What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Do yourself a favour and go shopping somewhere else- anywhere else! Walmart has become a cesspool of incompetence and careless employees. There is a completely lack of accountability when you attempt to find someone to help you, or make something right. When I first started picking up online orders here, it was great, convenient and easy to use. The quality was always consistent. The last handful of months worth of orders have demonstrated a lack of quality control that is deplorable. Expired dairy, rotten produce, multiple substitutions with every order. And don’t bother attempting to use the chat to find someone that cares. They’ll just tell you that they’ll “pass along your message”. Whatever that even means!
Don’t bother with Walmart anymore. You can get the same low prices at Loblaws stores, and they’ll even price match! Or Save On Foods will also price match. Not worth it, shop at a Canadian retailer where there is marginally better customer service.

  2. I bought a baby monitor for my baby from here. Naturally, it had the spider wire around it. I asked the lady overseeing the self checkouts if she could take off the security wire. She said I would have to go up to customer service to get it taken off. Well there was a line up there, and I had a baby with me. I don’t have time to wait for that. Is it so hard to give a magnet to the people working the self checkouts? It is so inconvenient to first of all have to bag my own stuff. But then to have to wait in line AGAIN to get something removed because only customer service can do it? What a waste of time honestly.

  3. The store has almost everything you need for your household starting from groceries, clothing, cosmetics, toiletries, medicine, sports goods, books, bbq grills, outdoor furniture to baby items, electronics etc. You can get Indian grocery on good price including basmati rice, Aata, snacks, sweets etc. The store is jam packed with stuff throughout the year and it gets harder to walk around with a big shopping cart. There is a lot of parking space so you won’t have any issues finding a slot. Must visit if you’re in Saskatoon area

  4. This Walmart is the perfect example of how failed Canada has become as a nation. No respect, zero accountability, little to no work ethic and 95% are immigrants. I’ve travelled the world and I am by no means racist but after living in Canada all my life and moving to multiple provinces there is an obvious relation between higher immigrant workers and lower care of human decency. Almost every grocery store now is trash. Dates not checked for months, rotting produce, frozen/hot food sitting on shelves, etc etc. As a society Canada has lost its integrity, what a failure the population, government and all care for others is now.

  5. I stopped by Walmart today to purchase a hose. On my way in I noticed the person who stands near the entrance and checks receipts was helping people find what they were looking for. On my way out she checked my receipt and was one of the nicest people I have ever interacted with at a store. I believe her name is Hellen. Please give this woman a raise, she is amazing. I also noticed her interacting with a few other costumers and they all left with a smile on their face.

Absolutely disgraceful. What do you pay your staff to do? 3 stood chatting and watching me as a struggled through the self serve with a cart full of 6 boxes of diapers. My picture is taken the whole time and then you have somebody asking to see my receipt!!!!! This is not acceptable. This is how you treat your customers. Goodbye Walmart I will not be back.

One of the better WalMarts. Definitely the best in Saskatoon. The shelves are usually stocked well unlike the other locations. Staff are friendly. The main reason I never shop here is the lack of checkout staff. Two aisles out of twenty open and long lineups. Otherwise prices are fair but never the cheapest. It is what it is. It’s WalMart.

Super bad service. I ordered a pick up and been asked to waited in my car for 1.5 hours during winter time. Checked with their staffs twice and both tell me ‘We are picking things for you now.’, but ended up with 1.5 hr. After that experience, I wrote a complaint letter to their customer service department but no replies. Also their cashiers are very annoying by asking you to get a credit card from them constantly. To sum up, good price, bad service.

Great store, however I’d like to see more support with our indigenous community and raising awareness to past and current on going issues.i took it upon myself to create some awareness.

A novel concept: employees that can be found, and know where products are in the store. A second novel concept: paid employees that run the tills. A third: accurate pricing. Really tired of not being able to find things, and when I do find them I can’t see how much it is. The price scanners have been removed, and you could wander for hours before finding someone who works there. Walmart as a corporation is utter garbage.

This place went to self check out which I understand but there is never any tills open or from what I can tell working . I moved to the area in august and the amount of times I’ve held my groceries and waited over 15 mins to get to a till. Sometime the head cashiers are nice but I’ve had a decrease in positive experiences. I bought face cleaner and paid for it at one of the functioning non self check outs with a cashier and they kept my face cleaner when handing everything back. When I went back in the customer service rep refused to refund me and the manager took over 20 mins to come see me and refused to do anything. Hire someone who knows how to keep staff and who is able to problem shoot the self checkout cause when there is only 8 of them out of 20 working that’s a huge problem .

Was going through the self serve check out, alarm started to ring, staff pulled me in and searched my whole trolly, was made to feel like a thief, everyone was watching me, said it was the meat I bought, this happens all the time, did not apologize, she was a real nasty woman this happened around Christmas, I ain’t been back since. when it first opened it was my favorite store. Will not recommend them to anyone.
