- Reviews:Excellent service and they take good care of the animals. Staff and volunteers are helpful and care about the animals. It’s a no-kill shelter and and deserves to be supported in its efforts. The state of California is one of the worst statistically for killing animals who could be placed in another home. It’s nice to be able to support an adoption center that has found ways, often creative and fun, to support its work and service.By Kerry Smith (5 months ago)Took Gizmo to get adopted paid 50$ I didn’t have the full relinquishment fee staff was kind enough to understand still kept my appointment. He passed the two assessments tests and was accepted in to their facility. 4 days later he got adopted this is a great place to take your beloved pets if you ever find yourself in a difficult situation. This is a No kill help center.By Adriana Alcantar (3 months ago)I can’t say enough good things about Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center. I am very supportive of the type of work they do, and appreciate their service very much. I had a litter of kittens and could not find homes for them. As soon as they were ready, they were able to be brought in and all 4 were adopted out within two weeks. I had another kitten that was given to me and I could not keep it. I was able to take it to Mary S. Roberts, where it was adopted out within a week. I can only say that if you spend time with the sweet souls that you need to find homes for, and socialize them well and care for them, that will shine through and they will be adopted quickly. I hope everyone decides to take a chance on the beautiful creatures that they shelter and try to find homes for. This is the best way to find an amazing companion.By Lori Lee (2 months ago)We love it here! What a pleasant adoption center! The staff is so sweet and caring and the center is pristine! They have wonderful dogs & cats! They truly take care of every pet that arrives at the center. They spend quality time with each pet, perform assessments, behavior training, etc. They will go out of their way to find the perfect pet for you and your fur family!By Bath N’ Buns (a week ago)I happened to come across this center when browsing on-line. Glad I went in as there was a good selection of adoptable animals and they seem to take amazing care of them. I adopted my kitty and he is an amazing addition to the family. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.By Shane Burgos-Adair (a month ago)

- Reviews:I adopted my kitten “Poppy” from here in September. I have since named her Mochi. They have a very kind and helpful staff. I told them that I had a cat that was two years old and a small dog that is 4 years old and needed to make sure that the cat I was getting was comfortable with them both. The worker was able to point out some cats that she thought would be comfortable with other pets. I decided to get Poppy and I am so glad. She is a great fit for our family and we all love her especially her brothers.By Natalie Valladares (5 months ago)I’ve loved all my dogs but Duke was mine / the best dog I ever had. I got him at Inland Valley Humane Society back in 2011. I was looking for our lost family dog, we checked IVHS a few times to see if he was brought in and Duke was part of a litter at the time. After a few weeks of no luck, I chose Duke. He was good luck! As we were walking out, guess who was walking in. Lady handed my dog Buddy right back over. Best day, kiss your dogs for me, I miss them both.By Jennifer Ortiz (3 months ago)Terrible. This bird is stuck and unable to free itself from something attached to this roof at 618 Eucalyptus Ave. Ontario. Then the emergency officer puts me on hold to get me off the phone. Good job people. Hours later the bird still hangs from a clear line dead. Disappointed completely ar the lack of concern or compassion from these people.By Wendy Roldan (2 months ago)The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We went on a Wednesday and found a dog. The process to get on the wait list is like getting a concert ticket. However, it was very helpful. We were third in line and We were able to adopt our dog that Saturday. The process of adoption is very easy. I highly suggest that you fill out the application at home. It helps it go by so much quicker. We were in and out of there in about 35 minutes with our new dogBy Kurt Smith (2 months ago)IVHS is our local animal shelter. They have a new vet clinic building and everything is always clean. We adopted all 3 of our pets from here. They have a great foster program from bottle-fed babies up to elderly pets & can use your help–please volunteer. Their adoption program & system is excellent and handled online with a digital wait-list that texts you when it’s your turn to come in, so no wasted time or crowded waiting around at the shelter to adopt. You can even foster-adopt, which allows you to take in an adoptable animal to see how it fits in with your home, children, and other pets before fully adopting. The workers & volunteers really care deeply and it shows when you’re there. IVHS is also your place to get your dog & cat licenses and low-cost vet care and vaccines. They do so much to help all God’s creatures! Please consider adopting your new pet friend from IVHS–there are sweet, adorable, furry friends just waiting for your love!By Charlene Haney (4 months ago)

I found the syringes needed for nursing small animals which I did not find at the other big pet supply store the day before. Their merchandise is well stocked and looking really cute in some displays with generic, faceless, colorless dogs. They have a good selection of flotation vests for dogs and a good selection of small animal cages. The cashier was cheerful and polite.
Curbside pick up was definitely a great experience for me the man who delivered my items was very helpful on other questions I had about my dogs health . He gave direct answers and showed interest on my concerns about my dogs health . It takes a few seconds of the employees to help someone with a sick dog feel a little bit better and feel like someone is actually trying to help . Most people give short answers and direct you to the vet right away not understanding it’s not from one day to another to get a vet appointment so advice on medication that can possibly work is always appreciated from a worried pup parent
They didn’t have a big selection of puppies clothes, but customer service is great!!!
Went a few minutes early & was told I would need to come back when my groomer came back. This lady smirked at me! I was really upset but waited for the groomers to show up. When they did I told them what happened & they refused to groom my dogs due to bad breath. Will never go back again I’ve been going there for 15 years! The only reason I left a 1 was a floor girl was very sweet, respectful & kind. She appeared to be new & not calloused by the other people working there.
This is the first petco I have seen where the reptiles were actually kept decently, and they had such a wide variety compared to anything I’ve ever seen at another big chain pet store. They had Savannah monitor babies, Blue Tongue skink, and some more non typical for chain pet store lizards. Of course, there were the beardies, the Leo’s, the cresties. They weren’t just kept on that ugly green carpet stuff either. It was real soil, real sand/dirt, and aspen. They all looked healthy also. The fish displays were also very nice, and they had a decent variety that I’m not used to seeing. I definitely would consider them if you can’t make it to a reptile or exotic pets only store. We only went for one thing, but the store was neat, clean, and the staff was friendly. Photos were bc we are thinking of getting that setup for shrimp.
