What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. It’s rare you’ll find a very affordable, really nice hotel on the lake… but, you’re n luck because this place is just that. The breakfast is really good as well, even tho, it’s not complimentary. Also, that lake view is pretty nice. The receptionists is so pleasant and intelligent, I rock with her. There’s some beautiful art work down the corridor.

Only complaint is that their are spiders around the window ???? ???? on the outside of course, not in the room. A power wash ???????? ???? would do the trick.. Hopefully they fact that into the budget monthly.

    No semi truck parking.
    The pool was closed
    The Gym is decent
    Has a nice lil bar.
    Has a Military Discount.
    It’s a very clean hotel.
    It’s a winner ????

  2. This establishment markets itself as one that can properly and professionally handle an event such as a wedding but that is far from the truth. We booked this hotel for a wedding weekend and had 90% of the rooms booked for our guests. The Bridal Suite that they called their “Presidential Suite” was dirty, rundown, smelly, and small. The balcony on the suite was locked, full of weeds, and looked so disgusting that we avoided taking pictures there. The staff working that weekend were unhelpful and rude. The front desk attendant was so mean that our guests tried to avoid him for help. The Bartender was purposely heavy handed with the liquor so we would run out quickly and maybe so our guests wouldn’t notice the multiple issues there were with the hotel. The banquet hall coordinators turned the heat on in the hall before the guests even arrived and when confronted about it they said it was because of how many people were in the building. We paid for bartenders and food servers that were told to leave early by those in charge of the banquet halls and wouldn’t help. We were only halfway through the event and had one server left for hundreds of people. The ladies in charge of the banquet halls were rude and racist. They were unreceptive to the Bride and Groom’s needs and ultimately ruined their day. Afterwards, the hotel is trying to charge them for their own lack of proper service, their own dirty and run down rooms, and so much more. Do not go to this hotel and definitely don’t host any events there unless you like being mistreated and overcharged.

  3. Let me start by saying the folks here are just all great everyone has bent over backwards to help us out and make sure that we’re comfortable and we’re satisfied with the facilities and our stay.
The restaurant or food area actually has a pretty good selection in the food is really quite tasty.

I should point out that this is a Hilton style facility and it is in key part of the South.

It’s humid here and as a result you have a lot of interesting anomalies you wouldn’t have in other parts of the country.

For example the doors tend to swell and so they don’t always shut, the same thing goes for the furniture and cabinetry in the rooms. The facility is currently in the process of upgrading its telephone system so the push button phones in the rooms don’t work right now. But most people have cell phones and there are USB chargers in the room.

In addition each room has a microwave a refrigerator and a nice Keurig coffee maker.

The gym looks like it’s pretty well equipped for somebody traveling on the road in business. (Although full disclosure of the air conditioner in that room is not working as of this writing).

  4. This hotel lobby is good, but the room is outdated and smelled. I had a dirty comforter when I went up to my room at check in and had to ask someone to come change it. They told me they would and I left and came back and still wasn’t done, so I had to call back . Same with the toilet flush, had to call twice and the time they came they came without knocking. The room phones didn’t work they stated they are being upgraded so anything I had to use my personal phone to call. The tub had marks on them as well. Overall not a great place to stay felt dirty and musty

  5. For a hotel that’s connected to a large convention center, it is quite lacking. While the hotel appears lovely at first glance, and the beds and showers are great, there is blatant evidence that the building needs to be updated. There are rips/holes in the curtains in the corridor leading to the ballroom. The curtains/closet door in my room wouldn’t close. The corridors on every floor were uncomfortably warm and stuffy. The restrooms near the ballroom are in desperate need of updating. In the women’s restroom, there is one inadequate paper towel dispenser for eight sinks, several of which didn’t function properly. I was attending a conference and wanted a Diet Coke. I had to ask three times between 8 am and 2:30 pm for the shop to be restocked. I finally, on my own, found the gentleman who was doing the restocking. He gave me a drink and offered to have a cup of ice brought to me. The wait staff for our conference was lacking as well. Several times, we cleared our own tables so that we could continue with conference activities. We had to ask several times for our water dispenser to be refilled. I would not recommend this hotel for any type of event.

Pros…..Quiet location, rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable.

