What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I’m extremely disappointed in their dish department the tanks are dirty and their fish don’t look healthy. Some other fish are clearly suffering from fin rot or other ailments. The photos from one of their fish in their display tank that has a bad case of fin rot. Which is easily treatable with medication.

  2. This has become my go to spot for picking up dog, cat, and budgie food. They carry all the brands I purchase and pricing is fair. Promotional pricing rotates across items, but often is applicable to the items I buy.

  3. Clean and well organized but still don’t ever like seeing the condition of the fish tanks. Dead fish and fish with spots (disease) and troubled. Lots of furry algae too.

  4. Love this store! The employees are friendly and helpful. Always have a good experience here, find what I need quick and easy. Thanks ????

I had a not so nice experience of being placed on a waiting list for a beautiful brindle, and was called at 12pm on Sunday. It only took me 15 minutes to get there, but they had already given her to another interested party. We were SHOCKED! We were told it was first-come-first-serve. Then why even place us on a list??? Beautiful building. Fix your policy on wait list and adoption.

Well what I had a concern about an animal being abused or neglected turns out the animal service officer is apparently in bed with a person that’s abusing these dogs and sees no harm done so this place is corrupt as ever. These dogs have been tied up to the camper for going on three days no food no water and they won’t do anything about it

Betty and team took great care of our Akita and Husky dogs. They loved the indoor/outdoor kennels and being away from the city a bit. They were happily exhausted from their weekend away at Kamp and napped all the way home to Sac! Highly recommend and we’re already on the books for another stay soon!!

I call to ask about Labor Day hours and what pets are available im greeted by “why so what are you calling for” with the worst, most rude attitude. I was really thinking about coming to adopt a kitty here but not when I’m greeted by the lady on the phone. Really shows how good of a customer service they have. Kick rocks, I’ll just go to the SPCA where I should’ve called to begin with.

I adopted Coco through Kritter Kamp and Betty and her staff were super with info on the dog and all vet care that was included. I had lost my Pom/Chi Tiny Girl and was heartbroken and it took me over 8 months to recover. I worked with Coco for over 2 months and he got the potty training down fine. I was impressed by the way Betty gave info to me on the dog and her overall positive attitude. I also dropped off a donation for Kritter Kamp last week as i feel I need to support this rescue. I am also a pet sitting service in Citrus Heights so it is important to have a rescue like Kritter Kamp as a resource for my customers. Thank you all again for the love of my life !, Rose Connolly, Always Available Pet Sitting, C. Hts, CA

We boarded our dog here at the last minute as our regular Pet Hotel was full and we had to go out of town. Our dog is an eleven year old Border Collie mix. She was orphaned at two days old and has had food aggression issues all her life. Other than that she is a good dog. She has been boarded many times. We boarded her for five days at Kritter Kamp and paid $137.00. When she was picked up it was made clear that she was not welcome back. They claimed she was so aggressive they had to move her from the indoor/outdoor run she was in to an outdoor run with a dog house. She has never slept outside in all the years we have had her. Additionally, she had feces matted in her hair on the back of her right front leg and on her chest near her right front leg. Dogs do not voluntarily lay in their feces. We do not believe she received much, if any, care while she was there. Kritter Kamp never contacted us to let us know she was having any difficulties. When we board her at her usual Pet Hotel she is given a bath and sent home clean and happy. It really wasn’t necessary for Kritter Kamp to say she is not welcome back as we would never take her there again nor would we recommend them to anyone.
