So what was the point of wasting more of my time? Have had many issues getting over charged then having issues getting them to honor their price guarantee. I’ve had to deal with drunk people being belligerent and then the manager standing right there did and said nothing to them instead she talked down to me. I’ve had employees fefuse to honor the price guarantee because their manager wasn’t there and had left for the day. Multiple occasions my frozen and refrigerated foods thawed and warmed up dealing with incompetent employees. Had many issues with poor produce, mis labeled, and incorrect prices. I was given the incorrect instructions for a medication and I was starting to overdose, luckily I went to see a new Dr. and they immediately recognized the instructions were incorrect and the side effects I was having were progressing into life threatening. Wow this grocery store is great! I thought I might have a problem finding some things that I wanted but they have it all. Clean, neat and friendly service
Not one of the better Hy Vees I’ve shopped. Also they seem to be leading the trend away from aluminum and plastic recycling by having absolutely NO recycling center even though they sell (even their OWN brand) in both aluminum and plastic, and charge deposit fees on those containers. Way to care for your customers, and worse yet, for mother earth!
I can’t say enough good about the Hamilton Hy-vee location. The selection is excellent and the storeisspaciousandclean. The fresh meat department has a good offering, and they will cut steaks or chops to order. Dave in meat goes out of his way to learn his customers’ names and always has a smile and a wave when he sees you. The front-end customer service is well staffed, and it’s easy to get help when you need it. The Chinese takeout is pretty good, but later in the evening, around 6 or 7, the food isn’t as fresh or flavorful. It seems like they stop cooking fresh selections a while before closing and just sell what’s already made. I recommend eating the takeout before then for this reason. The pharmacy and wine and spirits selection round out a good one-stop shopping experience.
It’s always a great place to grocery shop. The best produce and seafood in town. Staff is always helpful and friendly. My Dad was one of the contractors who built the old HyVee that was located on Hamilton and W 4th St…we have been a fan of HyVee ever since.
Honestly, I’m very pleased with this particular Hyvee. Fast and friendly staff, always clean counters, customer service really great. My favorite is an employee named Larenzo Dodd, always fantastic attitude and commentary. If you go in for anything, you’re in for a treat.
