  1. BEWARE! They are master’s of “Bait and Switch”, especially if your minor child goes in. She was to get no higher than a reconditioned Iphone 11. (Her phone wasn’t working and she needed one immediately while I was a work.) She had a budget of $300. She walks out with an brand new Iphone 14 for $800! They told her the 11 and 14 were the same price and it wouldn’t make sense to get a refurbished 11 since they are the same price! WHAT!? Now I get to waste my time going to the Forest Plaza Verizon to set things straight. So wrong on so many levels. Can’t call the store directly because they only have an 800# and they won’t give you a direct # to call. Great case for the Better Business Bureau. Stay tuned for an update.

  2. We recently had a big mixup with Verizon’s warehouse during a trade in event. We went to Verizon in Rockford, IL to get things figured out. We were initially told by one employee that there was nothing they could do, but then another employee came to the rescue. Kevin went above and beyond to help us. He spent a countless amount of time filling out papers and contacting the appropriate people to make things right. He even gave us his phone number so that we would not have to keep coming in to Verizon. Kevin Schumaker was professional,friendly, and kept in contact with us making the process as smooth as he could. I would highly recommend Kevin Schumaker.

Jason was able to make light work of what I thought was a hard to solve problem and made everything so simple. Absolutely fantastic guy and everyone should go to him with whatever help you would need with Verizon. Thanks again Jason

  4. Strongly recommend 1899 Perryville location. They open the door for you and provide exceptional service. Been a Verizon customer for nearly 10 years. Stopped by the state street location to get a new SIM card. Initially they showed an interest in helping me. The system didn’t allow them to. They proceeded to have me speak with customer care by phone for assistance. I provided ID and was told everything was fixed. After I informed the supervisor (Didn’t get her name but she had blond hair) at the store she struggled to activated the SIM card. She then gave me a number to call and said it would take 3 days to fix which seemed odd. Within minutes after calling the number I returned to the store for help and was advised to inform the call center rep to call the manager of the store because the manager refused to give the call center rep a SIM card number to use. The manager/supervisor answered the call and walked to a back room to speak to them which also seemed odd. Then returned to see if the rep spoke to me. At this point I began to feel racially profiled. I felt they had no intent on helping me solve what seemed to be a simple SIM card change. I then drove to the Perryville location and was greeted at the door by John. I explained the situation from the state street location. He made a quick phone call to a gentleman named Moe. They provided a new SIM card and activated the phone in minutes. Had I initially went to Perryville I would have saved an hour of my time. I look forward to upgrading my 3 lines with them instead of the state street mainly because they treated my like a loyal customer. I personally recommend having your upgrade done by the Perryville location. Their service made me feel appreciated.

  5. I went in to get my line switched from my parents to my own. I spent probably 10 minutes total talking with in person staff and 1 hour and 20 minutes talking on the phone with random support people trying to verify my identity. The Rockford staff were NOT helpful and what they were saying did not match up with what the over the phone representatives. That was the biggest waste of my time, and I am thinking of switching my phone company now because this was such a disgrace. I have been with Verizon for 9 years and never had this awful of an experience. DO NOT GO HERE.

    My husband and I had the best experience we’ve ever had upgrading our phones at this location. Airmis was amazing! Friendly, easy to talk to and very very knowledgeable! He’s hands down the best customer service representative! I can’t say enough good things about him! Thanks for a great experience!

    Kwamé was amazing. He was patient, knowledgeable, honest AND saved me money on my bill. Even with a lower bill, I walked out with two iPhone 14 Pros and two Apple Watches. (Yes, I know I’m still paying for them) He offered follow up support and made sure my phone was 100% set up and ready to go before I left. I cannot say enough about how positive my experience was.

    Trinity McClenthen is the pinnacle of what Verizon customer service should be. Go see her. She’ll treat you right. She’s very personable, she’s fast, efficient, and she does it right the first time. She resolved my issue in under five minutes. I was incredibly pleased with my experience, and she WILL be my go-to person at Verizon for as long as she works there.
