They help you with one small thing and then they won’t help you again when you need the help. They are not very helpful.

I have had the pleasure in my life to work with all the case managers at this city establishment.

They are all professional and very good at what they do. A true essence of Cornwall”a finest.

I would like to personally thank all of you for being in my corner when nobody else was.

We are lucky in Cornwall Ontario to have programs and people like this.

They have got me through some of the toughest times of my life.

I simply would like to thank all of you for doing what you do day in and day out.

And to my worker never forget that you are the future of your trade and you have taught me things that will last a lifetime. A voice for choice.

Peace, Love and prosperity to all. The game changers of Cornwall City.

I feel as though the location of this Ontario Works (OW) office which shares the building with the local Police Station, can and should be considered a form of an indirectly discriminative choice of location.

Capiophobia is an intense fear of getting arrested even if for no apparent reason.  This phobia may or may not have been caused by any personal, perceived or witnessed interactions with police. Some symptoms include trembling, shaking, loss of control, anxiety, and sometimes have a panic attack when encountering police.

This debilitating fear of being arrested (for whatever reason) will have people to anything they can to avoid any triggers like: encountering police, being close to a parked cop car, officer and/or police station.

So imagine if a person was being forced (under the threat of not receiving social works) to go into the same building for a meeting with their worker, but then they discover that is shared with the police station.

Everyone has a right not to be treated less favourably, or subjected to an unfair disadvantage, by reason of a protected characteristic.

I wonder how many people have been arrested while entering, inside of or leaving a mandatory meeting with their worker?

    Bad location ????

They make quick appointments and try to solve their problems carefully. The quality and service of the institution is excellent!

They fail to give you details if they change your caseworker so you’re stuck not being able to contact whoever your new caseworker is. They also don’t let you know ahead of time if your file was suspended for whatever reason. They don’t warn you if they decide you won’t be getting your cheque that month even though they know people are depending on this money. They’re very disorganized, lose important documents you’ve given them and most of the time the receptionist isn’t very friendly.

I had an outstanding experience with Job Zone in Cornwall! As a newcomer to Canada, finding both a job and suitable daycare for my son presented unique challenges. The friendly and professional staff at Job Zone not only helped me secure my first job but went above and beyond by assisting me in finding a daycare during the summertime for my son.

I was struggling to find a career oriented course, since I arrived in Canada. In my first meeting “Job Zone” counsellors gave me proper advice and guided me to the useful course. I am enjoying “Office Assistant Program” and I will highly recommend Job Zone for consultation. All staff is highly professional and well mannered. I will definitely try for some other courses in future if time allows 🙂 Thanks “Job Zone deEmploi”

Job Zone is a true saviour.

It has been three months to Canada. I came in summer. As a result, neither I hardly had any items for winters that could keep me warm nor I had any idea what to purchase from where. Moreover, I walk in the town everyday to my workplace and for other job hunts. I was literally freezing everyday.

I went to Job Zone, narrated the story to the Counselor (Enza Ceasar) with the situations I was facing and the phase I was going through. The Counselor understood my feelings with true heart, analysed the possible solution and supported me with a survivor kit (necessary winter items).

I feel blessed to have such non-profit organizations in Canada. They make me believe that humanity is still alive on this planet.

Thank you Job Zone. By God’s grace, I will pay you back one day.
