  I was visiting from out of town and Andrew was my barber. Andrew did an amazing job and I rate Andrew 5/5. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations with him and he did a great job cutting my hair.

  Andrew is the only reason I am not giving this business 1 star. Unfortunately, my overall experience was not pleasant.

  I walked into the shop and there was no one at the front desk which is ok because everyone was busy. Lauren (manager) was at the front door working on something with the door. Since no one said anything when I walked in, I proceed to head towards the couch. It was then that Lauren told me that I needed to check in at the front desk with Monique.

  I informed her I checked in online (my previous barber shop only required check in at the desk if you were a walk in so I incorrectly assumed making an appointment online was the same as checking in).

  It was then that Lauren (manager) very sarcastically stated, “Oh wowwwww. I’ve never heard of anyone checking in online before. I didn’t know that was possible.”

  I apologized to her and told her that this was my first time here. I checked in with Monique and she was nice and respectful.

  However, my experience with Lauren set off the vibe completely. It is unfortunate to see this is how a manager treats their customers when they walk in, especially when it is their first time. I was very unhappy with the experience and will not do business here anymore.

  If you want a good haircut, go ahead and go here but don’t expect good customer service from the manager.

  Never had a bad cut here. Everyone is friendly and the place is very clean. You can view your favorite barbers schedule through the companies website so making appointments are a breeze. Tip in cash, but they also take venmo incase you left your wallet at home or something.

  Easy online scheduling. Their space is clean/ bright. I worked with Taras but it seems like you could choose any barber there and end up with a solid cut. Only downside is that parking around there can be a little hard, so make sure you account for that

  I’ve been coming to Barbershop Denim since I’ve moved to Philly in 2016. I’ve tried other places in Center City, but have kept coming back here. It’s a fun, lively environment, and have enjoyed chatting while getting my hair cut with a cup of coffee or a beer. Chris has advised my on my hair cuts through different hair lengths and with or without a beard for years now and always feel safe putting my hairstyle in his hands!

  Great place. I’ve been getting my hair cut here for a year and a half now, usually by Keith. He pays attention to the details and always gives the cut I’m looking for. The shop is immaculate and the energy is upbeat. It’s the place to go if you want consistent quality in an easygoing atmosphere.

  I’m new to Philadelphia and needed a quick haircut. I was able to get in same-day. Jason, who works the front desk, gave me a quick call to confirm and offered a drink on arrival. Cut by Aryah. She and the other staff were extremely friendly, good conversation, great cut that was exactly what I asked for. Waiting area is relaxing and comfortable — though a little tight if multiple people are waiting. Shop is cash only but ATM ($2 fee) is in the back. Overall, very pleased. Will definitely be back.

  First time there and it was a great experience. I moved last year pre pandemic and never got a chance to find a new barber shop after going to the same one for years. Diana did an amazing job of giving me a great looking cut while also starting the process of fixing some issues that came from diy cuts over the last year. She explained how she styled my hair and made sure I was happy with how it came out. Will 100% be back and would recommend this shop to anyone.
