- Reviews:I was recently gifted a 7 month old cat. She had been an inside/outside cat. Thank goodness for their spay/neuter lower cost programs!! It was a bit of a drive for me, but well worth it!! They are all very kind and professional people. They also carried my kitten and her carrier out to the car for me since I had no one to help. ???????????? Please check out their website. I contacted them by email and was amazed at how quickly they responded. (Of course, it may have been a slow time, but be assured they do respond) Blanca, Luna, and I thank you!! ????????????♀️By Casha M (4 months ago)We took are little one Biscuit. Very friendly staff. Clinics Hours 9am to 5pmBy Lice’s Doomsday Lice Treatment & Removal (5 months ago)I don’t know why this crossed my mind now, but here goes: I adopted my best friend with my family when I was only 11, here I am turning 20 soon and he is still the kindest, sweetest cat you will meet. I have made him my therapy animal. I remember how patient and kind the staff was when we were making our decision, and I am so glad we did. We are inseparable and I will definitely be adopting from here again ❤️By Morgan Drotar (2 weeks ago)I had a top.notch experience here in having my dog spayed. The whole.process and environment left me feeling assured my dog was receiving the best care…..combined with an unbelievably fair and affordable cost. Everyone was amazing and they were kind and patient with my dog…who can be difficult. Beyond pleased. Thank you to them and definitely utilize their clinic..it’s fantastic.By Michelle Nix (4 months ago)I cannot recommend their veterinary clinic enough. I took my dog for the first time and Dr. Nice was so patient, professional, kind, and gentle with my pup! I was able to get him examined as well as get medication for him that was so affordable. I had been putting off getting my dog anxiety meds due to the price his previous vet quoted us. If you need accessible medical care for your pets I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the Virginia Beach SPCA clinic! 🙂By Quinci Rockette (3 months ago)

- Reviews:We went in looking for a new fur baby and that is just what we found. The staff was happy to help in any way. Although you could tell the were busy and maybe a little understaffed in some sections they did not let that stop them from giving each person an experience. The wait time was a little long when I came to pick up my new cat, but they allowed me to play with him and get him ready to go home with me. They even gave us lots of coupons for care-a-lot, ziplock bag of dry food and 2 cans or wet food to get us started and must I say our new fur baby is great. It is always an awesome feeling to rescue a new pet.By Shaquina Banks (3 months ago)I have contacted im sure over 20 times with no response. It’s like they keep the phones unplugged. Many of the workers here are rude and come off as Karen’s, disregarding the younger employers.grumpy faces and never smiling. Anyway, that did not stop me and my daughter from adopting our first baby kitten originally named Tilly. We were told she had 30 days of pet insurance along with other things but never received the information and contacting by phone is nearly impossible. Not everyone resides in Norfolk, nor do we want to have to drive to the location because the establishment does not answer calls = not convenient at all. Had it be an actual emergency where information is needed these people are out of reach. Now I see why I was advised to not utilize this location. Still waiting for a response so if an administrator is reviewing emails, I hope you consider the reviews that have been left and also contact regarding our newly adopted kitten. Thanks.By ANGELIQUE JACKSON (a month ago)I love the work the Norfolk spca does for the community ! They are so wonderful and always so helpful! Thank you for all the great work y’all do and shout out to Crystal for being the best vet tech and for having the biggest heart when it comes to our animals ! Keep up the great work !By Hadley (2 months ago)There was a snarky young worker who proceeded to tell us all the red tape we had to go through to adopt a pet, which is crazy! It’s easier to get into grad school than it is to adopt from the Norfolk ASPCA.There was another woman who wanted the same dog I did, who lied , saying the dog had a surgery for a broken leg. The lady at the front desk was rude, barking, “don’t stick your fingers in the cages! ” as we were walking through the front door. it was just her tone, you know. It was an overall very, very bad experience. So much so, that I left without a dog. After all the red tape, it’s close to $250 to adopt a pet. The Virginia Beach ASPCA was much better. So if I do decide decide to adopt from them, hopefully it will be that location. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of one is because of how well the animals seemed to cared for.By Joy Williams (2 months ago)Took my pet Smokey. Ladies today were very professional. Vet came out to see my dog, took him back for shot & bloodwork. I was in and out quickly.By Lea (a week ago)

The workers are so knowledgeable about the dog food and supplements. They are always helpful when needed and super attentive. The bathing stations are always clean and the variety of natural dog treats and food is literally the best I’ve ever seen in a store. I rather come here any day than go to pet smart. Dave is the best and was so helpful today. I Will never go anywhere else because you can’t beat the customer service!
Every flavor of call of the wild dry dog food in stock. Perfect touch of extra and honestly tho, they have better prices compared to the competition. Is your dog bad and boujee? Will they go nuts for a frisbee? This might be your place
It’s a well rounded pet supply store. Plenty of choices although they were out of stock on what I needed, I’ll be back. Update: the next time I was able to get both two trays of canned food and the brush I particularly wanted. The small one is effective and gentler.
My Newfoundlands go to the doggie daycare & grooming regularly and both get SO excited everytime we arrive at Care-A-Lot. We appreciate you all treating them like your own.
This is our Boston Terrier’s favorite place on earth. He’s been attending doggie daycare at Care-A-Lot for years and still can’t hold back his excitement every time we pull into the parking lot. The staff are the kindest folks around and you just know your pup is well looked after by the joy they have when each dog walks through the door! Highly recommend!
