Staff was friendly, the store was set up pretty well, everything seemed well organized, and the pricing was what you normally expect from Kroger. I expected a spike because it’s a tourist area, but I guess not! This store met expectations. Didn’t go above and beyond, but it didn’t fall short. Pretty good experience here.
We stopped by Sunday late afternoon at 5:45 for a few snacks. The whole place looked ransacked, almost like going out of business. No salads, no cooked foods, nothing left in the store. Lots of empty shelves. Massive lines , with people looking confused. Not enough cashiers. I asked an employee if store is closing early Sunday. He said no, they close at 2300. Store looked dirty and dingy. We placed back the few items we were trying to buy and we just left. My first time at a Kroger and probably my last.
Not as nice as a Publix. Friendly staff, organization is done well enough, and the store was clean.
It’s nice to have a good quality grocery store while traveling. This Kroger did not raise prices just because it’s a tourist town. They have good quality produce, deli meat and cheese (Boar’s Head), and a butcher block. This is a larger store with lots of options.
This is my all time favorite Kroger to shop for my needs. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Since we live in a tourist area this store is busier than most Kroger’s are so if you are in a hurry you may be a little inconvenienced at the checkouts. Just be patient and remember somewhere you will be a tourist also taking advantage of someone else’s favorite store to shop.
