and in the individual rooms. This is the perfect place if you are coming for the weekend, coming for business, or coming for an extended stay. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the linens are top-notch. The fully equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator also sports a range and oven, full size microwave and a dishwasher, and there is a ton of storage– and they actually have dishes and cooking items inside the room. The staff are also exceptional, Brittney the GM and Rebecca at the front desk have gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome and safe, and their professional courtesies and wonderful attitude (along with the other staff members and the breakfast and housekeeping staff) truly make you feel welcome as a valued guest. And the setting feels like you’re on a private estate but minutes away from major thoroughfares. Highly recommend!

  2. The hotel was very nice and had great accommodations. My review is really for the service we received while staying at this hotel. Pam was the front desk person who checked us in after driving 14 hours from New Mexico. She made sure that our rooms had the appropriate names on them and so on. After that Pam became our ambassador. She provided service to our little group of competitors that we rarely see in the hotel industry anymore. Special space was offered for my students to consult with each other about their competition as well as making fresh cookies for us after the stressful competition was over. Pam helped to make our stay as amazing as possible. She is the epitome of professionalism and friendliness. I hope that the management team recognizers her willingness to provide the best experience possible to their guests. So if you’re able to, ask for Pam as she will make your stay a memorable one. Thank you Pam for everything you did for myself and the team!!!

  3. The location is great not too far from Restaurants. Breakfast is included. The rooms were clean and up to date. Mattresses are old and need to be flipped or replaced.

  4. This hotel is greattttt.. the staff is exceptional. Highly recommend it. Erin has a pick me up attitude… and just a happy soul.. the check in was great… this coming from an ambassador elite member with Marriott.

  5. Happy faces, friendly people, great customer service!!!!

The breakfast was good, loved the fresh fruit water in the lobby!

Being away from home for 4 weeks is hard but WaterWalk made it a whole lot better! Our perfection. I had room to walk room to room and could do my laundry. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful! I wouldn’t want to stay any place else when visiting Kansas! Super Clean and they had everything you would need to cook a meal in your room. reasonably priced! Within my companies travel budget as well!

We only stayed 2 nights. We have booked an additional stay through Buffy and we will be staying 30 days for a medical procedure. Overall, we really liked the facility and it met our needs.

WARNING WARNING WARNING‼️ They watch you. They track you. Do not be fooled by the friendly faces. My wife and I visited this location for 30 MINUTES‼️‼️‼️ The night auditor Held us up for 15 min in the lobby, talking about ethnic nails, and hair styling. Gave us directions to our friends room and bid us farewell. We did not expect to come back down 15 min later to a MISSING CATALYTIC CONVERTER‼️ My car was parked very visibly to the front door and STILL was vandalized. After receiving all types of conflicting information from the front desk, the police were called and after about 2 hours I received a police report. I was told that I would get a call the next morning from the Hotel manager Mickey (Mischelene) when she arrived at 7:30a. It was nearly 10:00a when I went down to the front desk asking for help. It’s the nonchalant , rudeness , and lack of empathy. Mickey sort of brushed the entire situation off and summed it up with “Ya well it’s happening all over the town, not just here so …”. The blankness was just un called for and the amount of justification that was being distributed was just overall disgusting and rude. $2700 IS NOT WORTH THE VISIT OR THE STAY AT THIS LOCATION 11250 glenwood street OVERLAND PARK KS 66211 The way they handled myself and my family and my situation that took place on their company property. I will continue to encourage ALL TO NEVER EVER GO TO THE OVERLAND PARK LOCATION. ITS A FREE FOR ALL OVER THERE … YOU CAN TAKE WHAT YOU WANT , NO CONSEQUENCES, NO EMPATHY, NOT EVEN A SYMPATHETIC APOLOGY … No one called , no one apologized, everyone was just for self. I felt like I was targeted from the time I entered the location. YOU ALL HAVE BEEN WARNED‼️- Signed -A Very Unhappy no longer a potential customer. The sign says nothing about THEFT.

The pet fee was more than the room cost for the night. That’s completely unacceptable and unexpected to have a fee that is more than the room. We couldn’t go elsewhere because it was past the cancellation deadline (we only booked the day before anyways and they weren’t willing to work with us on that). The pet fee amount was not made available at time of booking (FYI, it’s $125 a night as of the time of this review). Otherwise the place is nice and new in general, and a good price without pets, but there were also old dog toys and food left on the floor in our room that our dog immediately found.

