in the last weekMy wife rented the venue for my retirement party. First off it’s a very interesting space, rustic corrugated tin walls with rusted patina and holes. But we did not have a good experience. When we arrived the room was 89 degrees with no AC running. They have a swamp cooler in the corner that was not prepared to operate. The owner was not readily available for help. Our poor caterer was drenched from the sweltering heat. When we finally got in touch with the owner… she said, well it was a 106 today in Dallas. We made the best of it since 20 people had been invited. It never got below 83 when we left at 10pm. Probably not a good idea to rent out a tin barn in the summer time in Dallas with little or no AC. Bummer.2 years agoThis place is just mindblowing!!! The makeover with “Holiday Homes” was amazing, I just saw it on TV. I had tears in my eyes. J has his❤ in the right place. This location is very loud, dirty, and the local people that live there smoke cigarettes and marijuana in the rooms. It comes into your room from the bathroom vent. The front desk is not always friendly. We asked for an alarm clock and never got one. The trash is always full. The laundry room is very dirty. It is extremely over priced. The overall place is just dirty. I have stayed at locations across the United States traveling for business this location was really bad. Fire alarm going off because people are smoking cigarettes and weed in the rooms. They do nothing about it at all. I recommend if you are visiting for fun or business to try any other location than this one. Texas is full of great hotels that will treat their customers with class.
Room was clean and I kept it that way. Parking is easy. Includes a gym. Premises are clean. And daytime manager Miriam is excellent and friendly. The only issues to be aware of are that they only clean the rooms every 2 weeks. So it is worth it to buy cleaning supplies (including a cheap vacuum) if you want to keep your unit clean during longer stays. I will definitely stay here again.
Absolutely horrible experience. Checked in to my room, and at 1030p when I went to take a shower, realize that there is no shower curtain. When I called down and asked somebody to bring a shower curtain up, I was told no that they would not. And I asked why not and then I was informed that they didn’t have anybody to run and bring it to me. Prior to that she said she had to go up to the second floor to check to see if she had one available for me because all the other ones were dirty. Obviously, I let her know my dis contentment, and at 12:30 AM they tried to deliver the shower curtain to me at which point I told them I was sleeping. Horrible service at check out as well. It says, though everybody hates their job.
I was unhappy with Myaa who worked at the front desk on July-05-23 at night shift!
My friend stayed at the hotel for about 02 months then he had to leave before his online order came. On Monday, July 03, Walmart delivered his order, and he asked me to come to the hotel to pick it up. I came to the hotel on July 05 and met Myaa, she was talking on the phone at that time. I explained to her the situation, provided my friend’s name, and asked if the hotel received the order, and if could she check it for me. She gave a gaze at the front desk area, even not looking for my friend’s packet, and she answered that it was not here, it was returned! And then she came back to the room behind the reception and continued talking to someone on her phone. Because I did not feel trust her, I called her, and asked her again. I explained that the packet was delivered two days ago, and she said they did not receive it!!!
This Wednesday, I came back to the hotel at noon because I guess Myaa would work at night shift on Wednesday. I asked another front desk lady to help. She was kind, helpful and took about 02 minutes to look for the order and name. The packet was at the reception desk. I FINALLY received my friend packet!!!!
It is so sad because that Myaa is a liar and lazy about her work!!! I hope the hotel can improve their service!!!
Initially, I was checked into a room that was emitting toxic fumes from the AC unit. The carpet was always damp. Then, my bath tub was stopped up. The first room was deemed unlivable, unsafe. Management moved me to another room, but raised my rate. Horrible experience for someone who is away from home and working 12 hours a day. Upon checkout, I was told I have a $192.00 credit. Horrible experience!!!
