- Reviews:Recently we had to put to rest our 13-year-old German Shepperd. When the time came, we checked the Humane Society’s web site, and found Champ, a 2-year-old Shepperd mix, looking for some place to call home. We filled out the application online, and soon we had our new furbaby. Champ is a great dog. Everyone at the shelter was great. They helped us get acquainted with Champ at the first meeting, and they followed up on his progress getting settled into his new surroundings. Adopting an animal looking for a home is a good feeling, and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a true friend. The folks are so kind and helpful with guiding you to just the right fit for your new pet hopes! Here is “Buddy”, one week home! He is a sweet talkative stinker who also loves to snuggle, and he fit right in! My 8 year old daughter thought it was a cool experience as well as she wasn’t with our 1st adoption. Journey has fit right in with out family! ????By Lacey Patterson (5 months ago)I recently adopted a bonded pair of cats as well as a dog back in 2016. Both experiences were so good. I was unaware that vets gave a free checkup within a week of adoption, but they gave all that information verbally and in a packet to take home. The adoption fee is beyond reasonable when they are fixed if they aren’t already as well as micropchipped! Saving that expense allows you to buy so many extra things for your new furbaby! They also followup after adopting to make sure it was a good fit.By Chrissy Bickford (3 months ago)We couldn’t have been more pleased with the whole adoption process! We had the opportunity to visit with the veterinarian in regards to Thumper’s kennel cough, which, by the way, has been totally under control with the medication they provided. Also, when we were running late for our meet-and-greet with our golden retriever, Bailey girl, due to the weather, they were all so accommodating and made us feel so welcomed. When I asked around town on who I should trust for proper pet care distributor everyone said , “Your Pet shop” , on 41 st, now they are called “Roxi and Co”. I have been with them since my day one. I have 3 German Shepherds and Roxi and Co. has taken care of all their needs. They treat you like family when you come in. The service is top notch and welcoming. I go out of my way as I live on the other side of town just so I can shop here. I would rather buy my dog food (which my German shepherd goes through quickly) through this place than Chewy. Staff is friendly and I ADORE the dogs who are there to greet you. Such sweeties. My fiance likes to come with me to “help” me shop but really he’s just there for the dogs! Had lots of fun. We bought some cat toys and got to see the guinea pigs and hamsters!!
Prices have really gotten high here for dog treats. You can easily go to WalMart and buy the same treats for less. They do have a great selection for food, and that seems in line with most other stores prices.
I love the treats buffet. So many kinds and you don’t have to buy a big bag to see if your baby likes it or not. Their people are very pleasant.
I did my dog training with Quincy, she was wonderful, so patient and took extra time with whomever needed it, she had answer’s to all questions, a real pleasure to work with, I can now take my Shepard on walks, she actually listens to me. Thank you so much.
