The computers are a joke. MS Word continually crashes, the computer wouldn’t let me in to Ziprecruiter to apply for a job, no one was at the help desk in the computer room to give me the code to print my resume and now my computer has crashed. I will not be recommending or using this place again.

Just tried to book an appointment for my spouse to get a resume done and to help find work, he has a great work ethic when doing the job and will do any job and never miss a day. But picking up a phone nope. But she made it clear he had to call she wouldn’t book him. He would show up if booked for an appointment but making the appointment in that sense he’s lazy so thanks for not letting me book my spouse an appointment. His ei runs out in 2 months.

Hi there, I appreciate you taking the time to read my review for restart. I moved back to kingston april of 2022. I knew my immediate goal was to secure employment. Although I was not sure how I would go about achieving this goal. I was laying in bed one night looking through the classifieds app (kijiji) on my phone. I was looking for temporary jobs that would help support me, while I take the time to plan how I’m going to achieve my goal of employment. When I came across a posting for Restarts program called Youth Job Connect. I immediately called the restart contact number the next day. As I wanted to get into this program as soon as possible. I spoke to a wonderful lady named Sherrie that day. She went above & beyond and helped me complete the application. She helped me overcome the obstacles that I was facing that prevented me from attending this said youth job connect program. She also informed me I was an ‘ideal fit’ for the Yjc (youth job connect program).

I started the yjc program just a few days later. I was hesitant and anxious at first because I have used a couple of employment services in the past with no support from staff and never achieving my goal of employment through the ‘supports they offer’. I’ll be honest though, that hesitation and anxiety faded by the third day of doing the yjc program. I’m a good read of character and I can honestly tell you that Sherrie and the Restart staff do care about you and want you to achieve your goals. The perfect example of their character is that the yjc has ‘job developers’ that help you secure a placement. I wasn’t having the best time with my job developer. She and I are just two different puzzle pieces that won’t go together.

Instead of forcing us to work together. The Restart Manager took the time to privately call me. She listened to me and cared enough to respect my decision and feelings. They took the time to get me another ‘job developer’. This new job developer Terry is an awesome dude. He seems to love his job and always has a happy attitude. Our puzzle pieces fit very well with mine which ensured success in the yjc program. The manager even took notes and agreed to give the original ‘job developer’ anonymous constructive criticism.

I am now on my last day of the three week yjc program and I have learned so much at yjc program. I can honestly say through the support of the yjc program, Sherrie, and the staff at restart. I have been able to achieve multiple goals and overcome so many obstacles to employment. I have been able to learn about life skills, Resumes, Working, Workers Rights, Community support and a plethora of other knowledge. In the next little while I will be employed, which is shocking to me. All of which wouldn’t have been possible without the yjc program and the extravagant staff they have. If you are any age go to restart. See what help they can offer. I honestly feel that anyone who goes to restart and actually is committed to employment will achieve their goals.

Thanks for listening to my review. Have a good day ~A

A great place to start a new career. Whether looking for employment, help with your resume or insight on how to conduct yourself in an interview, ReStart is the place to begin. I was fortunate to work with Michaela who always met me with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. From the first meeting I knew she had my best interests in mind, obtaining all of the relevant information to better assist her all the while informing me of what ReStart is, does and how we plan to succeed in finding employment. Thankfully I was able to find work quickly with Michaela’s assistance, not only this but keeping me optimistic that it would only be a matter of time before I found a job made the whole period of being out of work that bit less painful. As I opened up with, this is a great place to start a career. Thanks Michaela

Restart was the first employment agency I tried, and they didn’t leave me empty-handed. They provided me with the excellent service I signed up for. They reassured me and restored my self-confidence. I was contacted by two companies, within a week (in the profession I studied for), and another in two weeks (in another filed). Both very great job offers. I want to thank Sherrie and the crew for all their hard work! Restart is the place to go 🙂

Sent our staff for a training course, submitted the required paper work, the person reviewing was out of office and seems our application sat in limbo, even though we thought it was received. Next correspondence was that the application was denied. No assistance or guidance from KEYES in between the submission to the denial of the application Does someone cover when there is a person out of office? Pretty disappointed
