Call Summers.By Isaiah Martinez (6 months ago)I wanted to write a good review, but I am just not happy with how much money this cost me. The service technicians were prompt and courteous and tried to do good work. Regrettably, there were issues with the size of the unit that was shipped, which wouldn’t fit in the attic (where the original unit was located). They needed to remove my attic stairs to get the blower unit into the attic. Then they asked me if they could cut some of the roof joists to position it correctly. I felt that cutting the roof joists was too risky and asked for options. My only option was to move the unit to the garage and lose significant shelf space. While they were bringing it down, two sections of the garage ceiling were damaged. But, once down, they replaced my attic stairs. The unit was eventually installed (after three days of work), and it’s been mostly great. What hasn’t been great is getting the rebates filed and paying $900 for someone to repair my garage ceiling. The installation took place in April of 2022, and I called about every 3 to 4 weeks, leaving messages. (I also sent several emails.) It wasn’t until January of 2023 that the receptionist finally took pity on me and forced someone to return my calls. And that return call went something like this: Sorry, the damage is your responsibility, and the rebate should have been mailed within the first two months. As I said, I had been calling, and if someone had bothered to return my calls and tell me this sooner, there wouldn’t have been any issues. As for the ceiling damage, I was informed that I shouldn’t have signed the receipt when they finished the work. Which is technically correct; I shouldn’t have signed. But I did because I thought I was dealing with a good and responsible organization. I was wrong. My last attempt was to leave a message with a supervisor asking him to help me get some satisfaction. It’s been three weeks, and I haven’t heard a thing.By Shawn Williams (3 months ago)Installed valve on dishwasher. Doug was very professional and detailed in performing the task necessary to make our dishwasher functional. He wanted to make sure the repair was done correctly and would be long lasting. He also answered all questions and explained what the process was and why. I Highly recommend him. Two young men were out here – both were very pleasant, friendly, and efficient. I also loved that they sent a text out ahead of time, with a picture of the employee that’s coming to the house. This is by far one of the most professional and honest experience that I’ve ever experienced with any service provider. I made an appointment friday morning for a estimate and Matt the Advisor showed up later that morning. Matt was honest, explained everything and didn’t try to sell us systems or services we didn’t need. The process for financing was quick and easy. We met Matt Friday morning and by Monday morning Dylan and Clayton installed our entire HVAC system in just 4 hours. I also highly recommend the gold club membership. With it you get discounts off parts and services and also year round maintenance protection. Great Job!
In a month long quest to get a sewage smell repaired, we spent $14500.00 to find out is was not in the pipe. Part of the repair was removing the tub and shower, which then needed replaced. A $7500 dollar shower replacement, which is crazy, They did’t finish any of it correctly. No drywall repair, a small shim was placed to level the shower surround leaving a gap. My daughter was told when they left to not lean on the shower wall or it will break. This is not what i would consider a $7500 shower install. When cutting out the concrete all the way across the living room, the pea fill was pilled against the drywall leaving damage. Pea fill was scattered across the living room causing the complete removal of the floor to clean their mess. The supervisor for the job would not take suggestions from me or the employees that would have resolved this sooner and cheaper. Family was displaced for a month for repairs that didn’t need done. The company refuses to help offset some of the repairs that where done that didn’t need to be. This has been one of the worst business dealings I have every had. Absolutely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. Such a waste of time and money. For the record I was willing to pay for what I think was justified work. There was zero assistance resolving the issue of unnecessary work. BE CAREFUL, THEY WILL BLEED YOU DRY. I WOULD GIVE A ZERO IF IT WAS AN OPTION. The pictures included are of the finished product of a $7500 tub and shower repair.
My name is John. I spoke with several people at the company, including the local manager before leaving this review. They told me they were not going to do anything to help. They did offer to send the same guy out to repair parts of the shower. He did not know how to do it when installing the shower, so why would I think he was capable the second time he came out?
I had an excellent experience with Peterman Brothers overall. Making an appointment with them was easy and they had the earliest availability by a considerable margin among three companies I called. The technician (Brandon) was amazing – very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He took the time to explain the details of each check he was performing and educate us on the basics of how the heating system works, in addition to showing pictures and video of the internal parts as he was inspecting them. He was up front with his recommendations and quotes. I would strongly recommend them for a thorough heating system inspection.
We have used Peterman for plumbing issues and for furnace maintenance and have been very pleased with the service each time. Repair specialists are extremely knowledgeable and explained step-by-step everything they’re doing. They even show pictures of what they find along the way. We appreciate their professionalism and attention to detail. Our serviceman today was Tommy. He was very polite and very thorough. We will definitely continue to call on Peterman Brothers for future issues.
Sunday 02/05 my old furnace caught on fire. Luckily no permanent damage to anything but the furnace! Called out Peterman Bros and they went above and beyond to help me get a new system before it got cold again. Above and beyond! Matt and John who helped me get the replacement appointment set up were so caring and so helpful and thoughtful considering the circumstances. I cannot thank them enough.
By the next morning I had Jesse and Blake there to remove the old stuff and install the new. They were so nice, respectful and they did a great job adapting my old set up into an up-to-date and more manageable setup. A fantastic experience start to finish after a terrifying and confusing time. I can relax now. Thank you!
●UPDATE: Today Brooke and Charity came out to the house for a follow up duct-cleaning. My house was being ridiculously stubborn with nearly every vent cover they removed. They were polite, cheerful and funny through the entire ordeal. They kept at it until they got all the vents conquered and I felt so bad my house was being difficult. I just hope their next appointment was understanding of their delay- definitely not their fault. They were lovely and I recommend them.
Overall I have had a remarkable experience with this company. I would recommend them to a friend, family, or coworker. Thank you!
