This place may have been better if we didn’t wait an hour and a half to be seated (not their fault that they’re popular).
The mimosas were good and fried green tomatoes were bland but a good texture.

The gravy train southern skillet would’ve been amazing if the chicken wasn’t cold and dry. All of the components, separately, were good but because there were so many chicken strips it was what stood out most about the dish. It had potential.

Fortunately I was able to order take out being that it was a bit packed, looking like a long wait as well. Their Fried Green tomatoes (featured in Southern Living magazine) were incredibly delicious. Their Maryland Crab Soup(Featured on the food network Diner Drive Ins & Dives T.V. show) was impeccably delicious as well. Their Strawberry Lemonade was also very refreshing, tart and tasty. I tried their Spring into Summer Salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, feta etc and it was unique and filling. My kids enjoyed their strawberry pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes.Their staff were extremely tentative, hospitable and kind. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon! Keep up the great work and thank you!

The food was outstanding. We went the early so the wait wasn’t bad, I think we waited for 10 min. Definitely a pricey place but worth the money. Our waitress Karina was really nice. We had the Chicken and green cheddar waffles, The rice crispy cheesecake stuffed French toast and the kids had the kids box which was a lot and super delicious. Definitely recommend!

Food was really good! I went on a Wednesday. I was seated right away with no wait time. The food was really good! I loved the shrimp and grits and the pancakes! The hot spicy chicken deviled eggs were also very good! I would definitely eat here again!

Amazing food! Everything has so much flavor, even the butter on my waffle was like pepper infused?! It was amazing! I highly highly recommend the chicken and waffles. Amazing sauce on top of the chicken and perfect waffles. We came here after being at the aquarium all day and it was the perfect meal to end our perfect day!

Overall experience very fun brunch location, really enjoyed the outdoor dining. Food arrived hot and well cooked. If you want something different for breakfast then this is your place. I’m not a fan of all the mix and match breakfast items or the mixture of flavors but the food is over good. Drinks are delicious! Waiter Roy was really helpful and accommodating when I asked to return a dish I was not fond of, it was nothing wrong with the dish, just wasn’t for me. He gave me options to make the dish better and was very polite.

Me and my wife ate here for the first time on Wednesday for my birthday. Our waiter was exceptional and gave out great feedback on the food we asked him about. We started with the hot honey fried chicken deviled eggs and monkey bread, both were delicious. My only complaint about the monkey bread is some of the bread was tough, overall I would give it a 9.5 out of 10. We also had the strawberry orange juice which was delicious as well. For our meal we both went with peach cobbler french toast, it was very delicious and fulfilling. As with the monkey bread my only complaint is some parts of the French toast was tough. We both enjoyed our experience and will return again in the future.

    Great breakfast!

Service was awesome! Very friendly and attentive

My wife and I started with the hot honey chicken deviled eggs. Very good. Sauce has a bit of a kick to it! I went with the fried chicken biscuits and gravy omelet. It was delicious. Highly recommend. My wife went with the monthly French toast special. Very delicious too.

It’s higher end, higher quality breakfast food, so you do pay slightly higher for it. But it’s worth it.

I like Miss Shirley’s because the atmosphere is nice and the staff is always friendly and never bother you if you sit too long. It’s a great place for out of town guests for that reason. The food is always good, but sometimes I think the options can feel limited. I am not that big on breakfast food and the other options are definitely not low carb. 😁 However, the food is always fresh and delicious. It’s not a cheap place either, but like I say, nothing is nowadays. Nice place to go for Sunday brunch or lunch with your girlfriends. There is parking in the back which I always forget about.

I’ve been here so many times in the past but never wrote a review. Recently visited after a long hiatus and it was like finding a long lost friend. The banana chocolate pancakes were amazing. The shrimp and grits were superb. The monkey bread is an excellent group appetizer to share. I wouldn’t recommend the shepherd’s pie because it just doesn’t have a very traditional feel.

Eclectic doesn’t begin to describe this place. Had to wait almost an hour at noon on a Sunday… Not unexpected because we were a group of 9.

Once seated the service was really good, the staff pleasant and the menu extensive.

I had blueberry French toast over a vanilla custard, it was wonderful. Not overly sweet, not too much syrup not overloaded with blueberries…. Just right and a good size portion.

Two at the table had eggs Benedict, both loved them. Cooked well and served with really good home fries.

The last entree at our table was eggs over easy on a brioche roll with sausage gravy, which he really enjoyed.

We were seated as two groups so I can’t speak about other entrees but everyone seem to have enjoyed their food.

If you’re around 29th street in Baltimore give the dinner a try.

Love this place for breakfast and to bring out of town guests. Service is fast, room is tight. Decor speaks for itself.
Last visit I had the three egg breakfast which came with breakfast potatoes and one single slice of bread for toast. I’ve never seen a place serve, only a single piece of bread for toast. Especially having three eggs I should have had more toast.
I had a side of their pork sausage and it was good but I didn’t like that it had a hint of syrup.
My vegetarian wife had the tofu burrito. What you like except it was pretty spicy.

Awesome nostalgia overload! This dinner is so bright, so much fun. I spent so much time browsing the different toys and knickknacks. The staff was great, super attentive and quick. Menu has a little of everything and it all looked crazy good. I will definitely be back.

The uptown omelette was bigger than I expected and really good. They were able to sub the toast with the omelette for a pancake which was nice of them. The decor is so fun and intriguing. Kind of small inside but not super cramped. Service was quick and personable. Good prices. Ample parking. Worth a visit.

