  I was searching for a new barber in the Austin area and even though this location was on the opposite side of the city for me, it was WELL worth it!!

  I paid for The Ten Year haircut for first-timers, added on a nose wax (highly recommend!), and tip under $70.

  For non-locals, this price may sound steep but I was paying around the same price elsewhere in town without the amount of detail and service offers. 10/10 recommend booking with Katie J!

  This is the best concept I’ve encountered for a men’s stylist. The fact that I can get a haircut AND a cocktail at the same time… spectacular!
  In all honesty, the bar is so good I’d go regardless of whether I needed a haircut.
  But the haircut! My goodness!
  Melissa is spectacular. Easily the best stylist I’ve had in years!

  First time visiting Scissors & Scotch and it was great! Lauren really took her time to make sure that my haircut turned out well and the rinse/wash and hot towel afterwards was a really nice touch. Plus, she did a great job of shaving the back of my neck too; it was a closer shave than some of the other places I’ve been to in the past. This is definitely my new haircut place!

  Incredible experience! Scottie was hilarious and kept me entertained throughout the entire cut. I love the concept of the attached bar to have a cocktail while you wait (or after your haircut) and the benefits of a membership. It’s definitely my new favorite place to get a haircut in Austin.

  It’s good. Staffs nice and reasonably talented. This spot has the same overall problem as a ton of other great rooms in Austin. The place advertises itself as a barber shop but doesn’t have but 1 barber on staff. All the same its a nice place and I would go again.

  I have been coming to The Gents Place in Austin for about 2 years now. So why am I just now writing a review, sometimes when you have great service, you forget to give shoutouts to those spectacular people; that’s the case for The Gents Place. I mean clearly being a member for 2 years tells you I like the place and keep coming back! Special shoutout to my stylist Shannon who has been with me, trying to make me look good, from the very beginning! I selfishly don’t want you to see her because her schedule fills up. : ) I enjoy the luxury of The Gents Place and it’s where I treat myself.   The manicure and pedicure services are bar none the best I’ve ever had. Services are performed in a private room where I can watch sports TV. Do not go where your wife or girlfriend gets her pedi/mani, this place caters to men only. They also provide haircuts, spa facials and hair color services. You can even purchase upper end colognes while sipping on a courtesy cocktail. A 5 star recommend!

  Awesome place. For once, Facebook’s spying came in handy. I was looking for a great place to get a straight-razor head shave (oddly hard to find), and I was shown an invite to try this place out.

  Paul, the owner, did a great job on my shoes. I was not expecting the complementary shoe shine. Very nice.

  Angel did an awesome job on my head shave and beard trim/clean-up.

  The atmosphere is amazing, it would be a great place to just hang out. Local artist’s work displayed on the walls. Great music playing (everything from Dean Martin to Pink Floyd). The prices are fair for what you receive, and you get free drinks on top of it. 🙂

  Finally found a place to get shaved.

  An amazing stylist that works there named Elizabeth D. is the best. I’ve been going to her for years! I walked in one day, and said make me beautiful, and she has ever since. She made me more confident with her skills. I just wish you could see in person as my terrible photography skills don’t do it justice. One I literally took accidentally when picking up the phone I just dropped under the truck. Lol. Book in advance as the good ones stay busy!

  one word is DISAPPOINTED!!! I have been to this place (Domain location) 2 times so far and honestly It was awesome. I got a great stylist(Kiandra). She would understand what I need and give me the perfect haircut and do my beard. I was happy with the service, price, all of it and then everything changed. I had a scheduled appointment on the 15th of July and got a reminder message on my phone. I called them up and left a voicemail to inform that I won’t be able to come in as I’m driving out of state. They still charged my card by saying ’no show’. I called them and asked about it and was told that they’ll look into it and their manager is going to call me back. No one called back, so I called them back and spoke to the manager and his response was “we see that you attempted to call us yesterday but there’s no voicemail”. We have a no refund policy and all I can do is offer you a 50% discount on your next visit. when I told the guy that I’m moving out of state!! I’m not coming back, he says well there’s nothing much we can do here. Good day! all for $38. How can anybody prove that they left a voicemail? and why would anyone attempt to call unless they want to change, cancel or reschedule their appointment? Anyways, I see they also are in Phoenix too but I ain’t going back again!!

  I live in Domain and this salon is in Domain too. I’ve been there just one time and never again. I call them for reservation and they booked me for a 20 min and their service was just regular very quick and with no mercy even they couldn’t cut as I wanted. You can feel that they just focus your money. In a nutshell, very expensive low and regular service!!!

  Horrible Service. The quality of barbers has gone down from what it was before, even an year ago. The barber gave a bad haircut, ignoring the instructions and then didn’t offer any remedy for course correction. On top of that, due to the time window, she didn’t provide a wash. Upon checkout, she said they only have a card option even though I had checked if a cash option was available. She then had the gall to ask for a higher tip. If you’re going there, check if the barber is a new one/trainee vs an established person with years of training.
