What’s not to love about this place? Food was absolutely amazing and the service was second to none! Our server Kevin and his apprentice were absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to ensure that we were well taken care of and had everything we needed. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming. The DJ in the parking area had the tunes rolling while we were waiting to be seated. I’m recommending this establishment to anyone visiting the area and looking for an amazing place to chill and catch a good vibe. Definitely A-1! Deliciously good.By Milton Shephard (4 months ago)WOW! We had heard about this joint from family and we were told we had to visit when we came to Atlanta. We are SO glad they told us – this is an experience no one should miss out on! The food was exceptional!!! You can tell every single detail of the food was well thought out and purposeful. The staff was phenomenal! And the entire experience, including the DJ outside while we waited made our experience great! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!By Devynn Bohn (a year ago)Visited this establishment for the first time & it was the best decision I’ve made since I’ve been in Atlanta. Great service, nice vibe and the FOOD!!! Absolutely amazing! I had the peach cobbler French toast & I never want it any other way than this now! Great portion size, servers wore masks and the place was spotless. Make sure you stop by the Mimosa bar outside also. Do yourself and your palette a favor and indulge ????By Tami Roman (11 months ago)This place is amazing. Be prepared to wait but it is well worth the wait. It was 5 of us on a Sunday and the wait was about an 1.5hrs. Between the 5 of us 3 different meals were ordered and everyone loved them. I had the Georgia Peach (pic) which was chicken & waffles with bacon, peach compote, and powdered sugar. Two of my friends had shrimp and grits, another had the regular chicken & waffles, and the last friend had salmon croquette. My friend said they were the best salmon croquettes he had ever had. The service was quick and precise; no one had an issue with their order and everything came out quickly despite the long wait time. Also, once you are done, be prepared to ask to leave. With there being a long wait, they don’t allow you to just sit around after you settle your bill. They kindly ask that you leave so that they can get other guests seated. I will definitely come back and visit every time I am in the area.By Joshua Hill (2 months ago)A little pricey but worth it! I suggest if you want to dine here, use Yelp or call ahead and make a reservation else you might have to wait a bit. We got there at 8:30am and waited 30 minutes. Shortly after we got “in line” (they text you when it’s your turn) the place got crowded outside with a bunch of people waiting much longer than 30 minutes.
I got the custom biscuit order with chicken, cheese egg, and shrimp gravy. The shrimp gravy was the star of the show here! Fantastic! Between the wife and I, there was nothing left – clean plate club all the way.
The wife ordered chicken and waffles with peach cobbler (The GA Peach). It was very good, but our opinion it was overly sweet. We saved about 1/2 for leftovers. Some may like theirs so sweet, so to each their own! 🙂
Would I recommend this place – heck yea! Get the shrimp gravy! It’s unique compared to all the typical southern gravies you’ll find anywhere else. We look forward to another visit here soon!

What a great brunch experience. From the atmosphere to the service and the food I wish I could rate this place higher. Started with the freshly baked pastries which are a must. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and the flavor was exquisite. I also tried the french toast. Simply delicious. Don’t leave before enjoying your favorite cocktail by the river. You can spend hours admiring such a beautiful place.By Iveth Cardona (7 months ago)We went here for Easter Sunday Brunch with my family and it was literally divine! We sat on the patio overlooking the river, which was so serene and beautiful. The salmon appetizer was light and simultaneously decadent. The pastry basket was delightful. The salmon Benedict with cheese grits was my absolute fave! The crispy shrimp salad was great and so was the chicken. Our server was very attentive and the view spectacular. Overall a wonderful Easter celebration. Love this place ????????????By Gillian Caine (9 months ago)4.5 ???? Nice upscale restaurant with really good food. Our waiter was really exceptional. The house smoked salmon is a great starter, along with the butternut squash soup and apple salad. Highlight was the braised rabbit entree. Don’t sleep on dessert either, you can get a half portion of the popcorn ice cream which I definitely recommend.By Aja Brandman (3 weeks ago)We had one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Our waiter, Jimmy, did a very thorough description of the menu & the specials. First off, the bread course is in a league of it’s own. We ate the whole basket.
