What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Stayed in a van camping spot for three nights. It was tight, but that was expected. Very small space, but the platform provided was nice. We were parked in a big mud puddle the whole time, which isn’t great for van life with an old dog. Drainage could be improved for that spot. It was tough to step away from the platform without getting wet. Only one shower (that we were made aware of) for all campers including tents, car camping, and hostel, but two bathrooms. Electric at site if needed (we didn’t use), but NO WATER available. Stupidly, I asked if we could use either of the two hoses hooked up to spigots to top off our water tank before hitting the road, and the answer was no. I felt treated as if I were a van off the street pulling in to ask for free amenities, not a paying guest. We aren’t from here, but it seems the attitude toward people staying in camper vans is hostile around here. However, this was a “van camping” site that we paid for. We had much better accommodations with water and bathrooms available for less $ at a federal campsite for our following nights. Maybe I’m missing something but it’s not like the rooms aren’t using way more water with one shower than our little van could have held altogether. We likely wouldn’t return.

  2. We rented a 3 bedroom cabin here for my friend’s birthday (just 5 of us total, not a party) and we really enjoyed the place! The surroundings were beautiful, the cabin and the grounds were very nice, and it all just had a lovely, homey feel. We would definitely go back here if we’re in the area.

The one very small drawback was that the kitchen wasn’t well stocked (not many plates, only coffee cups and tiny 4 ounce drinking glasses, and only one fork) but we made do around this and we thoroughly enjoyed the place otherwise. I’d recommend bringing some water bottles and disposable cutlery though!

  3. Beyond no frills. Really spectacular stay. Truly cared for and kind staff and owners, who are around. Really comfortable and if you are an outdoorsy human like me, you will enjoy your stay. If you are incredibly particular and difficult, I am sure you will find something wrong with the lodge, but this definitely was one of my favorite stays ever. If you want to be all fancy schmacy then stay somewhere fancy. This place is for those who want to spend their time in CO outdoors exploring. I absolutely loved it and look forward to returning with my family.

  4. This place is great! We stayed here with kids & dog in 2017 & loved it. Haven’t made it back to Boulder till last week. Yes, prices are higher as is the case for everything. Rooms old school, but homy & comfortable. Location can’t be beat. WiFi worked fine in #39. The Main office area with beer on tap is awesome…. Would sorta like some a.m. coffee free, or good stuff for purchase in the office- We think it would encourage more guest mingling : )

  5. I wanted the A-Lodge to be better than what it is. It’s an old motel with a few hip furnishings and a cool communal fire pit and beer on tap in the lobby. There is no continental breakfast or even coffee in the lobby. (That should be removed from the Google listing.) But- bizarre to not even have coffee? (They have a jar of ground coffee in the rooms with powdered creamer. No thank you.) The pillows are small creepy lumpy cheap motel pillows. No air conditioning, but there were 2 fans available in the room. There’s one standard residential style hot tub that’s locked at 99°. You can have a hotter bath in your room. The A-Lodge overall is a run down “Rustic” motel in the woods. Definitely has the forest charm with multiple activities to do in the area, but if you’re looking for a “luxury” experience as their website says – this is NOT luxury whatsoever. Great location and pleasant staff. Don’t think I would stay here again.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. ???? The rooms are clean and simple and everything you need. I checked in late and used my code to get into the lock box. It was easy. I had filtered water waiting for me and coffee and tea in the room. There is a meditation, Zendo on the premises and several spaces for you to sit and contemplate. The outside or inside spaces are simple and inspiring. There is even a little kitty to keep you company if you’re traveling alone. I’m definitely coming back and highly recommend this to anyone who’s traveling to the Boulder area. ????????

My family’s stay so wonderful! They came for my wedding in Boulder. They were over the moon in love with this guest house. They could not stop talking about how beautiful the property was and how comfortable they felt staying there. The food provided was delicious and everyone was so kind to them. They found a 5 star stay here. It was tranquil, peaceful, and wonderful.

This B&B was amazing. The room was cozy and very calming. Breakfast was delicious- some of the best yogurt I’ve had and some incredible pour over coffee and tea. It is within walking distance to downtown Boulder and has off street parking. We accidentally locked ourselves out and Bryant was very responsive in helping us get back in. I highly recommend staying here!

I am usually grossed out by hotel rooms (like, I bring my own pillow and sheets), but this beautiful place is completely pristine and clean I felt so comfortable in the rooms. They must’ve hired some talented professional interior designers to develop such an amazingly simple and modern Japanese aesthetic. The light fixtures, wooden furniture and hand painted artwork = wow. Plus, walking distance from the Farmer’s Market, Boulder creek, and homemade granola! Thanks Boulder Guest House for being such a sweet hidden gem in Boulder!

I absolutely loved my stay at Boulder Guest House. It was peaceful with a lovely garden and beautiful zen style room. The material of the blankets and pillows were high quality, and the mattress was so comfy that I never wanted to leave! There is organic fruit available all day as well as yogurt and delicious homemade granola with multiple milk options. The building is also high tech—my room had a very fancy and quiet air conditioner that worked well despite hot weather outside, and so many streaming options on the Roku. The building also has solar panels on the roof, which I appreciated, and composted. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion are all provided, but it’s not like a normal hotel—these are all natural, and much higher quality. Shower pressure was great. There was also an amazing library of books from which guests were welcome to borrow and read while lounging in the garden or in our rooms. Most of all, the staff were lovely, and clearly work very hard to create a place where cozy meets sacred, and kindness is everywhere. Thank you Boulder Guest House!

I held my 40-person microwedding at the Terry Guesthouse, and it was perfect. Our family stayed there, they loved the space, and felt so taken care of. Getting to have the venue for the whole weekend was amazing — preparations were low-stress, we didn’t worry about deadlines. The backyard was a totally lovely space for the ceremony and reception, just as lovely at night as in the daytime. (Oh and the chairs / tables were included!) Fabulous location, great value, fun times.

I recently had my wedding at The Terry, and I can’t believe how it transformed into a beautiful, romantic micro-wedding venue! It was perfect for our small food-truck wedding.

The day of the wedding, we had a beautiful, sun-lit room to get ready (see photo). The backyard was a dream – lush and tranquil. At night, the market lights are a perfect touch. The backyard and house had plenty of room for all guests to stand, mingle, and even do some dancing! We also held a morning-after brunch (see photo), which looked fabulous and full on that big dining table! It was such a treat to have the house for the weekend. It felt like we had so much time with our guests – and they couldn’t believe how beautiful and unique The Terry was!

Mark, the proprietor, could not have been more lovely to work with. He was communicative and helpful.

Thank you to Mark and The Terry for making our wedding weekend so memorable!
