a month agoCons: VERY LITTLE parking, no place to put your clothing with the exception of 10 hangers. One closet upstairs with a few hangers and zero shelving for your stuff. Bedroom 2 upstairs has no closet but a rolling rack with a few hangers and no where to put your other clothing. Downstairs bedroom has huge closet, few hangers and no place to put the rest. Kitchen/dining/living room ‘works’ however not as clean as you would think and has only 1 drying towel and one hot pad. Bathrooms are great yet the towels are small and few including hand towels and wash cloths. Stairs and handrail going upstairs appear to not have been cleaning in a while. PROS: great location, several restaurants within walking distance. No close grocery. Beds are very comfortable. Two mini splits keep it ‘somewhat’ cool. Places outside to sit, pet friendlya month agoThis place was very clean and comfy! I enjoyed heading back to this rental and relaxing at the end of the day. There’s a near by park which was great for a dog walk, plenty of nearby food spots, and beautiful area/nice neighborhood if visiting Spokane. The hosts were responsive and really enjoyed my stay.a week agoMy daughter and I stayed in one of the micro studio houses while in Spokane visiting Gonzaga University and it was the best experience! From the Thursday Farmers Market, to eating one of the best burgers I’ve had at the Lantern, to ending the day in the comfy bed…we highly recommend staying here and will again!4 months agoOur second time staying at the Blockhouse. Love the ample but simple amenities, dog friendliness, and great neighborhood for a quick coffee in the morning and bite/beer at night.a month agoI loved my stay at Blockhouse Life. It was just what I had hoped for an more. Very comfortable, beautiful interior, and a beautiful neighborhood to walk and grab a bite to eat. I’m looking forward to my next stay.

The hostess, Gillian, is so welcoming and she loves to share the history of the house! Wonderful stay.2 years agoThe nicest couple operate this superior bed and breakfast. They are amazing cooks serving delicious meals. The rooms are appointed with everything you will need. It is located in a historic district full of fantastic turn of the century homes and its a safe nice area to take walks. There are pubs like the Elk and other restaurants within a 5 minute walk. I send my highest endorsement of this locally owned and operated B&B.5 years agoThis historic house was so much better to stay at than a hotel. It’s a few blocks from downtown in the quiet Browne’s addition neighborhood. We walked and rode bikes all over. The bed was nice and comfy. We got nice chocolates and local cherries as gifts in our rooms. The hosts are so nice. Breakfast was full of choices. Yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, croissant, quiche. I would gladly stay here again.5 years agoThis is our second visit to the 1899 House. Gillian and Louie are wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome in their home. The Dora Suite is delightful and comfortable, and held a few surprises such as a bag of local coffee beans and chocolates. Gillian’s homemade breakfast was delicious. The Browne’s Addition neighborhood is lovely, with many gorgeous Victorian homes, as well as a few terrific restaurants. Will certainly stay there on our next visit to Spokane.6 years agoWe had a wonderful time here. Snuck away from the kids for a night and relaxed in an extremely comfortable room. Nearby was food, shopping and a lovely walk through Browns Addition in Spokane. Food was great, hosts were lovely, and we marveled at the craftsmanship of the historic home.

Nice and roomy with a two person table and sofa as well as a desk. The bed was very good but you could clearly hear people walking upstairs. The breakfast was standard free breakfast. It was in a quiet area which was nice.
Stayed here to goto silverwood. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Stayed 3 nights. Front desk is amazing. Breakfast is basic but waffles are on point. Full gym and pool. Housekeeping accommodation is wonderful every day if you want it. Will definitely come back.

my family of 4 stayed, two adults, and two teenage boys.. was very pleased overall. Had come for Silverwood. Yes this location is in the industrial area, but that didn’t bother us. The staff, seemed friendly, and professional.
We stayed here for two weeks. The room was so nice, clean, quiet, peaceful. The bed was perfect and we slept so good each night. Our room had a nice large flatscreen TV. The room had a nice larger mini fridge, mircrowave, coffeemaker, nice sofabed. The staff was friendly, helpful, very pleasant. The breakfast area had nice selections to choose from. We enjoyed the pool and spa. The fitness center was a large size, many exercise tools to use. The wifi was great. There was a nice business center but we did not need to use it. Overall, we highly recommend this place. It was great!!!
