What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Overall the food very delicious, the place is comfy with retro look. Price also reasonable with big portion, so if u have 6 family member including children, just order 4 set is enough. Better book before come, just search for phone number. Lot of people come here.

  2. Food were good. I don’t eat both patin & tempoyak, so I ordered ayam kampung with kuah lemak. The ayam taste good, combined with kuah masak lemak, really was satisfying. For the patin dishes, my husband said it was good. The western dishes were also just moderate. Staffs were great, only waiting time was quite long (45mins for me). Maybe because of the high number of customers that night. Price was a bit high though. The ambience was great, with all traditional Malay decorations. Overall satisfactory.

  3. It was such a great experience with an amazing variety of food! I loved how they packaged it up so it would be easier to order for people who are not so familiar of the food and combinations. Would definitely recommend to visit this place!

  4. If you want kg style and Pahang signature dish Patin Tempoyak I think this is the best.. Great ambience n the service is excellent… you need to come early as the place gets packed during dinner time..

  5. What can be said about this place that haven’t been said yet? The food matches up the hype, the patin fish is fresh and succulent and the kuah is superb. The only tip I can give if you’re coming with parties of 3 and above is to come early and expect a little bit of wait after 7.30pm, or come during off peak hours (can be checked in this Google map listing). I believe they are doing their best to serve you quickly.

Very wide variety. Not enough seating space for the number of dishes provided, but everyone seems to understand to not dally too much and move on quickly so new customers can sit down for their meal. Confusing system if here for the first time as there is no signage and no staff to guide on the flow. Not much order either. Just walk up to the bamboo dish and paper, add rice to your desire, take however many different dishes you’d like. Grab a drink if you’d like. Most items have their prices displayed. Find a seat. At some point, a staff member will come up to calculate the cost of your meal(s). After eating, go to the cashier to pay. Trust system. As chaotic as it seemed, the food was delicious, and mainly the ones with the sauces. Wouldn’t mind coming here again as I have only had 3 of the supposed over 80 dishes available.

Really enjoyed the selection of food here. The pais patin is superb! Very reasonably priced. There are lots of flies, but that comes when you have so much fish varieties. Good selection!

it was an ok ok experience for me. everything is too sweet. the pais patin and the tempoyak. will not repeat. the restaurant receives lots of customers everyday, my suggestion is for the restaurant to provide more baby seats. penatlah nak rebut kerusi.

Great tasting local delicacies. Must eat the Tempoyak Ikan Patin. All items are quite cheap except for sotong. Highly recommended.

Loads of choices… The patin pais is only RM 9 per piece… And loads of other choices. Easy parking.

It was a random lunch decision. It was lunch hour yet Mabiq (main) was dished out by the early lunch crowd hence we decided on Mabiq 2. Apparently Kuantan crowd take early meals. Hence even though it was around 1pm, most trays were either emptied or almost empty. We had to wait about 15-20mins for our table. It was strange that rice was only available in batches of two tubs. Hence we had to again wait, to have our staple source of carbohydrate. There also isnt a proper system when queing, with the impatient nonchalantly cutting queue. Tubs went empty after 5-6 people as each would be taking for multiple members at their table. Cleanliness can be very much improved within the space. We chose to have the famous paeh patin and daging salai masak lemak. Hence didnt pay much attention to other options. Both choices were very pleasing to our palate. Apparently the paeh patin comes in head or tail servings at a very reasonable price of RM15 each. Unfortunately only the head cuts were available for us. It was a perfect fushion of creamy, sweet, sour and spicy. We each agreed that it was perhaps the best patin tempoyak we have yet tasted! The daging salai was tastefully smoked. Its gravy was delivious despite seemingly looking watered. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy patin tempoyak. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! ????

Parking: Quite easy Food:9/10 (patin tempoyak a bit spicy for me) Popular dishes here are patin tempoyak and paeh patin bakar. We have to self service from scooping the rice until serving drinks. Overall, good experience!

Easy access from the main road. Variety of dishes to choose from. Pais, masak lemak cili padi, sayur goreng etc. Patin masak tempoyak was just average. The gravy (kuah) could have been thicker. It was quite watery compared to other outlets’ masak tempoyak. White rice was priced RM1. 50 per plate – better not waste any single bit! Hehe Overall average, quite convenient to go to, but masak tempoyak could have been better. If you want to go, go early to avoid crowd and secure yourself a table. Otherwise you might end up queuing/ waiting for other patrons to finish.

The price is reasonable. The food were great. But, one of our paeh patin were undercooked. We’ve complain, but the staff assume we took it from the back. And he didn’t even apologize.
