What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Awesome place with Great Food!

Don’t be surprised if NO MENU offered to you! As there’s none! All menus are SPILLED OUT by the staff’s! or may refer to their IG.

Quality foods will surprised you, particularly the Seafoods and Meat, and the portion a bit tricky as it’s served in a big portion for sharing.

Families or with a bunch of people are highly recommended to come here, particularly if you are a food hunter!

    Tips:-
    1. Can call to order early especially for some special food arrangements.
    2. Carpark is an issue.
    3. Price a bit pricy BUT value for money!

  2. Food is tasty but a bit pricey although the carbs portion is big. Visited regularly many many years back. No menu provided so the owner has the advantage of suggesting one expecialy large glass of yogurt drink which was too sweet and I cant finish, so i guess it was a bit of wasted coz 2 people cant expect 2 extra large glasses with too sweet drinks lol. The ordered plate was maggi goreng karubi which costs Rm60 as suggested. So we got the lesson next time to plan what to order first. The menus are purely based on pictures on their instagram, not much photos of beverages, size etc.

  3. Great place to eat, the portion is big, delicious and amazing. I try the chili crab and the mix grilled. The chicken part is a lil bit dry, overall is ok. The crab is delicious! I even tapau another one for my brother. Enviroment is okay, the staff is super nice and the owner is helpful.

  4. Good food, the portion is huge for a group of 5 to have! For a RM200 platter that have ribs, steaks, lamb and many more! Plus, the soda with lychee/longan is really refreshing! Will definitely come over again ????

  5. Terrible service, bad food and DEFINITELY OVERPRICED. RM25 for Fish & Chip that is not fresh, and protein portion tiny, while its mainly carbs, side dish that doesn’t make sense. Never coming back, wouldn’t recommend anyone over either.

The best way to put it,

“Proper restaurant pricing, with worst than road side stall quality food”

You’d definitely be better off anywhere else but here. Its been a very long while since I regret ordering something.

Mamak restaurant with stalls selling carious local food – char kueh teow, nasi lemak, wantan mee, etc. Quite a good variety of food. We tried the nasi lemak RM12, huge portion. The yong tau foo is also good.

Very dissapointed with stall selling malay dishes ie lontong, soto, etc, not overall restaurant. Jamal Mohammad is a nice place to lepak. Ordered lontong kering, received well lontong yg dikeringkan kuahnya. Came with kobis from lontong which has been dried out the gravy, blanched kacang panjang, tiny tiny sliced fried tempe, mihun celur i/o suhoon (probably from soto) & half boiled egg. Served on a small flat pinggan expected us to mix well the aboves without spilling. My advice if you gonna sell any dishes do it probably. This is not right. If it’s good & proper, your client doesn’t mind to pay.

Saw someone share about this place on twitter. I went to try the wantan mee. its good, not like usual plain wantan mee. its served with roasted chicken tigh or drumstick. it cost me RM9 which i think reasonably priced considering the chicken portion. My sister ordered the curry me and i think it was just so-so. could have been better. dont expect it to taste like mee kari because its more like a chinese style curry mee, pretty less condiments than usual mee kari. its advisable to reach there before 9AM to avoid crowd.

Good food but service much to be desired. Have to constantly call for assistance. Will come back to try their Thai food.

The food is great, but the services at that time is a bit tad late for my order of drinks. Nevertheless all is good since the foods is wonderful and delicious, there are so many choices. By the way, this is my personal opinion and preference based on what i eat and feel at the time. Eventhough, what i review is nor reflex the true extend of the food and business at that time since i just order some type of food only in that particular time.

Malay style fried Ayam Kampung The Google location was sent to my phone so that I could meet my friend here who still had not taken his lunch last Sunday. He didn’t want to meet me in the notorious Sunway Damansara area because he knew parking was hard to find during that hour. About 5 minutes later, I arrived in front of this unassuming Malay restaurant aptly named Restoran Ayam Kampung. The sight of families going into the restaurant was enough to convince me about the quality. The concept is like our Chinese economy rice style, take a plate and fill in the rice + dishes that you want.. their concept of Nasi berlauk. ◾My friend who’s a regular here asked for freshly fried whole leg of the Ayam Kampung. Smaller in size compared to the regular chicken with lesser meat but the flavour hits all the right spot for me. The meat wasn’t as tough normally associated with Ayam Kampung. Made me itchy for second piece. ◾Sambal was on the sweet side which made perfect for the plate of white rice. ◾Malay style stir fried bitter gourd with egg. ◾Lots of ulam available – some of them I’d never seen before. ◾other dishes include Ikan keli, Ayam masak merah and various types of gulai dishes. The fried Ayam Kampung was so delicious and I could just come for this dish alone without others.

Purposely come here for Ayam Kampung, surprisingly their chicken is tender, but it’s a bit cold and not crispy. Same for the other food, curry chicken, sambal anchovies and etc….The self-service food stall is not so presentable, makes you very hard to decide which to take. I took 2ayam kampung, sambal anchovies, half biji salted egg and bitterguard. (Rm18.50).

Has bee a regular customer here for the past 10 years when i stay at KD before move out to Shah Alam. The taste is flavorful and suit well with my taste bud. They serving the same type of lauk everyday and so far the taste quality is never compromised. They place can be crowded at noon especially on weekdays where people went there to have their lunch break. Parking space quite alot but always full, plus there is tyre shop next to this restaurant where they park their customer cars. Fully recommended for those ayam kampung lovers.

Highly recommended for those who love or want to try Malay cuisine. I always go back here almost once a week for their organic ‘fried ayam kampung’, lala (seafood) and kerabu ( tasty mix raw ‘ulam’ vegetables with local herbs). Frequent customers also love the sambal ikan bilis (spicy-sweet fried anchovies), coconut-based gravy dishes such as masak lemak nenas (pineapple) and masak lemak ikan patin. You can also enjoy the selection of ulams and sambal sauce. If you are visiting KL/Klang Valley area, or expats/travellers who want to try local Malay cuisine, do drop by this place at Kota Damansara.

As a first timer. The food is tasty for lunch. I never get to tried yet the masakan panas. For sure will come later on. A bit pricey but then its par. I took lala and ayam masak merah and sambal belacan. Teh o ais some more. Masakan kg. My sister took the ayam kampung gravy. Overall its a pleasant experience. The food is fresh especially lala.