We ordered the kangaroo for an appetizer and the duck and the rabbit for the entrees. All of it was mind-blowing. We will definitely be coming back.By Sydney Haynes (10 months ago)The food and vibe were so great. The atmosphere while dining out at the river view is really awesome.Coming to the food options, they don’t have any vegetarian options. They have a limited chicken dish. The Kangaroo appetizer and the rabbit dish are the best. If you were to try different kinds of meat, I would say this place is the best!

A modern southern cuisine type of place. The interior design is clean, simple and contemporary. The service was excellent. The food was okay. My fried chicken was a bit salty. The biscuits were light and flaky. The grits were modest and over reliant on the gravy. My friend says the pimento cheese was excellent.By Minh Hua (8 months ago)This was my first time here. Service was excellent and food was great. The Maryann & Ginger bourbon cocktail was tasty. GA Peach salad with blue cheese was a surprisingly good combo. Entrees….
Shrimp and grits – shrimp a bit overcooked but other wise very good
Fried chicken livers, onions and corn – to die for
Trout – delicious and just spicy enoughBy Dallas Davisson (6 months ago)Came here with a small group of about 5 people and left very full and happy. The ambience is old southern home, right down to the nostalgic narrow wooden staircase to the second floor. We sampled most of the recommended dishes. Some favorites included the fried green tomatoes and the cornbread for appetizers; the pork chops, fried chicken, and butcher steak for entrees; and all three desserts. ???? For me especially the chocolate-caramel and the banana pudding. The location is pretty great too, with a lot of nightlife right around the corner.By Spencer Kellis (7 months ago)The fried chicken was well cooked and the complimentary cornbread and biscuits were amazingly good! We had the liver appetizer dish, which was interesting yet tasty. Service was also great. I recommend making a reservation as it can be busy, especially on weekends, which is when we went.By Austin Fan (8 months ago)The restaurant is absolutely delicious! Come hungry, between the complimentary cornbread and biscuits, dinner, and dessert, you’ll be very full! We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, the goat cheese they are made with is on point. We also enjoyed the southern fried chicken and the shrimp and grits. The devils food cake dessert was good too, perfect for sharing – it was a little fluffy and not too heavy.By Cheyanne Farr (11 months ago)

Visited this place a few weeks ago for the first time and left with some mixed feelings.
Overall, the food was very good. We enjoyed everything that was ordered. Biggest gripe was the hair I found in my hashbrowns. Not even a small one. It was long and all tangled up in there. So that definitely killed my appetite.
Trying to get the server was an ordeal on top of that. Should it take 20-30 minutes to flag your waiter down? Probably not. He was either missing or tending to other tables with little attention given to us. It was steady, but definitely not crazy busy.
Got my meal remade/comped and took it to-go.
By Perry Ah (a year ago)It was a good experience, good food. The sauce with pork was delicious. Coffee was dark & good. Roti served with pork was super nice & crispy. Hippie vibe & old vintage style bistro. They charge 18% gratuity by default. Parking is right outside if u are lucky / early. It gets busy close to 10 am so be prepared to wait.By Deep Vadaliya (4 months ago)Okay so… not what I was expecting. This place far exceeded my ideas!
First, I went on a Wednesday morning at 10. Place was only half full so the parking was easy.
Second, our server Armando was the sweetest most chill server I’ve had. Very kind, courteous, and helpful.
Third, the vibe was great. Good music meets you at the door as you walk in. The aesthetic is homey with an eclectic feel. And the space was intimate (almost too intimate as I basically bumped into a guy coming out of the restroom – that was clean).
Finally, what really caught me was the flavor of the food! I thought it would be basic but to my surprise, the chef GOT DOWN! I ordered the shrimp and grits while my companion ordered the chicken and waffles (menu names I don’t remember). SO GOOD!!!
