3 months agoI was sold on these modeling and acting classes that my teenage son was interested in because they said that they help with confidence. He’s most of the way through classes and has become extremely self-critical and full of anxiety.They don’t do refunds so I wanted him to at least see it through to the end because I think there is value in that life lesson. When I told them about his anxiety today and asked if he could pass on some of the activities today since he’s not feeling well they told me he can just quit and not come anymore.
SWMT has taught opposite values and lessons from what I would like my son to learn. If you pay them, you got scammed.
Update: I decided to increase my review from 1 star to 3 stars. I appreciate that the director called me and we discussed my concerns with my son present. I thought he did well at the runway graduation. I told him if he decided he doesn’t like modeling he certainly doesn’t have to sign with them, but he wanted to. I went over the contract with him and signed today. I still think SWMT has some room for improvement in training male models, even having a male model come by and share their experience I think would’ve been helpful. Since graduating the SWMT training my son looked up some information on male modeling online and I think gained some confidence.
a year agoI was with SWMT for years- I still think about these ladies all the time.When I was fifteen, I wanted to sign with an agency and wasn’t sure where to start- meeting Angela Black was a wake up call for me that my dreams can be a reality given the correct training and persistence. I fell into hardships with my acting passion, those hardships never go away really. Despite that, I saw that through my time with Angela Black as an agent and working with others (such as training with Casting DIRECTOR Patrick Baca- all thanks to SWMT by the way..) I found a little part of myself again.
I have doubted things in the past, all of those in which I realize was foolish.. this is a tough industry. You won’t make it if you don’t have dedication and perseverance, all of which Angela and the others apart of this place taught me how to do. They saw me in my doubts, they forgave me through hard times, they helped pick me up when I wanted to start again.
I’ll be heading back to Los Angeles in 6 months to continue this passion, it’s been over 10+ years and it still is in my heart. These ladies at this agency help you realize that, especially as time goes on. If you’re concerned whether or not your daughter/son/child should be here, have no more doubt. This is a place where you can succeed.

a year agoI am happy to write this because I am blown away at the kindness and professionalism of Kiana , director , and the personal connection and great teaching of Faith. My student has different needs and I started the training to help her over some rough mental obstacles, they have been wonderful helping her. When things became overwhelming they help accommodate changes needed to keep her successful .Thank you Ladies !a year agoSWMT has been amazing giving my daughter the confidence and skills she needed to reach her dream of signing with Wilhelmina NY and Miami. Angela is always there for questions and support.a year agoMy college age daughter signed up with the intent to take classes. We were both told that we were able to cancel if it didn’t work out. She never ended up driving the 2 hours to any of the classes & called to cancel. The corporate office was extremely rude to her stating that she signed a contract & was required to pay the full tuition for NO services rendered. I NEVER signed a contract but agreed verbally to pay the initial deposit. My credit card has been charged consistently from April until September when I finally noticed they were continuing to charge me for my adult daughters contract. When I called to negotiate seeing as how she NEVER once received a service they refused to negotiate. Pretty sure after making her cry she won’t be wanting to utilize this service in the future, just a guess. Any business should be willing to negotiate under these circumstances. This shows very low business ethics in my opinion. My credit card charges are being disputed. Don’t get yourself into the same situation by using this agency previously knows as Barbizon. I wonder why they changed the business name…bad reviews perhaps? My attorney has been notified as I should not be responsible for someone else’s signed contract.

a month agoMy daughter signed with these people probably about a couple years ago.I paid 1,200.00 dollars for hair makeup and pictures This company never sent her the pictures to my daughter. I had to call them and complain for her to get her pictures. She has gone up there for training. She has got up there for jobs and she has tried really hard. No one has ever really contacted her to support My daughter . She took updated pictures this company did not approved them , And now they send a current email and saying we’re gonna let you out of your contract because you haven’t even participated no! Wilhelmina You have not worked with my daughter or even halfway and my daughter has tried. But at the same time it’s really good that you’ll letting her out of her contract because now she won’t be held back she can but her full effort into her modeling career. This modeling company 0 for my daughter. Waste of time and money good riddance!!3 weeks agoI’ve been signed with Wilhelmina Denver since September of 2023 and I’ve already had some INCREDIBLE auditions and booked a hair campaign. Everyone in this office is INCREDIBLE- they work really hard and I’m so grateful to them. Couldn’t recommend Wilhelmina Denver more.8 months agoI hired Wilhelmina Denver for a promotion shoot for my book, Dark Moon Shallow Sea. We worked with Dominic Roma, Jacob Mills, and Jake Nicholson. All of the guys were incredibly professional and easy to work with. They showed up on time, actively engaged with the shoot, asking about their characters and helping the photographer with posing and working with props and costume. I’ll easily hire Wilhelmina Denver again and work with the models anytime. Cassie Keefe at the office was fantastic at coordinating everything and getting the contract in order.9 months agoThis modeling agency has been managing my daughter’s career since she was 3 years old. We are very selective on what auditions we will let her apply for but Willamina has given us more than enough options when it comes to finding modeling work for our daughter it is now been over 10 years with the company and we have yet to do any work but that is because we’re very particular on what we want our daughter to do. Hopefully in the future we will find something that fits in to what we wish our daughter to be involved in. But as said Wilma is giving us numerous options before auditions. This is a place you feel like you might want to use for a mile in career they’re very professional and do their best to fit each client into situations which will further their career.8 months agoBeen signed with Wilhelmina Denver for over 6 years (started at age 17). They’ve brought me amazing opportunities working for national brands, traveling, and meeting amazing creatives in and out of Denver. Brooke’s reach in the industry is massive, and every agent and staff member is experienced and highly professional. I’m so thankful for this team; I wouldn’t be where I am as a model without them!
