What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. My concern is about one of their employees (Indian guy). It happened early this morning today, we are done buying out stuffs and about to leave. Our car was parked beside his car (sedan) and he did not notice that we are already inside our car. He opened his door and INTENTIONALLY slammed strongly to our car, leaving a scratch and a clear dent. I can say it’s intentional since he didn’t even look into our car considering the loud banging sound it created. He was surprised when i rolled down the window and told him what he just did. He said sorry but he needs to face the consequences of his wrongdoing. It’s very alarming as it appears to me that it has been his usual doing to slam his door to every customer’s car that will park beside his car. Disgusting behaviour of a Walmart’s employee in Bayfield.

  2. This place has been going downhill for the past few years now. My main complaint is the lack of stock on the shelves. Just in the past few days I’ve gone a couple of times looking for items advertised in their flyer on sale and they are not in stock. These being the greenhouse grown strawberries and the Sponge Towels paper towels, for example. Many times I have foregone buying items at other stores to get them here only to be disappointed they don’t have them. However, when I go to the South End store they have plenty of stock and well organized. I go here because it’s convenient to my home however and I can’t always make it down to the South End store. So it’s not a system problem but a store problem. I have been shopping at this location ever since they opened so for 15+ years and go there twice a week, but lately it’s always been disappointing. My friends and relatives say the same thing, many things are never stocked on the shelves and there are many bare shelves.

Also asking a store associate for help is a disaster, they are very hard to find on the floor and when you do ask it’s like you’re imposing on their time, they are not happy to help with a friendly smile. It makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing them much of the time.

I am shopping here less than I used to as well ever since Walmart stopped price matching, and go to FreshCo instead, but that’s another issue not the store’s fault.

One thing I do like about the store is their returns desk, the associates there are usually pretty friendly and make returns easy and no-hassle.

Also they often have panhandlers at the entrance or in the parking lots which make people feel uneasy and they don’t do much about it. Just drags the whole shopping experience down. Thumbs down!

  3. I was at a self check out when I realized I needed a bag. I asked the cashier for a bag and she told me to wait. I stood around for a minute and then went back to my checkout. I paid for everything and started packing my own bag. The cashier then came over and told me I would have to pay 0.35$ for a bag. I told her I had already cashed out, and she told me it was too bad. No wonder Walmart makes 145 billion dollars in profit a year.

  4. Honestly never deal with any of the employees when I shop here, just get my stuff and go, but today I called about an item inquiry and honestly not impressed with how it was handled. I usually wouldn’t complain either, but I was firstly talked over by the first customer service rep I spoke to.. so that wasn’t impressive. Secondly, the other customer service rep I was handed off to, pretty sure she left me on the phone and left the phone for almost 10 minutes and I was just hearing people and kids in the background; whilst having the person doing my shopping looking around and standing and waiting for no one to come to the aisle that was “supposed to be checked” for this duration of time. Pls improve your service!

  5. Bought a tv, 70 inch, quite heavy and too big for a shopping cart. My husband and i ended up carrying it by ourselves up to the front of the store, from the very back, without a flat cart because we waited 30 mins for a store carry out and the electronic girls kept paging for some help and no one came 🙃 there was anither customer waiting before we got there too. Legend has it, hes still waiting for customer service at this location

This large store has a lower which is accessible through an escalator. Clothings are on the main floor, while drinks, stationary, cosmetics, gifts, etc are on the lower floor. The staff here are polite.

Due to its proximity to my work place, it’s my go-to store for all purchases, well stocked and staff is always courteous. Recently, I had an issue which needed manager’s intervention. Not only was she approachable but she made swift action to attend my concern and followed up with me. Excellent service, keep it up!

Itd be good to open your doors at 7am instead of employees sitting on their phones until 7:10am. It’d would also be nice for customer service employees to take a customers concerns serious isn’t of dismissing them. I was in a rush to get something this morning. Be a respectable business, do better.

The cashier was shocked that I wanted him to help me out my groceries into the bags. Then just started throwing them. Wasn’t even able to simply put heavy things at the bottom. He was so entitled. Like it’s your job to help me check out, why else would I come to checkout. I could somewhere else easily. Just piling things up. There’s clearly no training on customer experience. Just throw things if the customer asks for help so there food is ruined and they don’t ask for help again. Weaponized incompetence.

Not enough cash registers open. Not sure why you put in self checkout.. we do the cash out and you still do not have them open? Lined up all the way down the store. With 1 cashier and 4 self checkouts. Makes zero sense.

Terrible. You go to the self check out and they don’t have enough booths open for some reason. What is the point of having self checkout if you need wait in line? You might as well go to the cashier if you are going to wait. Someone employees are nice but others have bad attitude. Poor management.

Worst ever! the most unorganized walmart & the staff is SO rude. there was only 1 cashier lane open (even though it was a Saturday mid day & extremely busy) so I went to self check out, I scanned all my groceries & then at the end of the order I used the hand held scanner to scan the 2 cases of water I had stacked in my cart (I pulled the scanner trigger 2 times on the top case so I didn’t have to lift it for the bottom case) & as we were leaving this very loud & rude employe ran over & said I only scanned 1 case of water & shows me a print out from my order & I said well I pulled the trigger twice &heard it beep both times! He said I gad to go back & pay for the item….as I’m looking at my bill trying to figure it out another employee comes over saying the same thing…in front of everyone! it was so embarrassing! I said why would I scan over $100 worth of groceries to take a $2 case of water & pay for one but not the other case?! i told them maybe they better open more lanes if they have to double check everyone’s order & chased people down for $2! it was handled very unprofessionally & made me feel so embarrassed. I will not be back to this location again

They are discriminatory towards people and self check out is a joke… very very poor management. I know someone who works there and she get’s bullied by staff too… Terrible place. Shut this store down…. It’s awful. They falsely accuse you of stuff too…

Overall an easy experience where I find all my needs for aging parents at a considerably lower cost. Staff at automatic checkout are helpful and in good spirits. Pleasantly surprised to discover an ever increasing number of organic foods I typically pick up at Whole Foods at more competitively lower prices. Unexpected and glad to see this new trend in Walmart offering healthier food options at much lower prices. Posted some photos for ease of reference. Life is Good! 🙂
