in the last weekThese several days and while we would love to return, but may not, and yes a great great atmosphere within walking distance to many various restaurants and shops plus even a grocery store and list of places are many. Again, it is not our first visit but dollar for dollar still.not a bad price because of ability to as everyone states so much to see and do. It could use some exterior light upgrade because many many spots within courtyard are extremely dark and many totally unsafe conditions due to age of complex. Back door swings out so again at night need to step back and pitch black in darknessTOTALLY AND I MEAN TOTALLY NOT SAFE CONDITIONS
then sharp metal edges on back door and in my 5 decades of experience in building projects should be safer than it is. Vinyl wood like flooring that is getting very tired and could use some
MAJOR TLC
to bring up to a better appearance for the money it cost to stay. TV’s just no words to express that not user friendly by any stretch again not remotely close Dollar for dollar if brought up to 4 or 5 star experience in a cabin you over look the single ply paper towels and toilet paper etc.etc. Everything is decent still just be careful at night as totally past dangers in certain areas. On site representative is great feeling to have and they will drop whatever they are doing to help within their control as a member of staff. In closing and it is always difficult to assume what others feel is a good price for what it is My opinion is if you addressed some minor issues within unit not a bad return on dollars spent. Absolutely need to address exterior.lights to be safe, some exterior back porch railing conflicts and it is so close to being perfect place but for some odd reason they will not address these problems that in this individuals stay over several years the tiny list of things to do are for again unknown reasons, are just not done.
a year agoThis is our Favorite place to stay in San Diego! Very clean cottages and oh so comfy. Favorite place of our Jack Russell as well. His cousins can come visit here and he gets to play with others in the grassy courtyard. We love Ocean Beach and the beautiful cliff views nearby. Great for walks with the dog. Very well managed and the people are so friendly and Helpful. We have stayed here a couple times now and are going back. Highly recommend it especially if you have Dogs.6 months agoCost $120 per day with a month or longer rental. Dog friendly setup. Unbeatable location for walking to ocean, Ocean Beach businesses, Sunset Cliffs. None of the excessive overhead of a bnb rental.a year agoWe stayed at Blue Heron Cottages at Ocean Beach for 5 days and loved it there. It’s in a nice neighbourhood and a short walk to the beach and the town. Easy parking and a lovely cottage with everything you need, including full kitchen, bath and shower, bedroom and sofabed in the lounge. The on-site manager was really friendly and helpful and I loved sitting in the courtyard and catching up on work on my laptop. Wifi was great for this! Would highly recommend if you need somewhere which has easy access to San Diego and its many suburbs.a year agoGreat Cottage except: living room sofa bed smelled of wet dog, its a pet friendly place but still its hard to sleep with that doggy smell. The owner offered to assist but the sofa bed needed to be steam cleaned: not feasible mid stay.

a week agoI could not have been more pleased with Good Life Resorts. The entire 40 person group that stayed was pleased with the accommodations, customer service, amenities, and cleanliness. Communication was top notch from booking, on site questions, and check out.
Good Life Resorts has a customer service first mentality and it showed through the entire 2 week stay. They treated us with the highest regard and ensured that everything was delivered to our level of satisfaction.
Amazing job!!
a month agoI was tasked with helping the Polish Men’s Lacrosse (LAX) team find housing for 40 players and coaches for their visit to San Diego for the World’s LAX championship. It was near impossible to find anything in San Diego in one location for this big of a group. I was fortunate to find Good Life Vacation Rental. They have large group accommodations that can host a whole team. In addition they have plenty of outdoor patio space for the group to hang out, grill and bond. The location was ideal and public transportation was nearby and downtown was 10 min away. Josh the owner was great in allowing me to view the space and quick to respond with any questions I had.
I highly recommend for group accommodations and group bonding events. Everyone in the team was very happy with the space.
2 months agoWe had an awesome time as this was the best big group venue we ever stayed at anywhere. To start, Josh was great with suggestions on how to set up our stay as well as using suggestions on who to cater food, where to go on a brewery tour, and setting us up to get group tickets to a Padres game. The resort is unbeatable. Each space is very large with tons of amenities and things to do, we could have just stayed on site all weekend and had a blast. Had 24 people between 3 buildings all on their own yet just a few steps away, with everyone in their own bed, and plenty of space. Scott was very helpful on arrival letting us know where things were and guide us. The public spaces were also awesome as it was a great place to meet up and get everyone together at. The location was also perfect as it was a short cheap uber to anywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommend to any type of group as there is privacy, amenities, and location that could fit any trip, thanks again!!
3 months agoIf you are looking for a place in San Diego to book your next group outing THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.Firstly, the communication I received from Joshua was top notch. He always responded quickly and is very friendly. Upon the day of our arrival, they gave us an early check in with no hassle and everything was contactless. The only people we saw were occasionally maintenance and cleaning crew.
The property itself was massive with a large hangout area with full bar, hammocks, plenty of chairs and sandy play area with corn hole and other games. The first night we arrived, we had the whole area to ourselves. Even throughout the weekend, it was never too full. Not only that, you can walk through the entire property without going to the street.
Now the house itself was perfect. I specifically rented out the surf loft. It had PLENTY of sleeping space and enough bathrooms to where I never had to wait for one. The kitchen was big enough to have 17 adults in there. Additionally the living room was big enough to hold easily 20+ people. On one wall from the living room had bar seating with a garage door that opened to the patio. The patio itself had a table, hanging chairs and a turfed area to hang where we had a few of us do some yoga.
I came here for my bachelor party. And while we weren’t the quietest bunch, we adhered to the noise policy as best we could and never got a complaint. The manager Scott was very attentive with replacing garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, etc whenever requested. If I am ever back in San Diego again, I will absolutely book again!
3 months agoWe had a large family and friend reunion down in San Diego and we rented out the entire resort. Every family got their own house, while also having plenty of entertaining and common area space for us to celebrate and have fun. It was clean, had super fast Wifi and there were lots of small touches that made this place unique and perfect for our large family and friend gathering. I would highly recommend.

Such a unique hostel experience! Absolutely loved the collaborative art atmosphere and community of this hostel. Location is a 10/10, walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery stores etc. Felt very safe here as a solo female. The outdoor space was my favorite and had enough room to socialize or do your own thing. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you Andy!
Loved my time there! kind hosts very Welcoming atmosphere,, friendly, clean environment and most importantly fun :))
I contacted them 2 weeks prior to when I was hoping to stay with them and they kind of just led me on for 2 weeks saying they didn’t know if they’d have space for me yet. But that they’d get back to me. They never said yes or no despite me following up many times. I can’t trust this hostel, and I’m bummed out because I don’t know why they led me on like that. I just hope it wasn’t discrimination during pride month! If you’re looking for an alternative, I loved staying at the Samesun Hostel
