- Reviews:I live on the street in Jersey City where these guys are working for the past 2 months and believe me they have no idea what they’re doing. They have ruined the whole street, they have dug the whole street I think more than three times because they just don’t know how to fix things the first time. Causing a hell lot of trouble for the residents of the street with dust and noise all day. Now after two months when we finally thought they have completed the job because they completed the road, they dig it again cause guess what, they messed up again! By the way, this is my third time using them for a water heater replacement. My installers for the day were Ervin and Jeff. These guys were professional and they worked together as a team and did an excellent job. They completed the job in a timely manner and moved on to their next appointment. I initially asked a lot of questions before scheduling the appointment. The reason for all the questions is because it had been a number of years since I needed a water heater replaced. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of work hadn’t change throughout all the years with the company. Technicians Fred and T.J. arrived early, using CoVid-19 protocols and safety. They worked out a method where they did not need to break any wall or shower enclosure. This saved time and money. They replaced a 30 yr old Moen system will a diverter plate and newer Delta system, with updated code specs. Fred and T.J. were done in about 2 hours time, leaving the bathroom clean and usable. Had a clogged 4” Schedule 40 PVC drain pipe. The pipe is underground and handles water from a rain gutter & a sump pump dumping the rain water into a little stream that runs along the side of my house. Called Roto-Rooter who responded within a few hours. Service tech spotted the blockage with his camera. It was about 16’ in from the open end of the pipe and he proceeded to attack it with a high pressure hose for about 2 hours. Despite his best effort the blockage remained. Bill for attempt…$1,271.50 (after discount). Following tech’s advise I dug up the pipe, cut out a section near the blockage & pulled out a 12” tightly compacted mass of fine roots and dirt. Root-Rooter might be good for soft sewage issues but for matted fine roots it was a expensive lesson in what not to do for roots. New jingle: Call Roto-Rooter….that’s the name and away goes your money down the drain. Roto-Rooter!
Jihad was great at explaining our issue to us and gave good recommendations on how to address it. He was very thorough with his work. We do not want to have to call back (as we hope to avoid future plumbing issues), but when we do, we won’t hesitate to call RotoRouter based on the experience we had with Jihad today.
Second time using Roto rooter and I am a satisfied customer! The plumbing technicians were very professional and got the job done right! They even arrived earlier as I hoped they would. Absolutely phenomenal team – very knowledgeable and friendly. They were here within two hours of our call in. Each group for their team came in and explained up front and in detail the estimated costs and options , what their portion of the job entailed and everything was very seamless and quickly accomplished. For a rough situation that was unexpected, they made the ordeal as pleasant as it could possibly be and we are very happy w the service. Would highly recommend .
Scheduled next day, weeknd service online for two urgent issues and received a call first thing the next morning asking if I’d like the tech to come out 4 hours earlier than originally scheduled which was great. The tech, Antonio, was excellent. Very professional and pleasant to work with. He answered any questions I had, clearly explained the work he would be doing and associated costs, and maintained a good sense of humor throughout which helped make for a truly positive experience despite the plumbing issues.
Antonio also made sure I was aware of the discounts available to me.
After work was completed there was a minor billing issue which I called the local Middlesex office about. The branch manager Adam, who was also very pleasant to work with, got back to me within one business day and immediately rectified the issue.
I will absolutely call this branch again and ask for Antonio by name if I have plumbing issues in the future.
