  1. I usually visit this place before work to grab some snacks and drinks to store at work or sometimes take home. This location is usually clean and the staff is friendly and polite. Today I went in and it was spotless. More clean than usual. Same great staff. The stock can be a little spotty here and there but that’s inventory. Great place, great stuff. Proud to have it in the community.

  2. The cashier that I had was extremely disrespectful and rude. I purchased an item and when she rang it up it came up to a different amount that what was on the shelf and because I called it to her attention she went to the shelf and took all of the items off the shelf and threw them onto another shelf and then came back to the register. I asked her about the price and I also told her that because I didn’t realize she had walked off I had already swiped my card. She became extremely rude because she asked me did I want the price changed or not! I told her I wanted to correct price! The moral of the story is you can’t hire everybody that feels out of application regardless of how short staff you are.

  3. I’d give the store a 5 but the crowded feel, organization of product and antique registers that give constant problems the locations good. Also there’s no security and crazy people come through. Dollar Generals CEO and higher staff should be ashamed. A staff of almost entirely women being assaulted and robbed in front of customers with no protection is appealing and ridiculous. Things like this have happened numerous times. Never heard of a customer assaulting another customer still not cool to witness.

  4. Not very organized and the manager or supervisor was very loud in the back office talking to someone about handcuffs and personal stuff very inappropriate

  5. It was okay just that there was just one cashier and she was managing 2 registers at a time and it was a long line.

    I had a recently terrible experience at this location just today. I believed i was not only harassed, but racially profiled at this place. i was going to get some cat food and other supplies when i was approached by a skinny gentleman with dreads asking”what was in my bag?” Apparently,he thought i was stealing. the items he claimed i was putting in my pocket i had in my hand in plain view. After that, a security guard stepped up behind me. After the dreaded one had his chest puffed up and in fighting stance mode, the guard held my hands while the dreaded one unzipped my jacket only to find i had nothing else on me. I was then escorted out of the store. This was very embarrassing and totally uncalled for. I will be sure to not EVER shop in there again. And if anyone happens to know a great lawyer who would not mind taking this case, please contact me ASAP.

    Dollar General has been the only store that still sells the 5 pack miniature candy (Snickers, Almond Joy, Reese’s Cup, Mr. Goodbar, York Peppermint Patties), all costing $1.00 a pack. This store was clean, stocked with merchandise, the cashiers were very pleasant and answered my question when I asked if they participated in the OTC program. I did not get a chance to compare prices to other products and merchandise, but I will do so on my next visit. I was very pleased with my visit. I travel by public transportation on the P12 (Eastover) or D12 (Suitland) from Southern Avenue Metro Station.

    They have 2 price for same products, when I ask for help, the man standing front of door void me, make me uncomfortable to buy product and I left the store

    The customer service is outstanding. Such nice people work there. Unfortunately there is a lot of loitering and beggars milling about. They have nice items there. It would be the bomb.com if it was fully stocked. I got a cute little lamp for $10 and 3 pieces of outdoor furniture for $50. Not bad.

    There are no words. This store literally has nothing, most of the shelves are empty. At 7p, there was only one person at the register with a line down the aisle. Then the cashier started yelling they were closing in 10 minutes while the other one was saying the same thing standing outside of the door
