What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I am admittedly obsessed with Costco but this is my favorite location! They always seem to have the hot items in stock that my family in different areas text me about. Currently the Dewey’s lemon cookies and Island Way sorbet (pictured) are some popular items, both in stock. I am also on a first name basis with Myron one of the greeters, super nice guy! I know this is no secret, but their meat quality and selection is incredible as well!

  2. I love this place because of the awesome selection and deals that are consistently offered. The only downside about this location is the layout as it pertains to the checkout lines. I often see everyone obliviously forming 2 long lines, one at self checkout and one in the middle aisle, despite the fact there are at least 10 manned registers. If they had a better process for the checkout lines it would vastly improve the customer experience.

  3. Staff was rude, visibly stressed and yelling over customers. It was a very unpleasant experience being herded like cattle through the self check out line and not even able to check out my own things. I like to check out myself because I don’t want to spend over a certain $ amount and it was uncomfortable having to stop the staff member who was scanning my items to ask him what he’s scanned so far and explain I wanted to stop at $500. He stared at me like a deer in the headlights and begrudgingly took the items I did not end up purchasing away without a “have a nice day” or anything! So rude. Also many shoppers were completely inconsiderate of others. They should have someone on the Loud speaker gently reminding everyone to be cognizant of their surroundings and considerate of others during peak hours. Some lady was holding up the exit door over literally nothing, others cut in line and staffers did not stop it, it was just overall a terrible experience. Please think of your customers and put some effort into making the shopping experience better. It is not a cheap membership nor is it easy to haul the bulk items around the warehouse then to the car, etc. so the least you can do is make it enjoyable and treat your paying customers with respect. Also, for what it’s worth, the refrigerated items should be in the front of the warehouse. The whole time I was worried about keeping those cold and doing that last which throws off the flow of the store. Also, you should have insulated bags for the meat for sale at check out.

  4. All customers should be treated the same, I saw him let 4 ppl in front & person directly behind me quickly flash him their Costco card, only showing the front because I could see the back. One gentleman even had his card in his wallet like an ID and wasn’t asked to take it out. However, after I do the same & I’m asked to mine front (2x) & back (long stare & look back & forth for a face comparison). I’ve been a member several years and this was a 1st. I usually enjoy costco but that was unwarranted if it didn’t apply to all.

  5. It’s a fine store, except every weekend it’s crowded enough for the lines to go to the back of the store and yet multiple registers are always closed. Frozen goods rarely make it home without defrosting if you’re stuck waiting.

How to Shop Smart at Costco Nashville TN: A Quick Tutorial

Shopping at Costco can be a great way to save money on groceries and household items. With their bulk sizes and low prices, it’s easy to stock up on essentials. However, navigating the store and understanding their policies can be a bit overwhelming for first-time shoppers. Here are some simple guidelines to help you shop at Costco.

  • Get a Costco membership: In order to shop at Costco, you need to be a member. They offer two types of memberships – Gold Star and Executive. The Gold Star membership costs per year and the Executive membership costs 0 per year. The Executive membership comes with additional benefits like annual 2% rewards on qualified Costco purchases.
  • Review the weekly flyer: Costco publishes a weekly flyer with their latest deals and promotions. It’s a good idea to review the flyer before going to the store to see if there are any items you need on sale.
  • Create a shopping list: Since Costco sells items in bulk, it’s important to make a shopping list beforehand. This will help you stay focused and avoid buying more than you need.
  • Bring your own shopping bags or boxes: Costco does not provide shopping bags, so it’s a good idea to bring your own reusable bags or boxes to carry your purchases.
  • Check the return policy: Costco has a generous return policy. They accept returns on most items within 90 days of purchase. However, some items like electronics have a shorter return window.

Shopping at Costco can be a unique experience due to their warehouse-style layout and bulk sizes. To make the most out of your visit, here are some additional tips:

  • Bring cash or a debit card: While Costco does accept credit cards, they have limited options. It’s best to bring cash or a debit card to avoid any payment issues.
  • Plan for extra time: Due to the large size of the store and potential crowds, it’s wise to allocate extra time for your shopping trip. Give yourself ample time to browse, compare prices, and check out.
  • Take advantage of the food court: Costco’s food court is known for its affordable and delicious food. Grab a bite to eat before or after your shopping trip and fuel up for the rest of your day.
  • Consider sharing a membership: If you don’t plan on shopping at Costco frequently, you can split the cost of a membership with a friend or family member. This can help reduce the upfront cost.
  • Keep an eye out for additional savings: In addition to their low prices, Costco often has additional savings on select items. Look for signs indicating instant savings or check out their website for exclusive online offers.