Easily one of my top 3 eateries! Had the steak omelet with mushrooms, onions, and havarti cheese. It came stuffed! Filled me up. The rye was toasted expertly, crunchy but not dry. And the breakfast potatoes… Just like mama and daddy used to make.
The atmosphere is homely; relaxed and fun. Tons of little retro and old school knickknacks everywhere that takes you back to simpler times when what toons were playing on Saturday was the only concern, and who you invited for game night was the only planning
Will absolutely return, no doubt! Got my eye on that bacon milkshake 😋

I’ve visited this location a handful of times and each time I have a slightly different experience..

I’ve had both great and not so great service here. All in all, it’s been alright and I’ve had more positive experiences than not.

The food is good! The bacon, you get free if you follow the restaurant on FB but, the bacon itself is not that great unfortunately.

I highly recommend the crab dip! I get it each time and it’s consistently good! The French toast meal comes with only one slice of French toast which is a bummer for the price. Also pictured are the breakfast egg rolls and cheese grits.. the grits were no good but the egg rolls were good.

Lastly, I do not recommend the pop tart. That being, it is advertised as a pop tart and I associate pop tarts with filling in the inside. The tart they offer is more so bread with icing and toppings. I was extremely disappointed and will not purchase again, ever.

Nice place. The chicken sandwich is awesome. Had the Mac and cheese as a side, very cheesy and tasty. Service was super nice . Troy was our server and she took the time to be sure we had everything and kept an eye out if we needed anything. Wonderful job. We also split one of their versions of a pop tart. We tried the cinnamon tart. wow.. really a nice treat. Ourdoor seating is nice. We arrived early but booked our table early.

I’ve been to Iron Rooster a handful of times and every time it is a solid experience, but never enough to excite me about going again. If you’re looking for this sort of elevated diner style/brunch food and Iron Rooster is in a good location then go! The service, food, and prices are all good but again, not outstanding. It is fun that they have a 7-10 am happy hour which had me drinking an early cocktail for the hell of it. I enjoy their pop tart knock off as well. Honestly, I’m really struggling to say much else. It’s like a better Dennys/IHOP.

Visited for the first time today Friday April 15th. Our server wasn’t the friendliest. Our order took a while to arrive but they were pretty busy for a Friday morning. Everything was delicious. Their homemade pop tarts were incredible. Overall I recommend giving them a try. Maybe go on a weekday morning! Also the bathrooms were gross and not kept up with.

Everything was phenomenal. Troy was our server and she was perfect (10 out of 10 experience) . The food was great (we ordered the egg roll, honey hot chicken sandwich, and the angry omelette. She made the experience great including her suggestions on meals. We will definitely be back and asking for her .

I went here for the first time recently. I went on a weekday, during brunch hours, so there wasn’t much traffic. Which was perfect. There is street parking for this area. It is in walking distance of a cute boardwalk, near the water.

Inside the restaurant is a bit small, but it is welcoming. There is one bathroom, that all patrons share. That is the only down side for me. The service was great. The server was very attentive and got everything right. The food was delicious. No complaints at all from anyone in my party. They made any alters and accommodations that we needed to our food that we ask. I would definitely eat here again.

I had the ‘Sin Roll French Toast’ and the ‘G&G Country Scramble.’

Starting with the French Toast. It was perfect. They take one of their homemade cinnamon rolls, batter and fry it like traditional french toast. No complaints here.

The G&G Country Scramble was good. And the picture doesn’t do it justice. There’s a lot there. A homemade biscuit topped with bacon eggs, sausage gravy and cheese and hash browns. With all of that I was expecting a bit more flavor. I did find myself needing to sprinkle a little salt and pepper.

The dining in feels a little silly at this point, I’m assuming due to covid so, you’re handed a bottled water and plastic utensils in plastic wrapping to get you started… The menu is also only accessible from a QR code on the table. I appreciate the efforts to reduce passing germs but in a small location like this it’s unavoidable really. I’d rather drink out of a glass cup and using plastic utensils presented a small extra obstacle when eating.

    Minor gripes.

    Food and service were great.
    Can’t wait to go back.

Edit: Went back the following morning for the famous Cap n Crunch French Toast. Totally worth it.

First time and DEFINITELY not the last time that I will be visiting. When you come in everyone is super nice, they have a waiting list but it goes by quickly because their customer service is next level. THE FREAKING food is WOW! I got the Sin Roll French Toast and I swear I wanted to cry because of how amazing it tasted. Shelly was our waitress and she was super attentive, hyper and ready to serve. I already told my friends and people that I know in the area to come by because WOW this is worth it! Check their menu, they have so many options and the portions are great!

I first came here 6+ years ago. It was packed and I couldn’t get a table. I came back later that evening to try it. It was worth it. I recently tried to go last week but they were closed for renovations. Did not realize Blue Moon Too existed.

    The Food:
Captain Crunch French Toast – This is the very famous and unique style of French toast everyone comes here to try. It’s definitely worth the hype.

Sweet Baby Jesus – This is simply the next best thing on the menu. You can’t go wrong with a glorious Eggs Benedict.

My overall impression was that this place was just ok. I thought some things were definitely overpriced such as the Cap n Crunch French toast. It was pretty good but I don’t think I want to spend another $20 again on it. They did have some other good food options that were reasonably priced and the portions were pretty big!
