They help to provide bus passes if needed, help pay bills and rent if you need it, they even gave me a little extra while I was breastfeeding my youngest.a year agoTrying to find somewhere to park just so i can sign some papers. I called and the front desk said “right across the road is where guests park, the workers park in the paid lot” I go into the lot she describes and all I see in there are vehicles of workers, all of which had parking passes and all parked in the Guest Parking lot. Had to park down the road a couple blocks in a free lot because the lot nearby was a paid lot and the ticket reader was walking through. Why are workers parked in the guest lot? It was totally fall. Couldn’t be that many guest there at 8:32am5 years agoVery very bad service! Conversation went as follows: -“Hi sorry I just called a minute ago and I just wanted to make sure that my file wasn’t on hold or suspended.” -“Well what’s your name?” -“Oh sorry, Olivia. I just called a second ago.’ -“Well I just told you that it went direct deposit, did I not?!’ -“…uh,well yes. But I just wanted to make sure that my file was okay. But thank you anyways, you don’t have to be rude. Bye.” And I’m pretty sure she hung up on me as soon as I said thank you. And these are the type of people I have to rely on for help and information? I hope to get off of this program soon. Terrible service. Most of these people are just so rude and condescending. And I could say so much more but Im not. Worst service I’ve ever received from a social service facility.4 years agoTerrible staff and never enough people up front to assist clients especially at end of months when cheques come out. Wait time can be up to almost an hour or hour and a half depending on the amount of people and time you go in on. Also wait times for scheduled appointments are a laughing joke as people also have busy lifestyle and the case managers take there sweet time. In some cases your waiting about 30 minutes in order for them to come down one floor to meet you. So for this I’m only eating one star as the services needs extreme improvement before I change any eating on this place. But it is a place to get assistance monthly if they decide to accept you but always remeber to jump through there invisible hoops or you will be suspended or cut off. They like to be sly and tricky like that as well as make up things to purposely make your life hell.5 years agoOntario Works is a very helpful community service. The workers are friendly & knowledgeable about what services & help they can offer. The wait time is very minimal for the load the workers are given. I love that your given help no matter if you walk in or have an appointment. If your down on your luck & having a hard time the workers make you feel as if they really care.

3 months agoIf you’re renewing your passport go early when they open to get the fastest service and avoid waiting because it’s first come first service.Have your photos taken and forms filled out before going to make your and everyone else’s lives easier. Friendly and efficient staff with get you in and out as fast as possible.
Kinda of a crock you have to pay go park here considering the absurd amount of taxes we pay, as well as all these renewal costs.

Officer Allyson was very Friendly and went above and beyond to help my queries!6 months ago*Passport photos are not done on site* Some of the staff were very helpful and friendly. However, one female staff made rude comments about the appearance of a person’s passport photo – not very professional. I was told by the excellent clerk Sam that this was not behavior that he engages in which was reassuring.a month agoTurned away at 3pm because they said were too busy and closed at 4. Waiting room was not that full…..lady was nice about it all though. Maybe had appointments as well. Who knowsa year agoCovid protocols are still a bit intense (and unnecessary). Giving away N95 masks to every person who comes in without a mask (which is everyone now), is a waste of money. Staff however was polite and efficient. Service was good. Protocols didn’t need to be that rigid.
