I researched facilities in my current location in Louisiana and in Lexington where I will be relocating. Highgrove has exceeded all benchmarks starting with my introductory phone inquiries. I have had access to multiple staff members and I have always had my calls, texts, and emails answered promptly and accurately. I was promised things that were “too good to be true”, and I can state unequivocally that all of the promises were kept. The initial tour was very well organized to allow the staff to get acquainted with me and my wife who has advanced Alzheimer’s. My wife is happier, more social and active with a better appetite than at home. She is calm, comfortable, and well-groomed. The entire staff is continuously interacting with the residents in a caring and professional manner. If you or a loved one need independent, assisted, or memory care you should come to Highgrove and experience the personal connection that permeates the entire organization.By Donald Bell (5 months ago)I highly recommend Memory Care at Highgrove @ Tates Creek. My mom has been a resident in Memory Care since December 2019, so almost 3 yrs. From the moment I made the decision to place my mom in Highgrove’s Memory Care, I haven’t looked back. Trust me, I looked at several other Memory Care facilities in the Lexington area. It wasn’t a decision I took lightly. In all honesty, the main reason that I decided Highgrove was the right place for my mom was the Memory Care director, Lisa Stamper & her staff! Lisa is a great communicator and loves her residents like they her own. She is always quick to let me know of any issues that my mom might be experiencing as well as sharing the positive of mom’s daily living! I appreciate both. As far as her staff, they too are dedicated to the residents and providing love and care for each of them. I believe they all work together as a team under Lisa’s leadership! As we all know, there’s no perfect place but I’m so happy we are @ Highgrove at Tates Creek/Memory Care. It was the BEST decision for us! Living in this upscale community is just the perfect place for someone who wants it all. She has her car and because of the awesome location she is able to get everywhere she needs to go without getting on a busy highway. There are always activities happening such as outings, fitness, happy hour, etc, which are convenient and readily available with active participants. Common areas are always buzzing with residents playing billiards, working out, lounging in the terrace; this is definitely NOT a senior living ghost town. All staff from management to resident care really pull together as a team to provide customized service with respect and dignity and make themselves accountable and available for residents and family members. I have been here for a year now and have only good things to say about it. Our leaders are wonderful, they will help you anyway possible. You will never be lonely again. Plenty of activities to play, learn, and have fun. Our newest item we just got “Alexa” great. It is like I have a new friend. She can do all kinds of things she teaches, spells, reminds you, explains what’s happening all day and a lot more. Plus all utilities, cable and internet – cost are able to stay low with this model, so you can bring in home health which is covered by insurance and add on their in house care giver service provided by Parker medical, a small local mom and pop owned company.By Krista Haddad (2 years ago)This is a wonderful community in which to live. The staff is absolutely fantastic-friendly, helpful, accessible for any needs or concerns. The facility is really a classy, beautiful place to be. I feel so much at home. The residents are also very friendly and enjoyable to be around. Richmond Place is an amazing facility. I have witnessed first hand the excellent customer service the staff provides to every family that walks through the door. They continue to ensure that the residents feel at home and satisfied with their living conditions! The grounds at Richmond Place are beautiful and kept clean at all times. They have tons of activities for the residents that I have even volunteered for. Seeing the smiles on their faces was priceless! Perfect place for your loved ones! When you tour, ask for Sonia! She will ensure your experience is worthwhile!
Richmond Place has been completely transformed into a beautiful, warm and inviting place! Everything has been updated. The common areas are bright and modern with beautiful pieces of art and gorgeous decor. The dining room looks like an elegant restaurant.
Most importantly is the staff. They’re warm, friendly and engaging with their residents. Sonja in particular enters the room with a smile on her face and makes you feel like you’re the only one that matters! Stephanie who heads up the Ambassador program (extra helpers) was extremely professional and really took the time to listen to us as we shared our needs!
My mother has lived at Richmond Place for 7 years. She met many people and made many new friends. It is a very nice facility in a wonderful location. It is the only one in Lexington that I know of which has a large courtyard. The courtyard has walking paths, a swimming pool, gazebo, patio and a garden area for residents to grow their own flowers and plants.
The staff is very friendly and has done a wonderful job of keeping the residents safe during the Covid Pandemic.
The best part is my mother is happy and safe so I don’t have to worry about her being alone. She lives in the independent living apartments. Richmond Place also has assisted living and memory care if needed.
I highly recommend it.
The memory care facility lost most of our mother’s things when she was there, even with her name on them. Clothes, linens, towels, pillows, the cord and remote to the television, wall pictures, OTC medicines, two cell phones, shoes… We frequently found her to be wearing someone elses’ clothes and shoes. The staff was very kind to her but the turnover was tremendous.
Mom’s been at Richmond Place for about a month. We couldn’t be happier! The staff are friendly, helpful, and very professional. When they say they will make sure she takes her meds – they make sure she takes her meds!
