What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Been here twice, the first time they did such an amazing job I was shocked, my car hadn’t been that clean since I bought it from the dealer. This time left much to be desired. I preemptively tipped 57% to be generous after my last experience, but I wish I could take it back after seeing my car. I paid extra for an upgraded wash and which turned out to be a huge waste. Hand washed wheels? Doubt it. Interior was still dirty everywhere. I’ll probably go back again hoping to give them one more shot. I imagine if I had a luxury vehicle instead of my humble sedan, they wouldn’t have been so careless.

  2. My family and I have been using classic car wash for many years. I recently moved back into town after going away for college and was excited to have my car cleaned there once more. I paid for the premium wash and added ceramic wax, about $53.

They were definitely fast but my car was just as filthy after as it was before. The vacuuming was absolutely terrible, it honestly looked like they maybe did a 30 second pass. The outside of the car was also still very dirty, however the car was very dirty to begin with so I was more forgiving there.

Later in the day, I noticed a scratch on the inside of my windshield. I rubbed it with my fingernail and it definitely felt like a scratch. Our best guess is someone with a wedding ring wiping the dashboard? We returned to the car wash, same day, waited about 5-7 minutes for the manager to come out and take a look. It was the most abrupt unprofessional interaction. He barely said 3 words to us, scrubbed on the windshield with his damp rag and told us it was just sticker residue. He didn’t bother hearing any other concerns or even hear the entire story. I was really shocked and even more disappointed. Whatever he polished the windshield with “removed” the scratch. Maybe I was wrong and it wasn’t a scratch, that would be awesome. Or he just placed some polish there to fill it with his rag, time will tell. One thing is for certain, he was not at all attempting to obtain any customer retention.

I will not be returning to classic car wash. I have told all of my family, who will also not be returning. I will continue to tell as many people as I can so this lack of professionalism and generally terrible work can be addressed by the owner. I paid $3 at a self service carwash and vacuumed my car 100% better than their $53 service, that is very sad.
There are many reviews echoing mine in the last few months, the business needs to re-evaluate their priorities and how they want to be known in the community.

  3. We’ve been coming here for a few years now and over the past several months have seen a pretty significant decline in quality of service. Today my husband went in to have our SUV detailed as we are expecting a new baby soon. $50 for a wash and vacuum and they must have just wiped the interior down with dry rags because there was still dirt/smudges everywhere- on the seats as well as a coffee drip on the side of the center console. Really disappointed and probably won’t be coming back again.

  4. I would recommend you skip this carwash unless you want service and support like I experienced two weeks ago. I had an exterior cleaning as well as an interior steam clean. I was told my car was ready and I was good to go. I looked inside and saw that the steam cleaning had stripped the lining on the steering wheel, door panel, and the buttons on the arm rest. No one notified me of this. When I asked the person who performed the service, he asked me to talk to the supervisor. The supervisor shrugged his shoulders, made excuses and was not helpful in resolving the issue. I asked him to take my information and have the owner contact me. He said the owner would contact me in one to two days. Two weeks later the owner hasn’t contacted me. I went to the car wash to follow up and another person took my information and put it in the file with the other incidence reports. I asked her when the owner comes in. And she said all the time. So the owner hasn’t reviewed these reports or bothered to follow up with me. I asked her if we could contact the owner and she said no. I can’t imaging running a business this way. Very disappointing.

  5. I’m giving 2 stars cause I went yesterday and I got the cheapest wash. I was upset with the results and went back. The manager did explain that due to leather sears it would mess then up if they just took a wet towel to it. But I specifically asked for the cup holder to be cleaned and the guy servicing the car said yes well it was not done. So on top of that I bought a airfreshner and it had no smell. They tried to give me back less than I paid

I like that if you use a card they charge literally by the minute. I hustled a d washed the exterior of my full size work truck and it only cost $4.75

I’d avoid. It maxed my time out at 25 dollars and I tried to stop the machine at 12 minutes. So doubled the amount of time and $ that I used. No one is on the other side of the phone number to help you. Scam

Great location. Able to use any type or credit card as well as cash. Always has the correct fluids and cleaners available and all for a reasonable price.

Absolutely the worst carwash I have ever been to. First off it only gives you tokens for your money and that’s a scam In itself and second it takes five dollars to even start the pump and for only five minutes. And the third is no water pressure and cheap soap! This place is run down and old. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this car wash. Don’t waste your time or money go to the one up the street. This place is a hole in the wall.

1 Minute per Dollar seems too much but with this economy I understand.

Plenty of room in the stalls, reasonable pricing. Area to vacuum and dry your car or you can use the new hot air dry feature.

I can’t find a good, quality hand car wash service in Napa. I refuse to put my car through a machine wash. I can’t find a reliable mobile car wash service that will come to my home just to do a basic car wash, vacuum the interior, wipe the dash board & windows. Most mobile services I spoke to will only come to your home if you have your car detailed. One company wouldn’t come out because I only wanted service on a single car.

So, I decided to go to Napa Self Service to power wash & soap my car ONLY. NSS offers other washing services like waxing & other stuff. I don’t buy any of their additional services. I will wax/polish, clean/dress my wheels, & clean the interior of my car at home. If you just soap & power spray your car, it will cost you less than $10. I plan to use NSS every other month to keep my car looking decent. And, I will have my car professionally detailed once a year. I find this works for me.

My first visit to NSS today, it appeared to me this place DOESN’T employ an employee on its premise to oversee operations. So, if you have a problem with their equipment or the order/pay machine, there’s NO employee to assist you. So you’re just outta luck, I guess? Also, I pre-read reviews of NSS & found complaints by a few people who were overcharged when using their credit card. So today, I simply brought a lot of quarters & did not use my credit card.

I will continue to use NSS until I find an acceptable hand car wash service in Napa. Remember! Bring your quarters! ????

I enjoy going here one of the only places that has a credit card machine in each stall.so no need to carry 4,000 quarters around with you. All the selectors work, the water pressure is good and has 4 stalls for vacuuming.

The self serve car wash is out dated. The brush’s you use with which the soap is dispensed need to be replaced, the water pressure is not strong enough, the clear coat wax leaves a whitish residue on the car. I would not recommend this car wash.

If you need a quick splash to get off the remains of your road trip or maintain your shine, or get her clean and then detail yourself inside and out, yup, good place. If you get into the details, the quarters can add up, you may be happier with a not do it yourself alternative. For what is, it’s thumbs up. Well maintained, everything works. Pleasant experience. For quick convenience, I keep going back. I make it a game, how quickly can I get er done. Good clean fun. Busy Saturday am, duh.
