It is convenient for those who are staying nearby.By Endro Sunarso (4 months ago)If you run out of food supplies in Iskandar, Medini or just nearby where you are staying, this IS the place to go. It is basically a “warehouse” retailer with both dry and wet food ingredients. The prices are reasonable and the more you buy(bulk), the cheaper it gets. Six years ago when it first started, it was teeming with fresh produce and live seafood. But with the pandemic and an almost diminishing buying power, most of its best and high quality stocks are no longer in supply. Short of staff most of the time, only one out of five cashier counters operate and they charge RM0.20 for a plastic bag which is so thin it breaks when you put anything heavier than 1.5kg of items in there. Well stocked supermarket with even some Waitrose items, including alcohol. Opening hours are good, 830am to 10pm. But note the restaurant closes at 8 or 830pm, definately closed by 9pm. Good selection of local and foreign items on sale here. The store is neat, clean and easy to explore although the aisle are quite narrow. The price is slightly on the upper end especially with the imported items. But if you want variety and quality, you can usually find it here.
Quite expensive compared to other grocery shop. Well organised. Very clean, neat and tidy.
Nice place to buy stuff. The only two problems is that it is a little expensive and why go to citrine when there is big box just nearby. Big box is much bigger and have more stores. But, it still provides you with what you need. Utensils, food, etc.
My absolute go-to for fresh produce and imported goods. The seafood and poultry sold here are probably the freshest ones in the area, while the vegetables can be a tad bit expensive if you’re not too particular about quality. All the aisles are well stocked with a great variety of both local and imported goods.
