- Reviews:This was recommended to me so I went for a birthday dinner. Have to say I was highly disappointed. Went to dinner here last Saturday, got sat right away because we had reservations for a birthday dinner. Waited 10 minutes for the waiter to ask for our drinks. Got some appetizers that were extremely burnt on the bottom. The duck was extremely under cooked. Server was extremely busy, did not even acknowledge that we were celebrating, had better service at red robin who at least sings you happy birthday. The atmosphere was okay, a bit cramped. Overall, the food and service were not good at all. They maybe on their off that day, but man they were really off.By David Cartagenas (a year ago)Excellent food. This is easily one of the finest meals I have had ever. The Duck n Duck was amazing. The heirloom tomato salad was amazing. The Old Fashioned and Long Island Iced Tea were expertly made. Lastly, Dan’s Chocolate Bar. Get it, you’ll love it. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and premium. No corners seemed to be cut on prep or presentation. Just amazing. Shout out to our server, Samantha. She was so warm and pleasant. I had questions, she had answers. She kept our cups full and paced our meal very well. Owners, give her a raise. Thank you and we hope to be back next time we are in town.By ClockRocket (11 months ago)Great dining experience at Oakleys Bistro. Our server was amazing and very helpful with suggestions. We had the prime rib dumplings as starter and the trout for entrée. Both dishes were outstanding: well seasoned and cooked to perfection, can’t wait to be back.By Viv Braz (3 weeks ago)We had the tasting menu and it was, by far, the best food I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back and order from the menuBy Patricia Schnepf (in the last week)The food was fantastic. The duck was great and my wife said the risotto was the best she has ever had. We’ll definitely be back!By Jon Happe (3 months ago)

- Reviews:Everything about this restaurant in Zionsville was fantastic! The drinks, the bread, and the amazing French inspired food. However, once again, their customer service and attention to each person is amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and will be coming here time and time again. Also, the Brick Street Inn (where the restaurant is in) is awesome!By Wilson Reyes (a year ago)Delicious French fare set in a historic home in the heart of Zionsville. We ordered steak meals and they came with two sides ($28/$38). The French fries are a 10/10 and paired with the garlic aoli. The sauces are really good too! Every service member was so kind and thoughtful! Plan to spend a while at dinner for the meal as the food takes a bit longer than usual. There was beautiful live music on the patio when we dined on a Wednesday night.By Rachel Miller (8 months ago)Absolutely amazing! Steven, our waiter was so pleasant and had wonderful suggestions! We loved everything about our experience this evening…from the beautiful evening with outdoor seating, great attention from our waiter, the wine and our dinner selections. The chef deserves big praise for the flavors and perfection with what we ordered! Will definitely be going back.By Michelle Cramer (7 months ago)We enjoyed everything about the modernized French cuisine in this intimate & charming setting. Nothing was a miss but I still think about the spelt grain ‘risotto’ with mushrooms & baby bok choy, and the coquille (scallops) were easily in the top 3 scallop dishes I’ve had in Indianapolis this year.By Muhammad Khalifa (7 months ago)Went there for dinner and ate on the patio. Very nice restaurant ambience and good service except that it took 1.5hrs for our main course to arrive after ordering (we ordered everything at once). We did enjoy the the food (got a cheese board, the lemon drop drink, and the duck). Their mashed potatoes are so good!!!By Julia Lobo (2 weeks ago)

I had an excellent Brunch at Petite Chou— I’m so glad i decided to eat here. I was just driving through Indianapolis on my way to ATL, but stayed the night and wanted a good brunch. I saw Petite Chou mention on an article online and decided to give it try. The atmosphere inside was clean and moody— the soft lighting and wood tone gives it a very mellow vibe. The staff were very friendly and attentive!! I was seated in front of the kitchen window cut out and you can tell all the cooks work hard and create a lot of food from scratch. My meal was the Belgian Waffles and The French Onion Grilled Cheese. I cannot express how delicious everything was. First the duck fat fries are delectable, so yummy and the sauce is so flavourful. The French Onion Grilled cheese was also great. The caramelized onions were well done and the blend of cheese was so good! The sourdough bread was crunchy and BIG!! And the waffles were just sooo fantastic. The cinnamon butter paired with the sugar pearls so well!! I can only speak praises about Petite Chou— if you are thinking about going to brunch come here !!
side note: if you need a straw bring your own they don’t have any there ????????
We got seated immediately. Right after for others the wait changed to 30-40 min so we definitely lucked out. We went close to 11am. I had the Liege waffles and my husband has the pain perdu (french toast). We also had a side of the bacon and pommes frites. I was pretty happy that they serve lattes and have milk subtitues. I had the oatmilk latte . Service was good until thr very end when it felt like they forgot about us and took forever to bring us the check.
Overall I enjoyed myself and the food. I would definitely go back. I would say the food is a lite bit better than average. A bit pricey but not too expensive
Rachel and the staff were all great and attentive. The atmosphere is one of class and fancy dining. I am so glad we got to sit outside on such a wonderful evening. The wine was half off for a bottle on Wednesday and it was a wonderful selection. I enjoyed my mussels. My friends enjoyed their burgers. The sweet greens salad was simple and tasty. I will definitely be back to try brunch!
Tried this place for the first time today. I must say my first thought was this place is a bit pretentious. However, to my great delight, the food service and the atmosphere was wonderful and on point and not at all pretentious. The place has a dark and well appointed dining room. Outside seating is also available year round. The wife had the club sandwich and I had the everyone’s favorite omelette and we shared some Parmesan truffle fries. The fries are made in duck fat, very very tasty. Parking here is very limited and tight. Place gets busy quickly, parking could be an issue. It would be worth your trouble so don’t give up. Loved this place, and will absolutely return with great delight.
I’ve been to Petite Chou several times, but had my first brunch there this Saturday. Service was excellent and the decor is lovely as always. The outer seating areas are well heated.
Overall the food was good, including the lavender champagne cocktail I ordered. Wished I could try every one as they all looked delicious.
I was disappointed, however, by the savory crepe I ordered. (The one with mushrooms.) I’ve had lots of crepes including in France, and this was the oiliest, hardest version of a crepe I’ve ever had. Not moist and soft like crepes should be. I also hoped the server might ask how everything was so I could offer some friendly feedback, but he never did (hence the Google review).
I hope they might read this and improve their crepe game, because everything else is on point and I’d love to go back for brunch again and hopefully have some better crepes!
My daughter ordered the waffles and they were good. Bacon was a bit too cooked for our taste.
