- Reviews:PAD THAI – 8/10 not much chicken on it. It was delicious and not too dry unlike the other pad thai. PANANG CURRY – 9/10 very delicious dish. Chicken was tender and the spicy level was on point! I just wish there’s more chicken on it but overall it was good! WANTON SOUP W/DUCK – 8/10 Hot and delicious perfect for the weather. Wanton was so good but too small. Egg noodles were thin and soft, really good. Duck was tender. I am not fan of the greens on top. Maybe I’ll ask not to add that next time but overall it was good. MANGO WITH STICKY RICE – 10/10 When we first came here the mango that was serve to us was a bit sour. Today, mango served to us was sweet much better than last time. Sticky rice was soooo good! This dessert was a bomb! I came back because of this and never disappoint the second time around. TARO CUSTARD – 9/10 It was delicious!! Not too sweet, soft and melts in your mouth. Serving was just too small. OVERALL EXPERIENCE – 10/10 we came here twice already for lunch and we always leave this restaurant satisfied! They also have Lunch specials from 11:30am to 3pm with complimentary appetizers of your choice. We chose Tom Yum Soup, Spinach Soup (small cup) and Pot Stickers (2 per serving) and it was good! Quality is still there even if its just a complimentary. ???? Highly recommend!By Rosemarie Comaling (2 months ago)Since Green Peapod Thai was closed on Monday’s, we decided to try AltThai in Arlington Heights. Most of our party had Thai Iced Tea’s. For appetizers, we shared an order of Spring Rolls, which consisted of cucumber, beansprout, carrot, beets, and tofu wrapped and served with plum sauce. We were surprised that it wasn’t fried but surprised it was just as tasty. The other guests in our party enjoyed Rama Tofu (tofu, broccoli, carrots, and peapods in a peanut sauce), Basil Fried Rice (fried rice with basil leaves, bell peppers, onions, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, jalapeño, and egg), Wonton Soup (chicken dumplings, BBQ pork, bean sprouts, green onions, cilantro, and lettuce in a flavorful broth), and Pad Kee Mao (wild noodles stir fried with basil leaves, bell pepper, tomato, carrot, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, broccoli, onion, and jalapeño). I loved the Pad See Ew with Tofu and Vegetables, which consisted of wide noodles stir-fried with sliced tofu, broccoli, carrot, peapod, and egg in a sweet and savory soy sauce. We left no room for dessert.By Samantha Lee (a month ago)Visited on a weekday. The service was good, the food delicious & good presentation. Will definitely return.By Patricia (a week ago)One of the best places where you can taste some great Thai food, the food is great and also the service it’s exceptional. Very great place where you can go and have a great relax time, we’ve tried a variety of plates and all of them were exceptional…. This is a MUST TRY restaurant..!By Alexander Angulo (9 months ago)I ordered food for pickup for 11 people. The panang curry and red curry with white rice was the best item ordered and recommended. The Thai fried rice was too bland and comes dry (I was not aware of this) and tasted too plain with no flavor. The pad see ew and pad Kee mao are very similar but tasted too bland as well – They weren’t spicy and didn’t have much flavor.By K10 Patel (6 months ago)

- Reviews:This place far exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing, and service was quick. Everything we ordered looked and tasted great. Prices were about on par with other similar restaurants – it’s not cheap but I wouldn’t call it expensive either.By Annie Singer (in the last week)What a gem to find, we went on a Monday afternoon and we were blown away by the quality and taste of the food. The chef/owner came out to talk to us while we ate and was very friendly and was a blast to chat with. We ordered the Assam laksa, char Kway teow, and half a duck. The Laksa was deliciously sour and the half duck was outstanding! This was a highlight of a small trip through Chicago and we couldn’t recommend it more!By Abbey Jane (4 weeks ago)Average service, seating area was ok. Portions were good with reasonable price . Hainanese chicken was cook perfectly and tender. Beef loMein was good , beef was tender , I love the vegetables comes with the LoMein. Chicken and shrimp with Tofu dish was mild flavor, it goes perfectly together . 4 stars for the foods.By Ellen H (5 months ago)Great food and excellent service. Waitress was very helpful and answered our questions and made excellent recommendations. We ordered 4 dishes and it fed us 4 quite well. Definitely recommend the Malaysian dishes and not the generic Asian foods. The Malaysian foods really shine here. The aesthetics and atmosphere is decent but it’s nothing really memorable but the food is what makes this place very memorable. The amount of food you get from the dishes is good. Not super generous but good enough to fill up your stomach without getting bloated. Overall, I would recommend this place if you want to try something different.By TinaEh VangLee (a month ago)What happened to this place. Let me just start by saying that the food itself was pretty delicious. However, that’s about the only good thing I experienced. We had a reservation for 10 as soon as they opened and we waited 10 minutes for them to get set up. There was no other customers. We then waited another 15 mins be served for them to take our order. Meanwhile, another family came after us and were served first. After our server took our order, we waited close to 30-40 minutes to get our food, while the other large family of 8-10 got their food before us even though they arrived after we us. I also forgot to mention that the whole place was leaking and had random buckets on the ground to catch the water. The walls were also filthy, all roughed up needing a new coat of paint. The whole experience was just bad, luckily when the food came out, it was still pretty good. I do hope they get some more help and renovate the place.By Paolo Tolosa (a year ago)

The restaurant was packed when I arrived at 7pm on a Sunday. Great sign!
I was seated fairly quickly. Service was friendly and relatively quick, given how busy they were.
The food was delicious though slightly and consistently undersalted – not a bad thing. Salt is a matter of personal taste and can be added, but not removed. This seems to be deliberate and smart!
The prices were reasonable given the current inflation.
I will be going back!
A fast paced restaurant with quick food out to the tables. Friday night, the place was packed. We ordered varieties of chicken, beef and vegetables dishes along with appetizers. The food was good. Service was great and overall felt like a factory.
OUR FAVORITE CHINESE RESTAURANT EVER! The lines are long and the wait is crazy during peak hours but the food is always worth it!
Great place for authentic Chinese and Korean cuisine. The Mango Shrimp was alright as the mango wasn’t ripe (understandable as they aren’t in season) and tasted very strongly of ketchup. The spicy seafood noodles, however, are outstanding and filled with succulent seafood.
Wow, this restaurant has some exceptional’s Chinese food. Affordable and they have great service. Highly recommend to try the chicken wings since they are packed with flavor. I will definitely will come back again to this restaurant for the wings specifically.
