I had the avocado sushi, miso soup, beef udon soup, and ice tea. The beef udon was my favorite.By Abigail Slotsky (2 months ago)Takara Sushi is one of the better AYCE sushi in the area, it’s definitely worth the drive if you’re interested in stuffing yourself and trying a bunch of different things. Their menu offers the typical ACYE sushi fare, including sashimi, hand rolls, tempura items and noodle dishes. The menu differs in that Takara offers “kitchen specials” not seen at other similar restaurants, these specials include: Salt and Pepper Shrimp, BBQ short ribs, General Tso’s chicken to name a few. Pro-tip: the short rib order is one small piece so order a few. The items ordered were fair, typically at an AYCE sushi spot the flavors then to be the same amongst the rolls but this was not the case, each roll had their own unique flavors. Service was a bit slow from the kitchen. We ordered wings and thought they had been forgotten. The food is always cooked to perfection and the restaurant is CLEAN! Of the 50+ times I’ve eaten here, I’ve never had a single unpleasant experience with the staff who are always cheerful and professional. I’m a rather hefty guy, and they are always considerate of where I’m seated and even move the table to help me fit without me having to ask. The staff is usually amazing at making sure we have what we want for food. The only thing that I was disappointed in would probably be the mussels. The fried cream cheese wontons couldn’t have been better. Pot stickers usually aren’t my favorite but they’re great here. The service was prompt and on a Friday night we didn’t wait more than 10 minutes between ordering and being served. Will definitely be a regular spot for us from now on. Take out time is also fairly quick. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 starts is their food use to be more unique and absolutely amazing a number of years age but now they’ve changed the menu and it’s more standard/the exact same as everywhere else. Nice variety on the menu and all very well prepared. I enjoyed the tofu with pickled peppers and the pea tips. My date loved the sizzling beef. Recommend it for a date night since it is so close to the movie theater. The only downside is that the booth seating is about 3 inches too low to be comfortable height for eating. The server helped me order a gluten free meal, chicken & shrimp hibachi. They were careful to give me gluten free soup and salad along with the meal. I am very sensitive and did not get sick. Highly recommended if you have a gluten allergy.
This place is much improved comparing to 2 years ago. I had a great experience dining in tonight. All the food was great! Service was excellent!
It’s so easy to make a reservation through Google assistant and if you need to change anything they answer right away. Fun cooks and always amazing food.
Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Ordered $200 worth of food and the staff mixed up the order. The order from the food delivered had a $50 difference. Management straight up refused to compensate the difference and demanded that we pay for an order that we did not ask for. Their reasoning was because they served it and we ate it and liked it. Will never be back. Shame because the server was wonderful and food was delicious.
Excellent time at Kobe. We did not sit at the hibachi tables, but they were quite entertaining from a distance.
We had filet mignon and shrimp hibachi and two rolls and it was delicious. Rolls are good sizes and there are so many good options.
Drinks were good and service was good. We will certainly come back.
