- Reviews:Great employees, fish tanks are almost always clean (some dead fish, but normal shipping stuff). If an employee doesn’t know something, they won’t tell you they do. Rather, they’ll let you know they don’t know and ask another associate ( I love that!). We recently got a second ferret from them too, and he’s as happy and healthy as can be!!By Jesse Hayes (a month ago)Today I went in and adopted a ferret to bond with my other. Cage was disgusting and the ferrets didn’t look very happy. I adopted a girl who they said was 2 months old. She was good for the first few hours til she was laying on me and her breathing seemed off. After setting her in the cage she thew up what appeared to be rubber pieces… if anyone knows ferrets they love to chew and eat rubber which can easily destroy their digestive systems… so they shouldn’t of even had that in there. These people should be taking care of these animals like their own children. Especially since most of the animals they have in there are babies (1 year or under) never go here…(attached is photo of what she threw up..)By Lexi Mendes (7 months ago)I have a zoo of animals at home so I’m sure you can imagine how much money I spend here. Loved coming to this store for the deals and convenience of the location. Never had issues for years until recently, they have been playing loud inappropriate music while I’m shopping with my kids. This is a pet shop, not a bar. It’s a gamble with some of the new workers if they will be helpful and nice or not. Many have attitudes and do not want to help. Some are really nice and go above and beyond. I heard another worker tell one of the girls the way she answered me was mean. And it indeed was. I’m not sure why she is so rude to customers? But I left, going somewhere else now. I’d like to come back and do my normal pet supplies haul that I have been doing for years, but if this is how things are going to be, I’ll be forced to go out of my way but where I’m welcome.By M D (a month ago)My grandparents brought their chihuahua in for a quick nail trim and they were told by the girls in grooming that they do not accept chihuahuas for grooming. They have brought their dog there multiple times before. WowBy Alexis Otero (2 months ago)The Lorain store had many varieties of Blue dog food. An associate walking through the aisle noticed I needed help, so he helped me get two bags of 50-lb. bags into the cart and then loaded them into my car. (I didn’t even have to ask.) This saved my husband and son from having to take a trip to the store with me. Go where people will help you!By Linda O (2 months ago)

Friendship APL is truly my happy place. I’m proud to say that I’m a repeat customer of theirs and volunteered there for 3 years straight. I cannot say enough good about this place…Their new and improved facility is amazing, variety is good and attention to detail of their staff, as well as kindness is Second to None! If you’re looking for an animal companion, come here. You will not be disappointed!
Yesterday we adopted a puppy from the Friendship APL for the first time.
His name is Jasper, he’s 5 months old, and he’s the goodest boy. I couldn’t get over how very clean the Friendship APL is. Even with all the cats & dogs there wasn’t even a smell, that’s how clean they keep it.
All of the animals were clearly very well cared for and the staff are all friendly & knowledgeable. It was just the best experience and I will definitely be recommending them to anyone I talk to that’s looking to adopt an animal.
Thankyou for providing exceptional care & service to the dogs&cats looking for new homes in Lorain county.
Hello! A few weeks ago I moved to Cleveland from Puerto Rico. I brought my broly puppy that is a mix of Boston with frechie, in the house where we live we can’t have it. I tried to convince the landlord by paying him additional rent but he refused. I don’t know what to do with him to get him a family. do not know anyone. could you help me ?
We adopted our newest fur baby family member, Daisy! Was a busy day to go for a pup, but the shelter volunteers handled everything very smoothly.
I adopted a kitten in Feb after I lost my cat of 13 years. I am so blessed with Taco. The staff are amazing. Please check this place out. The cost is low, but what you get back in love from an animal is priceless. . A big hug to this place for their compassion and kindness to animals. Thank you so much. If you are reading this, please take the time to
check them out and adopt.
