We had a plumbing emergency today, the weekend of Easter. After many places turned us away, Clark was willing and able to come out. The gentleman that came out, I’m sorry I can’t remember his name, was the on call plumber. He not only fixed our problem , he did it with a great attitude, was very willing to walk us through the problem, and changed us a rate that was more than reasonable, despite the holiday weekend call. Once they showed me the video, it was obvious that the cast iron pipe had a trench down the middle due to the previous owners using Drano, and other chemicals over the years. Mr. Bobby Clark was extremely helpful in coordinating with the Insurance adjuster. During this process of cutting into the slab to replace the old damaged cast iron pipe with new PVC pipe. Doug and Jeremy were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I can honestly say that not only do I have two plumbers that I can call on for help, but I have made two new friends during this process! We had main line blockage in our plumbing, and they took the time to be sure of the problem, looked at the most cost-effective way to address and repair the problem, provided additional work on my kitchen drain and faucet while they were at my home, (avoiding another service call and it’s cost), and were very personable and made sure at the conclusion of their visit that everything was functioning properly. They provided the cost of the repair work in advance, and were very professional while working in our home and on our property. I’ll certainly be using them for any additional needs that might arise. Unfortunately the unthinkable happened. I called on the morning of Nov18th to schedule an appointment to have someone come out to check my heat/furnace. I was told that the technician would probably arrive that afternoon, which I was fine with since I had another service call for a plumbing issue with another company. At 3:13 pm, I received a phone call from a gentleman (don’t recall his name, however the name that showed up on my phone was Tiffany Lewis) stating that he was leaving Millbrook and was in route to my home in Prattville. By that time the other service call for my plumbing issue had arrived so I lost track of time. However, I realized that it was almost 5:00 and the technician had still not arrived. So I called him (it was 4:57) and asked if he stilled planned on coming. His response to me was that he came to my home and saw another service provider at my home so he assumed that I called someone else to take care of the issue so he went to another call, but that he could come back to my home . To be honest I was appalled and couldn’t believe what he had just admitted to. I said, you’re telling me that you ASSUMED that someone else was fixing the issue so you just decided to leave without stopping to check or call!? I found his actions to be very unprofessional and unacceptable. How dare he take it upon himself to assume what’s going on in my home especially after I had spoken with him earlier telling him that I would see him soon. Prompt, and honest, when I called. Told me ahead of time what it would cost extra to do the Emergency (within 1 day on weekends), vs waiting until Monday.
Plumber was very clean, and didn’t make or leave a mess. Explained what the service plan cost, and how it would help. Very knowledgeable!

I’ve used Dixie Electric, Plumbing & Air for many years because of their high-quality work. Plus they have always been punctual, professional and friendly. I’ve never been disappointed. On the rare occasion that I had a concern about the work completed, they attended to my concern immediately. They stand behind their work 100%. When I’ve had emergencies, someone was sent out quickly, which I highly appreciate. Because of my good experiences, I subscribed to their Dixie Care Plan years ago.
Most recently Corey performed a semi-annual maintenance/inspection of my HVAC. He was thorough, professional, friendly, appropriately dressed and very knowledgeable. He answered all of the questions I had in great detail and in an understandable manner. I had been thinking of changing or adding some things and he offered me several cost-effective solutions. Please keep up the good work!
I called Dixie because many outlets and switches were not functioning properly in several different rooms. They sent Nathan Royal to my house to check it out. Nathan was a wonderful technician to work with. He addressed the situation and made me aware of what it would cost prior to starting work. After figuring out the problem, he explained it to me in a way that I could easily understand. Nathan was very professional yet personable at the same time. He fixed all the outlets and switches in a timely manner, while also giving me quotes for several ticket items I was interested in having done around the house. I cannot say enough good things about him or Dixie. I highly recommend them!
We have had Dixie come out and do several things in our new home and it is definitely worth the investment of being in the cares plan. They are such good people and have done great work! They are always honest with us, and I never feel like they are just trying to make a buck. They genuinely try to save us money where they can. We just had Ben Whitehead come out and do some plumbing and I highly recommend requesting him if you need some plumbing done!
Dylan efficiently installed two tvs on mounts in no time at all.
Dustin performed most thorough inspection on my central a/c unit–even checking duct work in attic. He performed needed work on my 9-year- old system for better performance and gave me much needed info on how to improve performance.
All in one day! Guess I had a Dixie Day.
