The Best Buy in Rapid City definitely earned 5/5 stars! Matthew in the Apple Section near the back was extremely helpful by getting us what we needed and offering to check us out in the back. And when we were leaving James (the GM I believe) was at the front doors and offered to take our empty cart for us to return it. I usually come here for computer parts and tools and they work really well. They seem to be short on certain products though. I was hoping they would have a wider selection of Android phones like the Sony Xperia, but they mostly have Samsung and Apple in stock. I will say that I was able to find the Sony Xperia III on the website and it came in and I’ll tell you it’s the best phone I have ever had, camera quality is superb and crisp. Just wish I could have bought it in store and had it same day. I used to main LG phones, but lately they have stopped manufacturing phones, but I am glad I switched. All in all good store, great staff. Just wish it didn’t close so early. I’ll be honest. I didn’t do the actual work to compare prices with other locations, but I don’t know if I trust that they truly are the best place to buy.
The salespeople were certainly friendly and knowledgeable; but I won’t be fooled their goal is still to separate a fool from his money.

Was not good. And the ones that were out with was only one person never acknowledged as we stood there waiting, but walked off as he was helping another person in front of us.
This was the coldest visit we’ve ever had.
Colorado has much better customer service. At least they look at you and acknowledge you. Sorry, but not happy today. Yest we still bought a printer and other stuff.

We usually come here when we need to do something with our phone lines because they offer good deals on their phones and work with most of the big networks. The cell phone area can get really busy and we have had to wait many times, but we learned the best times to go when they aren’t too busy. When walking around staff always asks if we need help and are willing to help, but they do not hover over you. We have bought appliances, computers, etc from here and have been happy with all our purchases. I actually had an issue with a cell phone being delivered to the wrong address and then shipped back to the state it came from and Best Buy was quick to fix the problem and even gave us a gift card for all the hassle. The staff in each department is very knowledgeable in their products and the area they are working in and are able to answer the questions we have had. Currently, they require masks inside the store. They are also currently hiring for seasonal work.
Friendly in store staff. Be aware of buying digital downloads through the site. You may or may not get them. I unfortunately did not get mine and that’s been 2 calls to corporate and 5 days later. Been checking email, junk, spam, everything. They say it’s coming but still nothing has arrived. They have my money, but I have no product, and digital downloads are non-refundable. Thanks Best Buy!
I usually don’t leave reviews but the customer service I received went above and beyond. Long story short, we had to take our newly purchased TV out of the box to make it fit in our car. We didn’t realize the cord, remote, etc. was in the inside of the box which he had the store take care of. We reached out via email once we got home (2 hours away) and Micah contacted us and had our missing components shipped to our home free of charge.
Earlier today, I went in to buy a new TV and left with nothing. After waiting for assistance, my help came by first stating he was “backup of the backup” — quite reassuring when you’re about to spend nearly a thousand dollars. Once the TV was selected and located, he asked if I had a suitable vehicle. Since I drive a sedan, it was deemed unsuitable for hauling. I asked to test it or for them to deliver it, no assistance. I asked for a tape measure to see if it would fit, I was informed they didn’t have a single one in house. Afterwards, I went to Target, bought the same exact TV, and it was loaded into my vehicle without issue. As a former Best Buy enthusiast, I was disappointed with the utter lack of assistance and knowledge.
Has been in Best buy for the last hour trying to get a wiring harness for my car audio as online it says they have one available in store so I get here and I’m searching all over every associate in the place is busy busy busy can I get anyone to help me finally I found somebody and for whatever reason this wiring harness that I need was locked in the back by the installation area so good thing I stuck around! Video showing how the cashiers just allow anybody to walk in off the street, step right up to a cashier even though there’s three people in line and take care of the one that just walked in first!
