- Reviews:This organization is doing wonderful work. We had a great experience adopting a dog here just recently. The process was easy. The animals here are treated with love and respect. Our dog had been neutered, vaccinated, and treated with flea & tick medication prior to adoption. We are one month out from adopting our pup, who turned out to be all of the qualities promised by Jam and more. Jam has gone so above and beyond in post-adoption support and care. The staff and volunteers were very kind and considerate toward me. Sure enough, it didn’t take long for me to choose the “one”❤ I couldn’t leave behind. The adoption coordinator “Jem”, was open, honest and pleasant despite her many radio calls to attend to various needs presented by her staff. She allowed me the time I needed to solidify my choice without pressuring me one way or the other. And yes, ….I took my little Freya, a Dachshund home. I’ve had her just over one week and I won’t part with her for anything. From the bottom of my heart, “THANK YOU HUMANE SOCIETY of the NORTH BAY! Yours is a hard, complicated job of caring for abandoned, PTSD scared, sometimes abused animals, tending to their needs, comforting them as much as possible, and to top it off, trying to accommodate a demanding public who expects the “very best” from you. God Bless all of you, ….. staff, volunteers and patrons. Without your existence, I would not have my beautiful little girl. You have my love, prayers and support for life. I adopted a wonderful dog but had to return her because I just couldn’t give her what she deserved,. - Reviews:Found a cat living in our attic. Had the chip read and it stated that goldie and papis had chipped her in 2017. Reached out to the group about the found cat. Said we’d foster the cat until they could figure out what to do with her since “they always take back and take care of the animals from their organization” yet here we are weeks / month later with zero response from them. I’ve emailed consistently. Sad….this animal deserves better. I love this store. The staff is professional and friendly. They know me and my pup. They always have what I need provided inventory wasn’t impacted by theft. They do their best to ensure we are taken care of.
Not really impressed with the personnel. Employee in the fish section couldn’t seem to put enough air in the bag that was holding my newly purchased fish. Fish ended up dying. Petco was willing to exchange the dead fish if I brought it back in the water it died in. Kinda morbid. I brought it back and after understanding the replacement criteria I let out a small expletive and the employee behind the counter got all flustered saying we can refuse your business!! Really? How about you refund my money – not interested in buying another fish. Employee acted like he was holier than thou and acted like he never heard a swear word before. Oh well plenty of fish in the sea lol
They usually have what I need and the app is cool. Love the free same day delivery option to my house even tho I haven’t had the chance to use it yet.
Lots of friendly staff but Petco in general needs to take better care of the animals. Reptiles especially need better care
I can only speak on their aquatics department. I came here to check out their selection of Betta fishes. I was surprised to see how well maintained the store was. I’m used to the aquatics departments of these stores being quite sad. Props to the employees here.
