  Today is a very sad day, I will not longer be taking my business to Jerri’s Barbershop. The Barbers in my opinion are the best in Charleston. That is why I was willing to drive from Summerville to West Ashley because it was worth it. But, today, was not a good experience and will not be going back. I know life happens but the Barber I booked my appointment with canceled 45 mins before my appointment. Which I did not see because I was driving there. I went in and signed in the staff told offered to work me in but I couldn’t wait, I had to get to work, that is why I scheduled my appointment and didn’t go as a walk in. The staff seemed just as frustrated as I was. Overall it was just a bad experience. I feel its best to just find a new barbershop.

  Place is really bizarre, first time I ever went here I waited maybe 20min without anyone saying anything to me before I realized that there is a sign up board at the front, apparently if your not on it they don’t acknowledge you exist.

  The second time I tried to set up an appointment at their location on university blvd. only to show up and see that it was no longer there. There was nothing on their website saying this.

  This place is very strange, would not reccomend.

  Lori was awesome. I’ve always enjoyed a good relaxing haircut. Can’t get that at Supercuts, Sports clips, and the likes. Straight razor neck shave. Man cave atmosphere and super convenient. Very clean and great music while your get a nice trim.

  The atmosphere is great, decor is great, feels like a man’s barber shop. Haircut was mediocre, left a half inch gap above my ears which looks rediculous. Didn’t notice until I got home.

  Definitely a shop geared for guys. Very retro cool feel for a very retro cool barber shop. Staff is amazing and will work with you to get an amazing cut. Definitely my new go-to barber shop. Love this place.

  Lori was fantastic. She gave my son his first haircut (5.5 months old) and did a great job. She was kind and patient with my little guy, and his hair looks great! I got my cut after him. Great experience. The entire staff was kind.

  I should have read the reviews first… For 3 days I tried to get a haircut here the wait times for online checkin was 120, 145-160 minutes or more for wait times but finally on the 3rd day I decided to checkin. Go do some errands and then at the end of the day I would be there on time. When I arrived there was only 2 people working. I had never been to Sports Clips before and just moved here so I didn’t know what to do. They said to checkin on the screen and before I was even done the girl said she could take me back. She didn’t tell me anything they offered. She really didn’t seem to even care why I was there. I told her how I like it cut and she went to work. She buzzed with clippers so long that they went did. She used about 4 different heads on the clippers. I told her it was just a simple 1” to 2” faded in and scissors cut on top. Very simple. My stylist and the other stylist were cracking jokes and stuff that had nothing to do with anything that me or the client next to me was interested in. He was just as uncomfortable as I was. She did offer a shampoo and hot towel which was nice but she was either high or drunk cause she was all over the place. They definitely need more staff and better trained. When I got home I had my roommate hold a mirror up because I seen hairs on my neck. I had to end up cleaning up my neck at home and I said I wanted “Square” neck cut but it is rounded on 1 side and square on the other. Wasn’t a good experience, Awkward and uncomfortable and not a good haircut for $30. Hire some staff because 160 minute wait times is ridiculous for days and days in a row.

  They do not offer what they say they do – I have never been offered a neck/shoulder massage as their menu states (and I have paid for). They also consistently open late and typically do not offer the included shampoo either.

  Chantelle is awesome! She genuinely seemed to care about my hair and what I wanted. She needs to open her own salon as it seemed her other coworkers were being a bit problematic throughout the time I was there- but this review is about her! Five stars! She’s also very sweet and I like the haircut she helped me navigate.

  I have been a customer since Sport Clips opened on James Island. Amanda has cut my hair ever since. She is very detailed oriented, takes her time, and makes sure your cut looks great. My son and indeed pretty much every guy in my neighborhood goes to Amanda! I have never left feeling like I didn’t get what I asked for nor leaving with a cut that I felt looked bad.

  Initial walk in assessment was great. Lively, friendly staff, TV to watch during my wait which wasn’t long. My stylist was this pink haired lady. She was very friendly and kind. She paid attention to every detail of how I wanted my hair then offered input as to her professional opinion. Then she began. Super quick and the meticulous attention to detail was ground shattering. I’ve always been able to find a spot here or their that was bad. With this lady. Nothing, I swear the haircut is flawless. I’ve been complimented so many times on how great I look. Ontop she also shaved my face 100x better than I ever could and washed my hair then styled it. I love my haircut and she will be my forever stylist. They all made the experience memorable and fun for sure. Sports Clips definitely struck a Diamond with her and it definitely sparkles.
