- Reviews:It was an amazing experience. Very, clean, organized, and the animals were well kept. Phenomenal service I loved the knowledgeable yet charismatic front desk clerk. I didn’t catch her name, but I love her ear gauge and tattoos. You can tell she loves her job. Thanks for helping us!By Ari C. Lexington (2 months ago)We adopted this sweet black lab mix who was a stray at the pound. Quick and easy. Please support this process.By Amazing Staff (4 months ago)The lady at the front desk is beyond rude. It’s sad because when your greeted with rudeness, it makes u feel unwelcome. Once u get passed the lady at the front desk, the rest of the staff was friendly & helpful. Took a star off for her rudeness. Otherwise I would’ve gave 5 stars. Don’t let that lady’s rudeness deter you from meeting your new fur baby♡By Liza Brown (2 months ago)The facility is really well maintained and the employees are extremely professional and connected to the cause. It was such a great experience having our aunt adopt here while so many other families did too.By Jack Carvalho (a year ago)Although I didn’t get her name, the lady who I spoke with on the phone was very rude and impatient with me. Then the man who came and picked up, the animals, seemed frustrated with me when he heard that the dogs were not as aggressive as they should be, for the earnest called that we made. The reason we made an urgent call is because two pitbull mixes were lingering around our church building, and we have service starting soon so we needed them gone. That way no one was in danger. I don’t appreciate the impatient and rude attitude. But they got the job done.By Aubrey Idleman (2 months ago)

- Reviews:I went with a friend to adopt a dog, upon looking I found a bulldog named Dozer. He was out with the other animals in kennel 1. Immediately I knew he was the one for me, I spent hours sitting by his side and playing with him through the gate. I was told that Dozer bit a child and was not supposed to be out with the other dogs. But the notes on his file were very vague and they didn’t know if the child provoked him. I went to see him again a day later and as soon as I was sitting with him the RUDE OFFICER in the front sent two other officers to put him up in the back with the aggressive dogs. The hours I spent with dozer by his side , he didn’t show any aggression he wouldn’t even bark. He was just happy and playful. My issue here is the people here are so rude upfront they can’t even look or acknowledge you when you’re in the room. And this was my experience two different times being there I only met one man there who was genuinely nice and answered my questions without attitude, everyone else in there needs to be fired or learn to better because that was by far my worst experience. In the pictures I’ve attached is Dozer, he’s a good boy who could have been rehabilitated and cared for with proper training. But they won’t give him the time of day based on “Vague” notes.By Kaylee Jackson (5 months ago)Got my sweet pup Johnson here 4 years ago and really, who saved who? They do the best they can with limited resources. Everyone, do what you can and don’t get pets you can’t take care of and if you are looking for a pet, always adopt.By Tegan French (a week ago)First was not good showed plc of my dog snd they would let me get my dog showed them about 10 pic of my dog. The second day was great they told i had to het him fix first and the third fay i brought him homeBy Louise Callaway (a week ago)I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of staff there who assisted me. The animals are well taken care of and nursed. Kennels clean. The entire Lancaster facility was a beauty… Please go and adopt and donate there are a lot of beautiful babies there waiting for a home. I drove from Inglewood.By Tania Montoya (3 months ago)This is the closest place to my house in Rosamond. I showed up with a dog of mine that was dying and they would not help me, coldly saying that “it was out of their jurisdiction, according to the old man that was on duty at the time. He gave me a list of Kern County services saying”Yes, they’re open” but none of them were. Meanwhile I had to return home with my dying dog & listen to him pass overnight. I get that it’s L.A. County & I live just inside the Kern County line, but they couldn’t make an exception? I just wanted to put my dog to sleep so he wasn’t suffering any more.By studmfn63 (a month ago)

Helpful people, and they had a huge bed for the pets- on sale. I I’ve that they allow pets in to shop. So very helpful as I could then tell the bed was big enough!
Went to purchase fish for my 10 gallon. The employee who helped me was very kind and exceptionally great at bagging the fish I requested. Purchased a beautiful female Betta, snails, ghost shrimp and live plants.
Valley Central Way Pet Smart always has kind workers. But Gosh even with the sale items almost totaled $200. One large bag dog food, one small, 6 treat bags and 2 toys.
Google asked me to update my review, but it’s the same as follows.
Always have what I’m looking for. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
All of the animals seem well kept and priced fairly.
Only complaint I would have is policing the fish tanks better to remove dead stock.
PetSmart is a great place to shop for your pet! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it has no pet hospital like the one in Los Angeles. My pet Maltipoo has been on the Banfield wellness program for years so it never occurred to me that my move to Cal City would cause me to have to drive two hours to take my dog to the vet. Everything she needed she received from PetSmart including clothes, shoes, and food. Now I have to pay off her plan then find a vet closer to me. SMH.
