- Reviews:This location is always staffed with the most helpful, friendly, and joyful employees. From the moment I walk in they greet me and acknowledge my presence. I always find what I am looking for as the store is clean and organized. I never have to look far for help as they are always looking for ways to assist/help. I always get more information than I expect from them. I could not have a pet without this store in my neighborhood providing for our every need within just a few blocks from home. My cats and I appreciate you all.By Jodie Kaderli (3 months ago)Ruth at Petco Beretania did a fantastic job trimming my dog’s nails! My dog was running for the exit and very scared before her appointment, but I know Ruth handled her with professionalism and her dog handling skills were evident. My dog came back with the best trim I have ever seen on her. Beautifully trimmed and buffed nails at the perfect length! When I walked back to pick up my dog, I saw Ruth squatting on the floor with my dog so she could look out the exit door while waiting for me. Thank you Ruth for the phenomenal job!By Shaianne Kealoha (2 weeks ago)This Petco is so an amazing staffs and grooming staffs and management is awesome. They r so nice and take care of the our pets as there’s. I was so pleased that they took their time to groom my dogs. I will always give them my business keep up with great team work.By Niralee Vadawala (a month ago)As I was checking out today (5/9/23 @ 9:50am) an older gentlemen next to me was asking the cashier (Eric, a younger man) for help with the product he was purchasing and the cashier told him “I have something else to do, I don’t have time to help you anymore”. Eric proceeded to walk away and give him attitude as the older man kept asking him for his help, which was to help him read the instructions on the back of the bottle. How hard is it to take 30 more seconds of your day to help somebody read the label on a product that they are buying from you? If you don’t want to do customer service, than quit your job and do something different. What a horrible experience that was for me and I wasn’t even the one being helped by Eric, I can’t imagine how badly that older man must feel for asking for help from the people who are supposed to help him but yet get none. I will not recommend anybody to go to this location as they do not have proper customer service training and frankly just don’t care about their customers, so if you’re alright with spending your hard earned money in a place that treats you like trash, then this is the place for You.By Justin solusod (a month ago)Employees like Marissa are the reason why I like self-check out or just simply ordering online. I went there yesterday to buy dog food. I went to check out and Marissa was having a non-work related conversation with a coworker. She continued talking with her coworker when I was at the register and while scanning my items and did not even acknowledge my presence. So I told her that it’s basic customer service to stop talking with her coworker and focus on the customer who’s checking out. It was just downright rude.By Kendall M. (a month ago)

- Reviews:This was our first trip to this location and we fell in love. We ended up adopting two kittens from their lot. We went inside to spend time with the kittens and when we met these two, they were ours. The adoption process was quick and simple. The workers are super attentive and thoughtful. They assured us regarding the kittens’ records and gave us plenty of insight to make this a very easy transition for everyone. We’re so happy with the new additions to our family. I recommend coming here in person and getting to know the store. The other workers stocking the place and helping us as cashiers are super knowledgeable and patient. I know we’ll be back here for more supplies for sure.By Raisa Melendez (6 months ago)Iwilei Store. Staff was very helpful over phone. Item was still available when I arrived about 4 hours later. Lots of homeless people in da area but, they have not bothered me when I was there. I try to go in afternoon, b4 it gets dark.By Neal Sakamoto (a month ago)Not bad if you live by the area and need any pet supplies. The employees are nice and helpful. Only downside, there is a lot of homeless in the area. I mean a whole community of them. So be careful at night.By fuge man (a month ago)Teneshia, the trainer at Petsmart, is amazing! She helped my puppy, Chance, so much. We were able to learn many skills, and I was able to build a better bond with my puppy. There is much to learn through the program about how to properly train your dog and how to care for them. I highly recommend going through the training program.By Shakayla Stanford (2 months ago)We were in town happen to go get some fish and aquarium items for mom and ours at Kalihi pet but seen this pet smart branch in Nimitz. So we shop here instead worth &200 plus . I like the store variety of fish products .. pet smart: fish smart I say.. but my dismay when my wife who is pregnant -trimester with me and a 4 year old boy needed to use bathroom she frequent use bathroom due to her pregnancy…. But the store staff -NOAH was saying it’s no public restroom due to the homeless messing up..?!!!?@“! To me do we look like homeless?? It’s just a call of nature and special consideration for a pregnant woman?? But I guess staff Noah is just blind to see the need of a customer?? Not SMRT people.. !!! Hey I understand company policy according to your situation but humanitarian reason and customer service bringing $200 purchase, pregnant woman can’t use to ‘pre’???!! Where is your SMART brain??? I’m sorry just got oust off I almost wanted to return my entire purchase but I wasted time going inside store and look around.. so sad, really sad of this experience?!!!! I hope your CEO see this comment ot the state to mandate the law to provide a public rest room for emergencies and customers… hello???! Customers not homeless!! Get your brain smarter please!! Can’t believe such bad experience here????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????it’s like a big joke!! !!! Oh btw, 2 different item on 2 location shelves exactly the same but different price and Noah said he don’t know?? Maybe the person did not remove old pricing??? Of what???! Very smart answer!im just post and sad how sales associates sometimes don’t think outside the box!!! A grade school is smarter in this case! Don’t delete my post I’ll be on the look out , I can use social media to bring my frustrations if this warrant my customers feedback.By Eugene Calara (a year ago)

Love this place. Lots of furry friends here available for adoption. We adopted our cat a few months ago and the family just adores him. We did change his name though because we didn’t think his given name of Tofu fitted this guy. ????
These people are heroes! There was a very tiny kitten that had been stuck in one of the tallest, thinnest trees of our neighborhood for 2 nights and 3 days. The 3rd day was the absolute hottest. I had been calling around for suggestions to help after the 2nd day when I realized the little guy was not going to attempt to come down. I was recommended to this place and these guys came right out, assessed the situation and put together one of the bravest and most amazing rescues I’ve seen in person. The kitten is doing amazing. We named him “Lucky” and he’s so thankful. Even though he is a wild kitten, you can totally tell he realizes the effort put into his rescue because he follows me around like I’ve had him for 10 years and man does he love to be pet and cuddled! Thank you so much!!!
Looking for your next pet, this is the place. We adopted Edgar, cat, yes he needed extra care as he was older and had some trauma, but we are glad he in our family. The staff here are nice and they want to see these fur babies go to good homes. Adopt responsibly please. ????
4/3/23 :
Here’s Loki a month come Wednesday healthy and happy ????
We adopted a little doggo, who was malnourished and stinky. He’s gained some weight in the eight days since, and is happy
I was really impressed with the Humane Society. It was my first visit and I liked the way the animals were all able to be either outside, or go inside9. It was clean and didn’t have that “kennel” smell like most of the facilities on the mainland. The staff was nice and it seemed like all the animals were well taken care of. You can see from the photos how nice and serene this place is. There’s plenty of places to sit among the walkways… even the public bathroom was clean and sanitary.
