- Reviews:Wow, this place is awesome! Found it online through the Kentucky Humane Society website. Looked through the adult cats and found one I wanted to meet. I was able to text the staff on Monday while they were closed through Google. That was neat. They responded very fast and told me Patty was still available for adoption. So I told them I would be there Tuesday right when they open. I met with Patty. She’s a little shy, but I’m sure she’s been through a lot lately. I agreed to put my application in for adoption and was quickly approved. I was very familiar with the process of adopting from the Kentucky Humane Society I had just adopted my captain Percy in July of this year after my wife passed away this time I’m adopting right after my oldest cat passed away her name was Fancy Pants. So I brought Patty Cake home, and She is getting settled in. She’s growing a little, but that’s to be expected. Oh yeah, they have great coffee also. They waived the adoption fee for adult cats so I donated. Welcome home Patty Cake!By Danger Mouse (7 months ago)A Purrfect place to come out to. It’s a good place to see if a cat could be good for you. They keep around 10 or so cats around in the play area and there all up for adoption as well. Even if you don’t want to own a cat. It’s a great place to relax with some cat’s and get all the OwO pictures you want.By Raiya Safaia (a year ago)We had a PURRFECT experience!! The souvenirs were cute, and the cats were adorable and well cared for! I’ve been to a lot of cat cafes, and this was by far the best! I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves cats!! ❤️ ???? The barista was quick and friendly. Every employee was friendly and nice. We had an AWESOME time!!! ????????By Danielle Cozzola (a week ago)If you’re visiting Louisville, stop by Purrfect Day Cat Cafe. It was the highlight of my recent trip. Time with the kittens was EVERYTHING. ???? The drinks are delicious with fun names. The cafe is beautiful. The cause is so worthy. 10/10By LeKechia Lyshell (6 months ago)Super cute place. Didn’t feel crowded and they have treats you can snack on while you wait for your appointment. The kittens are very loving and I am happy to hear that they find homes quickly.By Autumn Ledbetter (7 months ago)

- Reviews:Amazing group of people, I cannot recommend KHS enough! I’ve been able to foster a few dogs for them over the years and the process has always been so easy and I’m always so impressed by the organization and how they check up on you and make sure everything is going well. Without KHS I wouldn’t have my sweet kitty Ellie or my incredible soulmate in dog form, Gracie! I am so thankful for them, they are truly a compassionate and caring group of people and I would recommend them to everyone looking to adopt their new best friend! I also highly recommend fostering for them!By Lexi Knight (4 months ago)Lots and lots of great dogs at a wonderful location. Very happy with the staff under such busy circumstances. Still looking for the right dog. Thanks for all your help today.By TBits Admin (a month ago)Went here looking to adopt a dog they are well cared for. We did not find one of the older dogs that would work for us at this location. They had several that were very friendly and affectionate we were needing one that was a little more laid back.By Bryan Thiersch (4 months ago)such a caring and helpful staff. This is such a nice no kill shelter. I adopted my cat from here. He was a rehab cat that had a broken femur and I think hip. Not sure how he got messed up at such an early age as he was about 6 months when I first got him but I’m thankful they fixed him up. He now has the best life and has helped me cope with being thousands of miles away from my fiancee and daughter due to covid. I will be back again.
Got my new baby on the 28th of October. She is so sweet and loving. The staff at The Animal House is wonderful. They truly care about the animals and do everything possible to match the right pet with the right family!
It was perfect, we found a forever home for one animal there. We love him so much
I was so sorry to see the number of pit bulls put up for adoption. People, please stop breeding these poor animals who then end up here!!! Thank God for this center and those who work there. The place was clean and you could tell the animals were well taken care of!!!
I brought an abandoned dog in and was tricked into filling out information and giving my ID so that they could threaten me with criminal charges if I didn’t return the dog back to where it was abandoned, which was a roommate situation where the owner of dog had left. These people were very rude and didn’t care about the welfare of the dog
