I have been at Lincoln Street for about 5 years now. I appreciate the attention to detail and effort in listening to customer. I have some tough “cow licks” to deal with. Jason has figured out a way to work with my hair and give a cut that helps me manage it as my hair grows back in. That takes real craftsmanship on his part. I imagine that extends to the rest of the team there and highly recommend the place. The environment has a great masculine vibe to it as well. Fresh coffee at 6AM is a nice bonus too!By Flint E. The staff was very helpful, professional, and courteous on the phone when I made the reservation. When we arrived the atmosphere was welcoming and very chill. The barber was kind and personable. Yet Jason does it smoother than anyone else I have seen. My old barber moved somewhere and didn’t tell me where and so I was looking around. I found this place in the “Best Of Colorado Springs” section of The Independant. I checked google reviews here and decided to give it a shot. I saw many reviews saying Jason is an artist. I am a skeptic but I figured I would give it a shot. Scheduled my appointment online (which was the hardest initial part but will make for easy use later after your first time), but I am not gonna lie to you, these reviews are legit. So today I had a dye job and I had also asked for a razor fade on my undercut as I usually get. What I got was a buzzed undercut brought up much higher than it had previously sat on my head. I’m upset because I didn’t have a lot of hair on the sides and my undercut was cut so I could still do double braids and pig tail hairstyles. My hair now has a very similar look to a Mohawk or “long on top” male style. Which is upsetting because it’s unflattering on my skull and I now have to wear my hair down to look feminine (when typically I wear my hair up) Just feeling really insecure trying to figure out how to fix my hair now. I included pictures of how my undercut before for reference to how drastic the hair line difference is. I made it clear that my only free day was 12/14 as I needed a babysitter to get this done. I was assured I gave enough notice that they would be able to accommodate that. I told the guy to please let me know if it wouldnt work. Today they call me and ask to move my 4pm appointment to 2:45 which was annoying but my babysitter was available so not the worst. However I get there and they say they cant color my hair. “We’ll have to do it tomorrow”, she said. I cant believe they made me rearrange my day for nothing. I just left.