    1) Breakfast not served/included (as advertised), 2) WiFi did not work until brought to the attention of the front desk, 3) Room not clean when checked-in, 4) Dishwasher in the room did not work

Absolute disaster of a management company!! We booked a stay at a VRBO property managed by RealBnB for 7-6 thru 7-8. We arrived at the property around 7pm on 7-6 only to find that the property had ZERO furniture. Immediately Tried to contact RealBnB via their email and as of the writing of this review we have received no response. They also strategically leave no emergency phone number on any of their correspondence. Luckily we were able to obtain alternative accommodations on very short notice. Beware of renting VRBO properties managed by RealBnB.

We stayed at the 517 Holmes at apartment in KC , MO. The layout of this 2/1 apartment was nice. It’s right across from a large park which is also a plus. But it needs some work. I’m leaving this here because throughout our entire stay we weren’t able to have direct contact to the host , no number , no way of emailing them. Maybe because we booked through Expedia, idk. We needed a baby bed, tried to email and had no number to call and ask but I sent and email anyways. They never responded but thank fully a pac n play was in the closet. But this was frustrating at first. I did try the therealbnb number I got off Google and spoke to a lady who said shed call me back but never did……So they need to repair some things

    1. Drive way has a massive pothole at the beginning of it which kept causing our rental to skid and kick up gravel everyday. 2. Dryer was broken and no one told us this prior to our stay and we were counting on using the washer and dryer. 3. Coffee machine lid was broken and there were no coffee filters. 4. No sponges. 5. Clean but not really. Our feet were always turning black from the floors even after sweeping and steam mopping (provided) the dishes were not clean. 6. Dishwasher had no detergent. 7. Bathroom shelf was broken 8. 3 rolls of TP for 4 of us for a 6 night stay 9. Behind the dryer was a large hole where we figured mice or squirrels were trying to get in because we would periodically hear scratching. 10. We thought we were staying in a house because it was listed as a home. We didn’t realize it was an apartment because we couldn’t see the address until after we booked the NON REFUNDABLE stay. That’s was a big let down. Plus lots of stairs from the driveway to the top floor apartment.

They did provide a lot of towels, shampoo and conditioner and body wash. My children were beyond noisy and I didn’t get any complaints which I’m sure there might have been. Neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. It’s very close to the city market.

We probably wouldn’t stay at that particular apartment again. Not sure about this realbnb company either.

My husband and I used them for about half a year and then decided it wasn’t worth it financially. Be ready to be nickel and dimed for things. We started off on a rocky start, as they told us it would take about a month to set it up, but it took two. Granted, a week of that was my fault due, but they never revised their timeline in communicating with us. I will say it was nice not to have to set up a three bedroom house, but the downside was it cost about $20k. A bit after they went “live” with our house on Airbnb we informed them that they had to ensure the stays were 30+ days due to the local regulations. They continued to accept bookings that were less than 30 days, which was frustrating.

I decided to take over managing the house myself and realized a few things that made me super happy we were no longer working with RealBNB. I was charged monthly for cameras, one of which was disconnected when I went to the house to look at it before it was turned back over to me for management. When I asked for information about taking over the cameras it made me think that they were never really monitored or even really checked to see if they were functional. Then there were other weird things, like the closet in the house that was set aside for all the random stuff like extra soaps, toilet paper, linen, and stuff was not well organized. It was an unfinished closet in the basement and they had linen (two comforters and two towels) sitting on the concrete floor and an open sugar bag sitting on a shelf (which would just attract bugs and rodents) as well as expired mini bags of chips. Another weird thing: they bought a blender but no toaster. I just walked through the house and spent about $1k to improve the house (like linen bags to put the clean linen in to store in the closet, a plastic bin with a latching lid to put the food in when stored in the closet, extra extension cords so people don’t have to pull out the mattress to reach an outlet behind the bed, and smaller bathroom trashcans that actually fit in the small bathrooms).

So if you are completely hands off, don’t care about your property or your guests, and don’t mind making virtually no money, then RealBNB is right for you!

The Realbnb team has always been great to work with! Their properties are always in great shape, clean, and well-designed. I would highly recommend staying in their properties if you’re looking for a short or mid-term rental.

Can’t say enough how awesome this company was to deal with! Super easy and friendly. The house was everything they said it was. 100% recommend them and will definitely use them in the future
