What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. The configuration was confusing at first. It’s always crowded, so be aware. The staff was great. Very helpful. Just be warned if you pack your shopping cart the way you like it once you get to the cashier. They will put it the way they like it. It’s a great way to get a bundle of merchandise so you don’t run out for a while.

  2. This Costco has been on a steady decline for the past couple years.
Seems like all the good items that you like get discontinued. They are constantly rearranging items in the store. To top it off, the staff has really become disgruntled and rude.
The assisted self check out has turned, full self check out where they require you to take items out of the cart. I personally go to the checker so they can take the stuff out since I’m paying I want them to do the work.
The the staff used to be very nice and attentive, but I’ve noticed them really getting lackadaisical and uncaring that you are a customer paying for goods. This even applies to the person putting the items back in the cart, one guy tossed my bananas in the cart as if they were a ragdoll. I guess he did not think that I really wanted to eat those because they were bad when I got home. Luckily, Costco has a good return policy.
I recently visited a Costco in another state while I was traveling for business. I thought I’d stroll through and see how different the Costco was to the one that I shop at. I was shocked at how nice the Costco was, they even had the items I liked that were discontinued at the Durham Costco.
This place obviously makes a ton of money because it is always packed, but that is no excuse for cutting the selection of items and poor customer service.

  3. It’s fine, but I’m not happy with the recent change of no longer allowing staff to help scanning at the self-check out station.

What’s the point of taking everything out and then putting them back since we used to have staff coming over with a scanner?

The one process that could have been done in 2 minutes now take 6 or more, and what about seniors that have trouble lifting?

I guess the genius that made this change never has to go for groceries themselves.

  4. Easy to get in and out. Checkout lines took awhile. They should have more local gift cards.

Oh and everyone is just rude.

  5. Good place to shop, clean store and organized. Parking is always crowdedand getting into it can be a nightmare. Try get there early morning or late evening when they are about to close.
