My husband has been going to Whiskers for years and the stylists always do a great job. I recently started taking my 2 boys (currently ages 11 and 8) and they have had the best experience. The stylists are great with them even though they are kids and the cuts are fantastic. The salon is clean and neat. The entire staff is friendly. The salon seems to be efficient and well run and rarely do we wait.By Charlene Ross (3 months ago)I’ve been going to Whiskers monthly, starting this year (written in June 2022). They consistently do a great job. I have normally booked with Stacey but booked with Jessa today since I needed someone sooner and I forget to book early. Would highly recommend both of them! They offer great suggestions (I really never know what to do with my hair) and are really friendly, personable, and accommodating. The atmosphere at Whisker’s is really easygoing. The front desk staff are kind and efficient. The waiting area is nice, though I’ve never had to sit there for long. Highly recommend this place for a good quality experience and service at a reasonable price.By Jared (7 months ago)Good barbers are really good, but the bad ones are so bad, that it’s not worth taking a gamble. With the bad ones you’d be better off at great clips.
I have been to Whiskers over 30 times. If you can find a stylist that does a good haircut, keep him/her and never switch them up. DO NOT expect everyone there to have the same caliber hair cutting abilities. Some of their barbers/stylists (Amber in my case) are truly outstanding. They give great cuts, and they are genuinely nice people. Other stylists on the other hand, which I have had to get in 3 separate occasions now because the good people are always booked up, are quite honestly horrible at giving the simplest of haircuts. The great stylists are well worth the high price you pay there. But the bad stylists have swung the pendulum so hard for me that I honestly can’t recommend this place to anyone that wants a consistent haircut.
By Federico Garcia (a month ago)This is what a barber shop should be. I was able to sit in a “”comfortable”” chair and have a beer while I waited. Yes, I got there early so I had a little time. Everyone I talked with from the staff was friendly and welcoming. Jessa was awesome (even though she’s a damn Yankee) and made some great suggestions and changes to my beard and hair. She noticed my discomfort in my neck and shoulder (pinched nerve) when washing my hair and managed to hit just the right spot when massaging my neck to make it better. I liked the atmosphere so much I decided to stay and have my second beer after it was over. We discussed what I wanted and she proceeded to do a fantastic job. This was my first time having the straight razor shave. I was very relaxed the whole time. I enjoyed the conversation as well. Was at 3 other shops before I found my home and nobody has done a better job than my current barber. J owns the shop and cuts my hair but Ive seen just how talented the rest of the crew are and would without hesitation change chairs if he were out. For my lighter brethren still going to going Sports Clips, they cut all types of hair at Fade Factory 256. Calling the shop and making an appointment are your two best options because of how busy they can get but take your chance on a walk in if you must. Better to wait than get a mediocre cut elsewhere.By Quincy Ward (11 months ago)As a LEO, it’s hard to find time to get a solid hair cut. Time is very limited, even off duty. Today, I called into Fade Factory 256 asking about walk-ins where I was given a thumbs up, I then told the gentleman I was on the phone with that I was an on duty Law Enforcement Officer and asked if it was okay if I came and got my hair cut. (Some people have mixed emotions about having Cops in their business and that’s something I 100% understand) I was told that it was perfectly fine. I walked into a Fade Factory 256 in uniform and was amazed at the welcome that I was given. The barber, John Logan, is a mountain of a man who’s quite intimidating but the professionalism and respect that he showed tells me that he not only takes pride in his profession but he also takes pride in taking care of his customers/clients. It’s not easy cutting my hair but I was blown away at the fade this man did. If you are in the Huntsville area and need a Barber to take care of you, go see Mr. Logan. I didn’t get service when I visited but The Fade Factory Staff allowed us to sanitize our hands. They have a very welcoming area. Nice smiling faces. I didn’t need a cut but whenever I do I will come back. A gem of a place centrally located but tucked away neatly. I loved it here made me want to come back. Since it’s getting colder and I’m tired of wearing baseball caps, I decided to grow my hair long enough to get a decent fade.
I have a huge head with a lot of real estate and skin fades don’t always look so good on me, so I requested a medium fade.
