2 months agoWe stayed at the Angler Haus.. It wasn’t too far from anything. Very convenient to go grocery shopping, get fast food, or even catch a movie at the drive in. Of course you can see the lazy river it’s just feets away. It was Great. We had the swimming pool if they didn’t want lazy river water, enough space to lazy around the house, and perfect spot to grill outside. At night is where I loved it the most.. we had a screened-in back porch and it was just quiet. I could relax without bugs landing on me. Definitely going back. Oh we were a family of 6 – 4 kids ranging from 17-2yrs old and they loved it too.a year agoThis place was paradise in New Braunfels! Treehouse with lots of space and a big fun pool! A group of us stayed here for a weekend. It was so much fun and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place to groups and families. I’m thinking this will be the spot for our next family reunion! Multiple buildings available for renting and plenty of parking spaces.2 years agoThe Catfish Haus was just perfect for our small party. The house was equipped with everything we needed like we were at home. This place is kid and pet friendly. Even as it rained and stormed for the first half of our trip, it didn’t effect our good time because of the GRAND COVERED PATIO. The rushing sounds of the river just made it a more perfectly beautiful night. Their community pool area was just gorgeous and so inviting. On our last day I called to request a later check out and actually got the owner on the phone. He was more than accommodating and helpful with questions in regards to the final bill. We have found our new secret hide away! *BONUS* House included full size washer and dryer.4 years agoIf you have not been here, it is well worth the trip. We came from Mansfield (fort worth area) and we were in heaven. We arrived May 10th and the summer crowd had not yet arrived, so it was quiet. I’ve been in treehouses before, but never like this. This place exceeded all my expectations. We were a 2 min walk to the Guadalupe River and the pool was right there outside your treehouse. I only had 1 issue and that was the jacuzzi kept breaking down. The water was so cold in the pool/river due to all the rain and I wanted to relax in the jacuzzi, but these damn kids unattended with no parents nearby kept breaking it. Kids don’t belong in a jacuzzi w/o parental supervision. Check out my pictures and you will be making a reservation3 years agoPerfect place to spend holidays with kids and family. Nice quiet location. Has a big pool and hot tub. We stayed in Redwood tree house. All major stores are nearby like Walmart, HEB and all major restaurants also nearby. Would recommend it. Tree house has kids play area underneath with swings, slide etc and kids will enjoy there stay.

a month agoBeautiful property! Clean, smelled wonderful, even had happy birthday balloons for my husband for his birthday! The hospitality and personal texts from the owner made us feel confident & comfortable about our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here!5 months agoVery cute and clean place. Not a B&B though, a cottage rental with basket of granola bars. For the price, one would expect comfortable beds and pillows and it was a bit awkward not to have any kind of vanity surface in the bathroom or the bedroom as well as no closet. There was noise at night from trains and the road, so we didn’t sleep too well between that and the beds.a year agoWow what a getaway! We booked the 3 smaller houses for each of the 3 families. It was the perfect location right around the corner from Gruene. You can go one way and head to some amazing site seeing or go the other and hit up tons of shopping and even HEB! We spent the evenings making s’mores in the fire pit, running around the property and spending quality time together as a family. I stayed here a couple of years ago on a girls trip and it was still just as perfect for a family trip. The property is beautiful and the houses are just the right size! The grounds were cleaned daily and we always came back to a cleaned out fire pit ready to go for that night. I really can’t imagine staying anywhere else. We go to the hill country a couple of times a year and I’ll definitely be a regular at this property!a year agoHad an amazing experience at the Gruene B&B! Was staying in one of the cabins with some family and had a blast playing games and listening to music all night. Such a cute little place and the owners made us feel right at home. Very clean which was a great bonus! Hopefully we’ll be back for a visit soon!a year agoAmazing little cottages. Perfect location, easy access off the highway (can’t hear any car noises). The interiors are really new & tastefully decorated. Comfortable beds, in unit washer & dryer, fully stocked kitchen. Quick drive to town and tubing – overall a wonderful experience! Would definitely come back again, much better than any of the B&Bs or hotels in the area. Aubry is a really kind host who pays attention to detail & gives true southern hospitality. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at the cottages. It was nice a cozy with a full kitchen and all necessary cooking ware. The space was perfect for a family of 5 adults.
The location was also great. Restaurants near by and just a few steps to the river. We were able to get right in and float to the first chute and walk back. We ended swimming across to get back to the cottage. They charge $2 during the weekend to get back in the river. No charge during the week.
We just wrapped up our 2 night stay at the Comal River Cottages for a girls trip. It is the perfect place to stay!!! The cottage is adorable and very convenient. The tube rental is literally next door. You can’t beat this location. Highly recommend for your stay!
Booked for our family vacation. We love to float the river and this location was so conveniently located by the Comal river. Super cute house, large kitchen, comfy beds and linens, awesome rain shower, nice fire pit in the backyard. We enjoyed are stay very much. Will be returning.
Amazing location! Very charming cottages right on the river next to Texas Tube rentals. We loved everything about this stay! And every morning and evening we were greeted by a family of deer. It was awesome! We will be back!
Second time staying here with family (6 adults, 4 kids). We get two places (403c and b) with a connecting door, so we have more than enough space to spread out. Great location. Right on water and next door to Texas tubes. Deer visit daily. Rooms have soap, shampoo, etc. Charcoal on the grill outside. Kitchen decently equipped. Small but nice porches. You can walk right down to the water and get in. Some tubes are there if you want to dip in front of the house.
