- Reviews:We always love pet food center. Their rewards program is so good. I had an issue with a dog food I bought and I called and the young lady talked to me about what my concern was, welcomed me in the next day, credited me my open bag, allowed me to return my unopened bag, and walked me through options for choosing a new food. Excellent service. Their groomer is phenomenal with our dog as well!By Samantha Eberhart (a month ago)Love the pet self wash! It works great for my dog who has hip and issue and can’t really get in the tub at home. I have also take fosters there. Also love the pet products we shop there often for chews, treats, collars and leashes 🙂 We have been happy with the professional grooming services previously used there as well.By Karyn Ward (6 months ago)We had our son’s 9th birthday party here and the kids had a blast! In addition to providing space for pizza and cake, the staff let my son pick the animals that he and his friends could pet and interact with. Paula and the girls were very knowledgeable about the animals and Paula even brought in her own tortoises for the kids to check out. Really unique experience and well worth the money in my opinion!By Clint Weisgerber (a year ago)Love to get dog toys and treats here. Always seems to be a good deal going on. The house cats are fun to try to spot and say hello to when you get a chance as well.By Vanessa VanMatre (a month ago)Would give less than 1 star but it won’t let me. Very disrespectful and unpatriotic to 1 day give veterans a discount on dog/cat food, the things bought most frequently, then taking that benefit away with no heads up, no notification or anything! We buy 50 lbs of food every 2 weeks. Will never set foot in either store again!By Michael Pangrac (a month ago)

- Reviews:We have had the best experience with Pet Food Center West lately. We recently added some new pets to our home and the staff was very helpful in our transition. They were extremely knowledgeable about hamsters and gave us all the info we needed to make them have the happiest life possible. Our girl Reggie wants for nothing thanks to the staff at PFCW. They have also recently helped us with our fish tank problems. We have had an influx of death amongst our poor fish and we immediately sought out help. The staff tested our water, gave suggestions on tank improvement conditions, and even replaced the fish we had lost. Overall it has been a wonderful experience and we will continue to visit for our pet needs!By Brittany McCormick (2 months ago)I use come here all the time for my snake food I move away awesome place for sure! The lady I deal with her name was Vicky I don’t know she still work there if she do tell her I Said hi please thank you for God bless you!By Andrew M Leonard (a week ago)Some people here are not the best at working in a pet store. If you don’t want to chase fish around for a customer then don’t work here. Also please wear deodorant! I ask for 8 guppies which the tank had maybe 20 the employee was huffing and puffing trying to catch these guppies ended up only catching like 3 and told me they couldn’t get any more. So I told the employee that’s ok never mind. I understand if the employee was not supposed to be doing the fish but they should be trained in every area then or don’t ask me if I need help with the fish. As I was leaving the employee was like I wonder how I get these back into the tank. It took us no less than 10 minutes to get 3 guppies and by the time the employee was done the little room smelt so bad of body odor. Employees should be trained and advise of how they should dress, smell, and look presentable in any store/business they work in.By TONI M. Reese (3 months ago)I had an amazing experience at this location with Tessa. I go here almost everyday with my service dog in training. Today I wasn’t feeling the best so I sat down away from people and soon had an episode. Half way through I opened my eyes and noticed Tessa sitting with me (which is what handlers prefer our dogs are trained to know what to do) she redirected my service dog when she got distracted by another dog and kept her close when she got up (she is still in training so mistakes happen Tessa handled this wonderfully) when I came to I thank her and she ask if I was okay and needed water. She then ran across the street to get me water. She has been the absolute best experience I can’t thank her enough! This store in general is absolutely amazing with us always so respectful!By Jay Roy (2 months ago)I would like to edit my review from 3 to 4 stars. I appreciate the owner reaching out to me with a discount offer, acknowledging and correcting the mistake made. That’s a class act in my book. Pricey! Sign up promoting 30% off dog beds but told sale is over at check-out. A basic dog brush was $27!! Won’t be back!By Jennilyn Brown (4 months ago)

My husband & I went to adopt a kitty and the customer service was so awesome and it helped our adoption go by smooth. We adopted Elmo…
Better make sure they have enough people to cover over there. Talked to someone on the phone at 435 pm and asked if they do walk ins for nail trimming. The reply is yes if you can get him here before 5. I zoomed in between rush hour traffic to get him there just under 455. Was told they couldn’t get him bc they had people go home early. Very irritated about this.
Each time we go to PetSmart we are greeted at the door with a warm hello. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about all of the animals in their care. We always have a pleasant experience because we are confident that we are getting all the correct information and help we need to make our pets thrive. If one employee doesn’t know the answer to your question, they find someone who does! They have the biggest selection of pet items in Evansville, which makes it a one shop stop kind of experience. You could say it’s the Walmart of pet care. ???? We have recently been experiencing hardship with our fish tank and the staff had many suggestions for what we could do to stop the death toll from rising. They explained in great detail what we could use to keep our water condition controlled as well as plant life that would improve the quality of life for our fish. Though the prices of items are a little pricey, I feel the quality and value is worth it. We’ve had an overall great experience so far and plan to make more visits in the future.
We took our full blooded cocker spaniel in for grooming. Apollo is registered with AKC, and we know his bloodline. Despite this, the groomer claimed that he is too big to be a cocker spaniel and said they would charge more next time. I guess the groomer knows more than our vet and AKC. There will not be a next time.