We stayed for a couple of hours after as this spot provide for a nice work-eat environment with free wifi.By Akilah Williams (7 months ago)We went to this brunch place on Saturday at 12PM. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated. The service was fast and excellent.Overall, the seasoning was at the perfect level. Not too salty, not too bland, and not too sweet. The balance is everything!
The sweet potato Belgian waffle was so chewy and fluffy. You can definitely taste the sweet potato and it was very satisfying. The fried chicken was well seasoned but a bit dry. I’m glad I chose to have the peach compote on the side because I didn’t want it all over my chicken.
The french toast was also fluffy and melting-in-your-mouth. So good! Brioche toast made it extra flavorful.
Despite I ordered the pimento cheese dip as an appetizer, all the food came out at the same time and I was little disappointed because I really wanted to enjoy it as the appetizer. I had a bite and took the rest home.
FYI, the orange juice has lots pulp, which I loved, but I know some people have different opinion.
By Mi Corazón (9 months ago)Brilliant lunch experience. Excellent customer service and food. The setting is amazing and loved the decor and natural light streaming into to restaurant. I love how the neighbourhood supports their local businesses and how all the businesses work together. Try the Kicked up grilled cheese, the Pimento cheese melt is incredible!By Petrus Opperman (7 months ago)

Food is excellent
Service is a bit lackluster but patience is worth the food. Not pricy but it adds up easily here I don’t particularly like that with breakfast food but the ingredients and fresh bread, the display and huge portions explains it all. Go with a friend and share it’s filling and fun to share here!!! Enjoyable eats! Bright dining!! The coffee gets thumbs down but have a bar drink.
By Danielle Russell (10 months ago)This is my third time visiting West Egg Cafe, and I can honestly say they have never disappointed me. The vibes are very chill, unlike most Atlanta brunch places. Our waitress was very sweet and straight-forward. We received our food in less than 15 minutes after ordering it. The food was delicious and left us feeling very full and happy.
West Egg Cafe may have the best mimosas in Atlanta. I am absolutely obsessed with their strawberry-pineapple mimosas.
I recommend eating there during the week or getting their before 10 on the weekends to avoid large crowds.
By Ameera Daboh (11 months ago)Always a great phenomenal breakfast every time eating here! They Got it! Good vibes always busy. Food comes out fresh n Fast! Love it. Consistency has been the same since 15” I’ve been coming here. TREAT YO SELF! Poetic Approved ???? ????????By PoeticChef (a week ago)Some exceptional items, some average items, long wait for service and food, nice atmosphere.Nice corner neighborhood location.
– Probably waited 30 min from sit down to food served on a not particularly crowded Saturday 11 am. (20 min wait to be seated). Staff seem stressed. Probably not enough people working that day.
– My 12 y.o. Son had the best meal: short rib hash. DELICIOUS! Grilled I onion and mushrooms in delicious sauce with medium cut potatoes and perfectly moist short ribs. Amazing!!
– My 16 y.o. had waffle, and it was probably the tastiest Belgium waffle I’ve had in my life. And I’ve been to Belgium. Crisp outside, soft, sweet inside. Righteous.
– Hubby and I had blue plate specials, each our own way. Nothing stood out. But if you want the basic bfast, no frills, this is it.
– Sour cream pancakes were disappointing. They aren’t bad. Just, nothing remarkable about them at all.Negative: Can’t add pancakes or waffles to a breakfast/can’t substitute potatoes out for it. Not one plate that has both eggs and pancakes/waffles. So this is where it becomes expensive. You have to buy the pancakes or waffles (short stack $6/waffle $8) as a whole separate meal if you want it with eggs.
By Tamara Ross (3 months ago)Overall, was fairly disappointed in this brunch spot. We had multiple simple, but important mess ups throughout our meal (hot latte vs the asked for iced, etc.). Let’s talk about the Shrimp and Grits. I’ve had them literally all over the US. These were the most basic I’ve ever had. Very disappointing to be “award winning”. Absolutely no spice or flavor in them. The fried green tomatoes were the highlight of the meal. I probably won’t return.By Lauren Hunt (2 months ago)