Cons….The lady at check in was polite but not very friendly. And the worst was breakfast. Breakfast is not free. It’s not advertised to be free so we weren’t surprised about that. However, the price was surprising. You could either order off the menu or eat at the buffet. The “buffet” was only fruit, cereal and bagels. Too few choices for the price. And there aren’t any close breakfast options. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

It’s located in a very quiet area. Minutes away from Walmart and chain restaurants. The staff is very polite and the lobby is very inviting. It’s smells like I’m walking through a flower bed. My room had a pull out sofa and chair, it would be nice if those items were updated. It looked overused. Overall, I will definitely stay there again.

The whole hotel was clean and smelled clean throughout. The carpet in our room was clean and didn’t have that gross “film” a lot of other places have on their carpets. The room was wonderfully roomy (King Jr. Suite) and had 2 televisions, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The microwave was a sight for sore eyes, considering we had just left a very upscale Mariott we had been in for a week that didn’t have microwaves in the rooms. There were two nice patio areas outside for evening gatherings when it wasn’t so hot out, and it is located in walking distance from a great pub called Decent People that had self serve taps and great food. It is also located within 1.5 miles of many restaurants, a Kroger, pharmacies, and many other common shops you find in upscale strip shopping centers. The location was safe, and the hotel was nicely nestled adjacent to a golf course community. Great location, great hotel!!

This is a really great hotel. It would have gotten all 5s but there isn’t a kitchen/bar onsite. This would have made it nice to grab a quick meal without leaving the hotel. Fortunately there are restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are comfortable but could use an update soon. Overall very nice place to stay.

If your flight gets delayed AND you call and let them know, they will STILL give away your room.

Was told at 9pm that everything was fine and that the room was set aside. 0130, “oh I thought you weren’t coming. We gave your room away.” 0200 the system finished updating “I MIGHT have a room, but it might not have been cleaned. Meaning, I doubt the bed was made.” 0230 got into a room. No discount. No voucher. Just a “well, sorry”.

    Terribly run hotel

It was a quiet place. Helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Older looking rooms but everything was there that was needed. Not fancy, just practical. 5 night stay- Only downer is the windows need upgrades – the traffic sounded like the windows were open when there was a louder vehicle out in the road, and the road was far enough away that it should not be heard.

So, the location was great. The front desk staff was great. The room was not cleaned good, found a sock on the floor by the window when we checked in, it was too late, and too tired to switch room. The breakfast was the typical and I assume it was good, I didn’t eat because I am vegan (no plant based milk/etc). The price was too much for this hotel. But overall, it was a place to lay our head. I would prob not go to this location again, but would try another..

I stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms are a bit dirty. The building as a whole is super hot. There are large ac units in the rooms, but they don’t cool the entire space. Housekeeping does not happen daily so we ran out of items likes soap and toilet paper and had to go to the desk and ask for more. We stayed in a suite with six people. When reserving we had to provide the number of guests and ages of each guest. When we checked in we had 3 towels. After check in we had to go back down to the desk to ask for bedding for the fold out couch. The room smelled pretty bad. Someone had put an air freshener in the ac unit in an attempt to fix the problem. We made several trips to the front desk to ask for typical hotel staples (toilet paper, hand soap, towels, pillow, etc.). Most of the times we went down the staff member was hanging in the back and we needed to yell for them to come help us. Other than that the staff are kind and welcoming. This was an ok last resort but I would not recommend staying if you have other options.

Bad experience from the time we got there. We’re treated more like a bother than a paying customer. They charge a $100 incidental fee which was not told when I made the reservation. Booked 2 Queens gave Us 2 standard beds or what they call doubles. first thing was there was a big empty hole where the mini regf. was suppose to be , we later discover it , barely worked. They change the room for us but the shower was terrible , water drizzled out of the shower head. People on the floor above kept banging , jumping or bouncing off the walls. Beds were hard as bricks, one was higher than the other which gave the illusion one was bigger . I won’t mentioned the breakfast the next morning. Let’s just say took one look and lifted. Booked 2 nights went back to the room and got out things and checked out the after the 1st. night.

This place is not maintained well: It had dirty carpet in the lobby and halls, the AC is not working in the lobby/breakfast area or gym, scuffed walls everywhere, worn out mattress, dirty elevator; broken water fountain in gym; room door would not close easily but the closet doors would not stay open; garbage cans in lobby and outside were full the entire time; door to/from outdoor patio by breakfast area would not unlock w/door key, soap dispenser in men’s public restrooms not working. It simply appears the manager or owners are not managing.
