- Reviews:I’ve been training here for over a year and can’t speak more highly of this gym. Rich and Kevin are excellent coaches, and the instruction is top notch. You can definitely tell that Rich trained under John Danaher. There are people from all skill levels and no egos which makes for a lot of great rolls. It’s also the only academy in the area that has no gi 5x a week (6 days if you count open mat!). He will often ask me when is the next class. I like how they offer a no hassle 1 week free trial. No pressure in sales or anything. Classes are offer from Mondays to Saturdays and class capacity is pretty open. For the monthly subscription price and the class flexibility, I think the class is totally worth it. Smiles per square feet was off the charts. In my experience living in the Bay Area I’ve met personally a number of people that either train here or have their young children train here and I’ve literally only gotten positive feedback. Super open no matter what school you train at or what experience level you are. If I was in the area, I’d choose to train here. If you are around this school, please check it out. Our son has been attending classes at Wushu Central since Jan 2022, and he absolutely loves it. They have convenient class schedules which really makes it easy for busy schedules and the coaches are amazing! We commend the coaches on their patience especially with the little ones, because let’s be honest, little ones aren’t easy. Depending on the class size they will have multiple coaches on the mat to make sure all the kiddos are getting the attention they need, which is awesome. Needless to say, we love it here and we highly recommend them!
Very nice coaches. It not just teaches kids Martial Arts, but also teach the kids how to persist. This is the only afterschool that I send my son to.
We signed up my kids 6 months ago (2 and 4yo) and while at the beginning they sometimes had a hard time to focus, after a month or so they are fully engaged in their classes. My youngest one is with tiny tigers which preps them to some skills like jumping, balancing, etc. and my older one is with the little heroes. I think the incredible thing about Wushu is the coaches! They are so patient with the kids and know how to get them to engage in the class even if they are shy or not feeling like it on this day. They also teach them to focus and I have seen incredible progress for my 2 kids in just 6 months. It is the first activity they do outside of school that they are excited about going to! Thank you!
My 7 year old kids have been going to Wushu Central for almost 2 years now. They started out in Wushu kids and are now doing great in Future Stars. I love how the coaches display high energy , patience and ample focus and attention on each student . My kids to this day continue to be engaged, motivated and happy to attend class !
We went in for a trial class for our 2.5 year old and she really enjoyed the 30 minute Tiny Tigers class. She got 1-on-1 attention and was made to feel comfortable and was jumping, sliding and balancing along the obstacle course. However the classes are just out of our price range $179/month to attend one class a week. That comes out to $45 for a 30 minute class which was essentially a gymnastics class/obstacle course.
